Spring Rolls made from heaven...those pulled brisket spring rolls with that incredible homemade chilli/hot sauce...one of the best sauces I've had :) Chef was accommodating. And for someone who generally goes for Vegetarian food, The ostrich burger was so delicious!! Thank you for a lovely dinner, well-worth it :)

Visited Bovine last night to see what they had on offer. I order the Fat Cow Burger, and Wow!! This had to be one of the juiciest burgers that I had in a long time. Before this we also order some chicken samosas that came with a herb chutney. Good heavens I don't know what they put in that chutney, but it is so so good. I had to dip my chips into it to.
The service is fast, friendly and excellent!! I can highly recommend them to anyone wanting to try them out.
Prices are in the mid to high range, but well worth it for this quality of food.
Franschoek is known for long drawn out meals and really posh food. We weren't in the mood for a three hour sit down meal, but still wanted quality food. We ended up at Bovine's and it lived up to our expectations! Great service, lovely picky food and quality ingredients. We will definitely be back - especially for the homemade chipotle mayo!
I enjoyed the visit to this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the chips and coffee were great. I can't wait to taste their food! They also have the most amazing paintings available from Gerart Exclusive Art Gallery which is situated nearby.
Franschhoek Village is undoubtedly one of my favourite South African small towns for a lazy stoll on a weekend. On one such occasion, the sun was out and cold beverage was the order of the day to quench a well earned thirst, after the ‘have-to-do’ angel posing 👼🏼
Menu looked promising, we only a had a delightful starter to share. I enjoyed the people watching personally…

Charming pavement cafe on the equally charming high street in Franschhoek. Famous for its burgers, the buttermilk chicken burger stole the show (add extra bacon!) although the beef burgers were very juicy and the selection of loaded fries very filling. Keep space for some dessert; the chocolate brownie was a perfect end to a lovely meal.

Great little restaurant that is fast becoming a top contender in the Franschhoek scene.
Bistro/Steakhouse doing excellent quality produce and well sourced meats etc. Great selection of wines and craft beers. Friendly and efficient service. Food is really good and they also have great special in afternoon for 2 drinks either wine or beer and a selected tapas dish for R100 which is a great deal. Will be back soon.
We had a wonderful dinner here during our honeymoon. The food was delicious and service fantastic. If you want a relaxed restaurant with fantastic and very well cooked food with great wine, you can’t go wrong with Bovine!

OMG. The food is excellent, the flavours are indescribable. Compliments to the chef. And the wine selection compliments the meals. A must when you are in Franschhoek ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. If I could, I would give them 10 stars
The service quick and efficient. The waitress was a bouncy person ready to advise and be of good service. We only ate a French toast syrup and bacon and it was so tasty and it was presented to the T. The food was delicious and I seriously have never eaten a French toast like this before. Yummy
The atmosphere was great and one felt you could enjoy it and watch the people walking by chitter chatting set in a scenic view of the Majestic mountain in the background.
Well done I would advise anyone to try out this restaurant.
