What a gem!! Love the decor, the frozen margarita was sublime! We ordered a large platter to share which was also really delicious. Loved the chicken wings especially. The chocolate mousse wasn't my favourite, a bit too sweet for me. Overall a wonderful experience, keep it up guys!!

Authentic Mexican food, nice and relaxing place. Don't let the location fool you, inside and in the back garden the setting is much better. The hostess has some great stories about her life, very entertaining

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere make Deez a great joint for a small group or a couple to visit. The food is served fresh and piping hot, and those running the restaurant make sure you feel welcome and cared for.

A really pleasant dining experience Very different in a good way. Service is a little slow as the owner is the only one looking after the tables, but we were in no hurry We had a very pleasant experience We will be back

Food is incredibly overpriced. You are charged R30 extra for your filling. The menu doesn’t state clearly that you pay R95 for 2 empty taco shells, a bunch of leaves, guac and sour cream. Who puts empty taco shells on a menu in the first place. This restaurant will never see me again.

Great experience. Go with a group of friends. Feels like a real Mexican shack. Food is traditional Mexican dishes. Tasty full of flavour. Well worth a visit. Been back 3 times with friends. This is not fine dining but it is like sitting in Mexico in someone's house enjoying their traditional food and warm service.

Oh Deez, what happened? Back in the late 90s/early 00s, in the old locale, Deez was amazing. Good food, rad service, a million memories. Now, well, it's overpriced, below average and just doesn't feel right at all. It used to be a spot I would frequent several times a year, but I think my last visit was officially the end. Farewell old friend.

Great atmosphere and even better food!!! The owner is one of the best people I know!!! Always making sure you are happy!!! I have chillipoppers everywhere in the world I go. And no one comes close to Deez chillipoppers.

Had a 'not so yummy ' experience here .Apart from waiting long before being served and the food taking long to be pushed out to us ,the food was pretty much bland and below par.

The food was delightful, service was friendly, atmosphere from the decor and lighting to the music was superb. Really felt like dining in a little picturesque hidden Mexican gem. If you're looking for something less pretentious, more wholesome and authentic, and great Mexican food this is the one.

We were a group of 7 people that had dinner here on Saturday evening. Unfortunately they did not have a kiddies chair so had to manage the baby a bit. I don't think they get many customers with kids though.

The restaurant is quite small, but with a nice atmosphere. We orders some milkshakes, frozen margaritas jug and a few other drinks. They put a lemon slice in the Coke and the Corona which was a bit strange, but hey it's a Mexican place.

As for the food, the chilli poppers were fresh and packed a punch. I had the enchilada which wasn't great but not bad. The nachos Grande is really nice.

Service was ok. Food was ok. Not bad, not great.

Food has really improved since the last time I was there a year or so ago, great little place with delicious Mexican platters. The Chilli Poppers are quite 🌶🌶😳😋

Mexican food lovers--this one is for you! Capetonians are fairly spoiled for choice these days as far as Tex-Mex cuisine is concerned. I'd been hearing about Deez in Hout Bay for a while and, to be honest, wasn't expecting too much when I finally decided to give them a try. From the outside, the humble little roadside restaurant doesn't look particularly spectacular; however, looks can be deceiving... Their food is an absolute delight. We started off with a Mexican platter for two, which was generously portioned and had a fantastic variety. We sampled basically all of the starters. Although we were already quite satisfied, we decided to go all-out and ordered the Nachos Grande. The home-made nacho chips and assorted toppings were face-meltingly delicious, and completely unique from any nachos I've tried before. The service at Deez was also faultless, and we were treated with utmost courtesy and hospitality from beginning to end. It's always refreshing when restaurant staff take the time to find out what you enjoy, and make recommendations based on those personal preferences. We felt completely at home and could easily dine there on a weekly basis, if only we lived in the area. So, if Mexican cuisine is your thing, you need to visit Deez asap and educate your tastebuds. It is an absolute treat.

A quaint rustic restaurant in a heritage site with the most delightful staff. No frills just good food and Great chilli poppers and tequila by the bucket load.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Hout Bay! I've been dinning at this happy little spot since it first opened many moons ago, the food has always been consistently delicious and so has the friendly, playful staff. I highly recommend the tequila mouse and a jug of margarita. Perfect spot for a birthday or celebration with friends :)
