Review Fishaways - Claremont

This was my first Nandos and it was a fun experience, especially because of the sauces. We were treated to lunch here by a business partner and it was an honor to get to try one of South Africa's most famous exports! Note that the portions run small (which is better for everyone anyway :)).

The atmosphere is Serene the service tops and topped with a welcoming smile.. The chicken is true to the Nandos ethic

Friendly staff, and fresh food. The parking situation isn't great as there's no dedicated parking for Nandos customers, so you have to park in the parkade behind the Nandos, which you have to pay for, and then walk around to the front. Other than that it is a nice enough Nandos to sit and eat, or to just pop in and grab a takeaway from. It is easy to find as it is on Main Road.

It's peaceful in the mornings of which I like. The fiesta fries really hits differently. That's my favorite meal. I always come back for more

The food was great and it seemed very clean and hygienic. Service was slower than other Nando’s. Location makes it difficult to find parking and it doesn’t feel safe even though it actually is.

Good food. Just a pity the staff generally sit at the best tables and quite often serve themselves before other customers. Update: this problem has been rectified...

Best service in town, thanks to the store managers Balisa and Pelisa. They do a wonderful job there. Complete to all the staff for order efficiency, customer service and always in a good mood.

Loved the friendly service from all staff. I pre ordered and was going to have a take away but decided to sit and enjoy my meal. So lovely and tender the chicken on my burger was and the peri wedges was perfectly spiced. Quick and efficient service, just the way I like it.

I had the grill meal, the fish tasted really nice once I squeezed lemon over the fish which added to the flavour however the stir fry, was mainly lettuce and was salty, the rice tasted really great compared to the stir fry but still wasnt great. If you are looking for a healthy fast food alternative, I would suggest just ordering a grilled hake fillet.

Great place to have some fish Burgers, meals and so on, not that heavy on pocket as well. Packaging is also nice.i loved the tske away bag,it was nice.<br/>Now tastewise, i will definitely visit again to try thr fish burger

The service was friendly and they were a bit fast (not the fastest I've had) however, the portions were ridiculously small. The medium hake and salad was tiny. Not too chuffed about that

Bought the new fish special for a takeaway lunch: R119.95 for four pieces of hake and side of chips. Great family option and good value for money! Fish was well cooked with a crispy batter and there was a generous amount of chips. Friendly and fast service. The fact that they put in extra serviettes and tartar sauce was also a bonus!

Love a seafood platter anytime anywhere. And sometimes just a simple, fresh platter from Fishaways is all we need.<br/><br/>This branch has been here for a pretty long time and we've always had a great meal. Fresh fish and crispy chips. I really love the tempura prawns and could eat a whole plate of them!<br/><br/>@bigjoe

We had a quick meal in Cavendish and it was surprisingly nice. We ordered fried fish, prawns and fish balls. Everything was crunchy and tasty. Staffs are also providing good service (it was Tuesday lunch time and was not that busy). We will certainly go back.

Bad customer service from desk staff especially if you're a black customer. White, coloured and Indian customers' money apparently has more worth. Cashiers will scream at you and gossip about you in Xhosa all while you are standing right in front of them and after you have handed over your money. Manager is difficult to reach and cashiers purposely take your proof of purchase making it difficult for you to complain after your transaction. There are lots of other places to buy seafood at Cavendish mall. Give this place a miss.

It was SO nice, I had to have it twice! Literally 😅. Keep in mind that I only love fish, when it's fried to perfection and boy was it perfect! I will definitely go again and again and again!

I tried Fishaways for the first time and was impressed I had the prawns and chips with a creamy lemon butter sauce on the side. The quality and size of prawns was better than expected for a fast food restaurant.<br/><br/>The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Popped into fishaways before our movie. I had the pop prawns which is a favourite of mine and Sashen had the hake burger with chips. Both meals were fresh, crispy and delicious. The pop prawns were slightly oily but still enjoyable.
