For some years I have known about the existence of Sababa - initially I used to have lunch in their Bree street store which has now unfortunately closed. This closure sort of took them to “out of sight out of mind”, until recently when I happens to walk through St John’s Plaza in Sea Point and bought myself a take home lunch. The imagination and attention to detail with which their food is produced together with the pleasant staff, make it a venue of choice - actually an absolute must !

We stumbled upon this rather by coincidence looking for a healthy lunch. We were not disappointed: the salads and wraps were super fresh and tasty. The service was very friendly.

I love Sababa! I can highly recommend them as they've never dissappointmented me! If they offered delivery I could live off their menu! Food is prepared fresh everyday so that you are guaranteed a delicious meal everytime. Flavours are Mediterranean in nature (yum), healthy and nutritious enough for my diet. I can suggest their wraps for a quick lunch or pre-made meals that you can take home as a dinner replacement.

The perfect lunch take away! Sababa has some of the best Middle Eastern bites in CPT. They make everything fresh in the morning and sell until they run out. The lunch box special is incredibly affordable (60 rand i believe) and loaded. Well, you get to load it. You choose one protein and then 3 salads/sides to choose from, which are all exotic and different. It's located UPSTAIRS in the Piazza St Johns. Definitely worth stopping in for a lunch. And check out New Routes Travel for more information on food and Cape Town in general!

Very fresh and delicious food. Best Humus in Cape Town. Amazing lunch boxes. Wish I could eat their food each day. Also find them at the Oranjezicht market on Saturday morning and have the falafel bowl. My favorite for years now.
