Very comfortable Hubbly lounge that does not disappoint. There is never a shortage of pipes or flavours, and the coal is replenished regularly so the entire hubbly is smoked to completion. The waiting staff is quick, friendly and trained. A very good night time vibe with kareoke on Thursdays.

Oh dear I love this place, their hubblys are well done fresh and made to perfection, karaoke nights on Thursday’s and Saturdays are so entertaining, and Friday nights live Dj will keep you off your feet. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, owners will see to your needs and always checks up to see you are sorted. Lovely outside chill spot and drinks are great. You are allowed to bring your own food !!

By far the best place to unwind in Rivonia. They have a lunch menu with very affordable eastern food. After hours it comes alive! Best enjoyed with amazing company and a few drinks. The owner is very friendly and usually offers free drinks to its patrons. The experience overall is great and the staff make it very hard to leave.....but don't take my word for it, it's an experience you must personally feel.

Worst service I've ever had. The staff completely ignores you. Half the time many of the ingredients are missing, both for food and drinks, and no one could be bothered about it. The hubbly is average. There is zero ambience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Used to be the only hubbly spot in rivonia so one would go here only due to a lack of options. Now that the competition has arrived, this is not worth the visit. Hubbly is expensive and quality is poor, limited food offering, ambience too dingy.

Babylos is a fairly decent place to smoke a good pipe on a Sunday afternoon if you don't possess the necessary skill set to make one yourself...or you're too lazy. Don't go there hungry though because the food may leave you feeling like you've cheated for nothing 🙈 I've ordered a plate of chips and I got a plate of oil with chips on the side.😳<br/>the pipe is worth the trouble though.

Didnt have anything to drink or eat here - but my cousin ordered a Cappuccino and the cup looked dodgey (dirty). The hubbly was authentic and good compared to other places i have been to. Very chilled though so best go there on a Sunday ( Newscafe across the road has a live band at night)

Not impressed at all by this restaurant, we had caffe latte and firstly it was not served in the correct cups as caffe lattes are and secondly the service was INCREDIBLY slow. I feel that the offerings are very over priced, as a cup of free tea was R30, but steep for Green tea. Won't be returning here again.

One of the worst meals and experiences I have had this year. Food took ages to arrive, when it did it was luke warm, portion was small and the steak came with no sides, which had to be requested separately. When they did arrive they were average at best. Well overpriced. Called for the manger, and despite numerous requests he did not come. Won't be back!!

It was a Thursday Morning and I had woken up by a rumbling stomach.<br/><br/>Me and my friends usually go down to News Cafe on Boulevard (front opposite Byblos) and have the really affordable breakfast, but we saw a banner for a R45 200g burger + either a soda or beer. (Best way to cure a hangover is with another beer right ?!?). I must say, the decor is absolutely revolting but it also have a very middle eastern vibe to it that's relaxed and calming. <br/><br/>The service was absolutely wonderful, that waitress was so attentive and was friendly enough. The waiting period for our order was about 15 to 20 minutes, but it was well worth it. That burger is juicy, delicious, fresh and packed with flavor. I may not be a huge fan of their fries but it helped to not have my plate look so empty. Overall its a weirdly decorated but underrated lil restaurant nestled in Rivonia on Boulevard, promises great value for money.

Visited Byblos a few times during the afternoon as well as a weekend night and love the chilled vibe of the place. However a few weekends back I went with a friend who came up to Jhb and it seems to have new owners. The place was now being marketed as a bar and had people thrown out, fights and private security called. <br/><br/>Love the setting of this Lebanese restaurant. With its ottomans and coffee tables it feels as if you in some Middle Eastern tea shop. <br/><br/>Their meals are fairly priced and big portions, I enjoy their chicken kebabs which come served with chips, salad and pita. (which is not on the menu anymore)<br/><br/>Their liquid menu and hubbly (water pipes) also add to the experience.<br/><br/>Not sure if I will be revisiting the place again.
