Visited the Sea Point branch today! ✨ The staff were lovely and welcoming and the burgers tasted FRESH and delicious ☺️ The packaging and overall presentation was great too. Highly recommend and wish them all the best on their new branch in Sea Point, Will definitely visit again 🫶

Literally THE BEST burger I’ve ever tasted in my life! I had the chicken n cheese burger. So fresh even though I took it as an takeaway and only ate it an hour later. The skinny fries and milkshake are delicious as well. So worth your money. 10/10 would recommend.

I’d vote this place to be the best burger spot in town. The chips are on point and I really enjoyed the freshness of their products. The milkshakes are on point.

I started ordering from Junior last year, and they are still extremely good. I use Uber Eats for all of my food needs, and Junior is a good option for those days when you aren't sure what to order. The food quality has been high, all my orders are correct, and there is always communication from the restaurant when an order needs changing. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving Junior a try, great quality food, very fast dispatch times, and all in all a well rounded restaurant. * The only negative I have experienced is small sauce portions with the chicken nuggets. This is only a minor complaint. 9.5 / 10

Very impressed. Best “fast food” burger I’ve ever had. Delicious flame grilled patties. Caramelised onions. Incredible sauce. Took only 8 minutes (they weren’t busy). Was skeptical, but would definitely go back.

Decent fast food burger place, def quite a notch above McD‘s, Steers etc. Fries w/ Junior sauce are great, burgers solid, rooibos ice tea sweetened with honey (too sweet for my taste, but you might like it). Not a comfy/cozy place, more a quick meal-type, but nice interior design. Would come back!

Imagine eating a McDonald's burger and then just as your mind is about to trick you into the portal of guilt association and junk food, you are suddenly and ever so pleasantly, surprised by the comforting notion that what you're eating is pure, organic bliss. A moist, yet perfectly grilled burger bun served as the bread baked shell for a simple yet tasty patty resting on crisp lettuce and crunchy sliced tomato. We were wonderfully impressed by Junior's.

My favorite fast food burger place. I suggest getting the double if you hungry. The lemonade is excellent. Can't wait to go back here. It's the closest thing I can compare to In n Out burger or Five guys. You cna ask for the sauce on the side. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed. The service is good. The prices are affordable.

The burgers are small enough, and they are really really good. The place is like a fast food restaurant with really good "fast food". They serve wine in an interesting way😅. Top 5 veggie burger Top 2 chips Top 1 cool factor, it's awesome.

Lovely classic diner feeling restaurant with authentic burgers that really are fast food - but better. Service quick and cheerful. Doughnuts are fresh and delicious. This is a more expensive place as the fries do not come with the burgers (if you do not mind sharing, you could some burgers and cheesy fries to share). Will definitely re-visit again and again.

There was a time where if I spent any amount of time away from Cape Town the first thing I'd do was come to juniors for a burger.<br/><br/>The quality has faded, sure like there's drips n drabs of that solid flavour in the burgers, the crispy bits etc, but the patties are so thin, the buns are get soggy, the fries are so flavorless. The cheese sauce is so pointless like they could of at least done something to make it taste like anything but a white sauce with minuscule cheap cheese.<br/><br/>It's a proper shame considering last I checked they make everything every day from scratch.<br/><br/>Not even the amazing prices can convince me not to head down to spar and do it myself

This my favourite fast food burger (cheese burger!) in Cape Town. Even when taken back home across the city through cold and rain, luke warm, it is still the best, every time. Oreo milkshake needs a bit more oreo, ours just tasted of vanilla. Otherwise a great consistency for a milkshake.

Yummy chicken burger and fries, wasn’t a huge fan of the veggie burger, but that may just be me.<br/>In terms of atmosphere at the restaurant, not 100% sure I’d sit there unless I’d had a few drinks, but as a take away it’s delicious.

Do you feel like fast food and crave for junk food but you think McDonald is way too fake? Then aim for Junior, properly fast foodie with no intent to be part of the gourmet burger trend. The buns and patties are tasty, I had BBQ bacon burger, and the chips fulfilled my desire for junk with their Junior sauce ( basically tomato sauce and mayo). I just wish the service was a bit quicker, it took a while to have my order even in an empty moment of the shop.

What an awesome little gem! Portions can be compared to Mc Donald's, fries and other extras are...extra. You can enjoy a beer and even wine while enjoying the old school retro vibe. Reasonably priced

Tried Junior for the first time today. I had been so keen to try it for awhile, and it lived up to my expectations.<br/><br/>Very friendly staff, clean & tidy inside, and efficient service. We had cheeseburgers, cheesy fries & the fries with junior sauce.<br/><br/>We enjoyed it all so much. Will definitely be back for more 🍔🍟

I am so glad that they use free-range chicken! I tried them twice now. The fried chicken burger was smaller than expected, but it tasted delicious. Crispy chicken that was warm and succulent. Their chicken 'nugget' portion was also smaller than expected, but considering it was free-range and tasted great, I didn't mind. Also happy that their chili sauce actually has some kick to it.

For someone who dislikes "fast-food" and was skeptical to try a tofu burger this place blew my mind AWAY, the tofu burger was delicious (maybe because i have never had it before) however that does not mean the quality was incredible, it was rather plain but was GREAT for a "vegetarian Mc Donalds!" <br/>Maybe my point of reference is also rather distorted from all the bean burgers I have eaten at fast food joints (frozen veg patties, reheated and heated again) ...<br/><br/>The chicken nuggets/bites were a little unrecognizable in the shapes they came in and were dry but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

So so good - a huge difference between Junior burgers and the usual chain fast food burgers 🍔🍔 Cheesy fries weren’t so great, because I think they use a cheap cheese sauce that doesn’t contain much real cheese, but the normal fries are yummmm! <br/>Will definitely be back to stuff my face!

I always enjoy going to this cute little joint. It's the perfect place to grab a bite during a night out. The service is very prompt and the staff have always been friendly. The burgers are scrumptious and the milkshakes are thick and yummy. Average fries, great tomato sauce. Value for money is pretty decent. It is always very clean and tidy inside. Super adorable decor too!

My girlfriend and I went there at 22:30 and were greeted by friendly staff. Ordered the cheeseburger and fries and absolutely loved it!!!! Don’t know some people even compare it 2 BK or McD’s

Entered just as they opened and was greeted by a miserable looking cashier. Other then that the place was clean and fresh looking, and had a rack of freshly baked buns on one of the counters ready to be put to use. It gave the place that baked bread smell that you just simply cannot resist. Their burgers were good, loved the freshness of it all although the patty was slightly burned. Got a nice big portion of chips, which gave that fast food feel to it, a bit more spice or salt would of done it for me! Great meal to bring home to the family.

Junior has an American diner vibe which is really cool and different. It's a better choice than having macDs or steers. Good quality burgers, quick service and amazing chips we had seconds!

I ordered this on UberEATS, they're definitely a much less synthetic McDonald's. I definitely enjoyed my cheese burger as everything tasted fresh and their fries are crispy as well. It's a great fast food option I just wish I got to taste their donuts but they were sold out.

I've been looking forward to Junior for a few weeks and I wasn't disappointed, mostly. <br/><br/>I'm the biggest "American style burger" fan and I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in, it reminded me of a similar burger joint I'd visited in Los Angeles. <br/><br/>The menu is overwhelmingly simple, which is a good thing and the food came fairly quickly. The only issue is a big one; as good as it is, I'm not sure it's worth the price. <br/><br/>A must visit place, at least once.

Glorified Mc Donald's less plasticky & more tasty. <br/>Decent place to go when you feel hungry on a night out . I had a cheese burger without sauce and my boyfriend had his cheese burger with sauce ~ it actually tasted better without it, the sauce kind of masked the taste of the patty.

The doughnuts were great .... but they aren't doughnuts, just cakes in the shape of a doughnut..... tasted great but was disappointed .<br/>We got the Oreo flavor as well as Walnut

I've been here a few times and I've gotten the fried chicken burger on the last 2 occasions. <br/>Not the greatest fan of the feta coleslaw, but everything else is wonderful. <br/>Quaint vibe if you decide to eat there!

Value's really great, I'd give it a higher rating but the food isn't meant to be 5 star. It's meant to be like McDonalds without you hating yourself afterwards.

So impressed! A couple of us decided to stop here after a run as a well deserved treat, and we were glad we did. We ordered the regular burgers and shared fries and coleslaw, yum! The burger buns were fresh and airy, and the filling tasty and different to other fast food places, not sure if it was the junior sauce or what. The only criticism I have is the chips couldve been more crispy and lacked some seasoning.<br/>The service was good too and we got our food in under 10min. Love the packaging too.<br/>Will definitely return! To try their shakes too :)

Tried Junior for the first time today via UberEATS. Thoroughly enjoyed the burger. It's a great alternative to Macdonalds/steers and defs my go to junk food option when the burger craving hits. The fries were a dismal miss. Dry, they weren't salted and couldn't be saved by vinegar or sauce. Had a shake as well, didn't do much for me. So burgers yes, everything else, not so much

The milkshakes were very thick and tasted like melted ice cream. It was also very sweet. But everything seems to be reasonably priced. Would go back to try the food.

What great service and the food was fantastic! Oreo shake was so nice and thick like a good summer shake should be and the cheese burger was super good.

It's like in between a hudsons and a steers. Really nice spot, good view of lions head. Simple tasty burger, the chips aren't the greatest though.

This is basically In-N-Out on this side of the ocean. The menu is simple, very simple. Which means there is no room for error, and they deliver on quality!<br/><br/>Chips are made from proper potatoes, but they're still crispy and light. They also have two slaw options, mayo or vinaigrette, the latter is amazingly tangy and very refreshing between carb loaded bites. I'm not that much of a burger fan, but when I do indulge I like a smashed burger (not a thick patty) and junior comes to the party (or patty...) in that regard 😂. I finished off with a baked Oreo doughnut, which is very much like cake.<br/><br/>The ingredients are fresh and the service is good. A great place to grab fast food that still feels home made!

This is an experience. It's the place to go for a late night juicy burger. Fresh bun, pure beef and their milkshakes has fresh fruit in it, so technically it's healthy D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S

If you like McDonalds and like to pretend you are better than other people you will love Junior, it's a upper middle class McDonald's. Not a big fan but for a drunk person that burger will blow your mind!!

This has become my light night go to when I'm hungry after a few drinks. The veggie burger is really delicious and can be wrapped in lettuce for the gluten intolerant or carb conscious. Their baked doughnuts are also enjoyable.

So generally I'm not keen to rate takeouts, but this spot is super trendy! No one is in the mood to cook on Sundays, so we popped in to grab a burger and fries. It tasted like a cross between Burger King and Mc D's, with a chunkier patty. Overall, not too bad, just slightly pricey. But I think you are paying for the novelty, which on a rare occasion, is okay with me.

Cool quirky take on an 80's fast food joint. The burger was a bit disappointing and bland but the fries made up for it. As far as fast food goes it's a healthier alternative to McDonald's or Burger King but doesn't quite hit the spot when it comes to craving junk food.

Found myself looking for a decent burger and something new.. had seen Junior a few times on social media and thought I'd try it myself and was blowned away. Soft buns, caramelized onion, tasty patties, quality cheese, handmade fries and some Junior sauce only thoughts left was incredible.. can't wait to come back :)

Wow! Melt in your mouth burger at does not even need cheese to make it taste good!! yummy yummy! the service is friendly, fast and great. The owner/host/manager came to tell us how everything is super fresh and trust me you can taste the freshness. It just melts and its tasty and you want more. Not to wowed about the fries. But will defiantly return to sample the rest of the menu. I think its slightly pricey but its worth the freshness.

There are times late at night when im hungry and im often able to easily convince my husband to pop down to Junior to pick up a burger...it helps that theyre open late and we live a stones throw away. I wouldnt rate them way above macdonalds (dont hate...i enjoy macdonalds) but their burgers are alot more real meat like :) so for a fast food joint theyre pretty ok. Im not a fan of their fries though...i find them too oily. My husband loves them nut they're not for me.

Enjoy grabbing a quick cheese burger here, this is a lot better than your normal fast food joints. The staff is friendly and the service is quick and efficient. <br/><br/>I like the fact that the menu is simple to choose from. Onl four burger options, side s, shakes or drinks. I enjoy a simple cheese burger and it gets messy when you eat it, but a good messy. I had a burger with a beer. You don't get to am order a beer these days at other fast food joints, so that's a nice touch.

Fast food but with an actual personality. Junior would also be perfect right next to the beach as a burger 'n shake shack. <br/><br/>Stopped here with friends needing nourishment after a few drinks. The burgers may not compete with the likes of hudsons, Gibsons or Royale, but they're not meant to. Truly living up to gourmet fast food, basically a McDonald's burger with much higher quality ingredients and enhanced taste. Only problem I had was the cheese they used to cover my chips, tasted way too synthetic. Also they're quite overpriced, I spent somewhere around R130 for a peanut butter banana milkshake, cheese fries and double cheese burger. I could pay the same at any restaurant for a bigger version.

Fantastic takeaway style burgers! Cape Town has been lacking a place like Junior. The service lives up to fast food while the burger was more than what I was expecting from a fast food joint. The chips are good but the burgers are definitely what you come for. Sitting down was also great as we had a bar table by the window and could watch the comings and goings. My new one stop shop for a burger and a shake!

Popped into Junior before a big night out in Cape Town for some 'American inspired food'. JHB has BGR, which is almost the same - so was quite excited to check it out. <br/><br/>The staff were friendly and my food took less than 5 mins. Their lemonade is yummy and I has a cheese burger with cheesy fries which were fresh and good.<br/><br/>They also serve Citizen beer and donuts, and their spot is a quick in-and-out diner. I will be back!<br/><br/>

We are so sad to hear that so many people have had bad experiences at Junior! We had such a great experience! The burgers are American style so comparable to McDonalds in the sense that they have thin patties as opposed to fatter ones! However, the patties are 100% beef and the buns are made in house! We really like this style of burger and find their burgers very juicy and tasty! We also loved the milkshakes and the various flavours of doughnuts. We must admit their one downfall had to be their chips which just did not live up to the awesomeness of their burgers! However it is still early days and we expect great things from this place! <br/><br/>We recommend giving this place a try! Mainly for the burgers and the home made doughnuts!

I was super keen to try the new kid on Kloof neks hot spot! But I didn't leave all too impressed. The food didn't offer anything particularly new and it tasted just like McDonald's at an elevated price. Their junior sauce just seemed like mayo to me and their lemonade was too sweet for my taste buds. <br/><br/>The concept is cool and I'm glad their is a place that sells doughnuts close to where I live, but I'm in no rush to go back.

Look its nice. But super pricey. You paying for the experience more than the food. Maldon Macdonalds is better value for a similar taste. It's still cool though. Will cone back, just not in a rush.

As a self-confessed burger junkie, I was keen to try the latest burger place in CT, this one advertised as takeaway gourmet burgers. I wouldnt call it gourmet burgers (normal bread roll, limited options - basically with or without cheese) but its definitely a well-made burger. I loved the fries (fresh is my favourite) and it was even better with some cheese on. The coleslaw was probably the most gourmet thing on the menu- no mayo - and yummy.<br/>And if you leave without a donut, youre doing Junior wrong;)

Had a bit of break down when I saw chicken wasn't on the menu as I don't eat beef but the veg burger was absolutely delicious- it was fresh, tasty and very filling. Such a delicious and vibey place. Would definitely go again 😊

A new establishment that looks very similar to shake shack from the states and because of this I had to give it a try. To be honest I wouldn't do it again. It is fast food but I didn't expect it to be in the level of Mac Donald's. I expected better. Perhaps it needs time to come into its own as it is a new establishment. The cheese for the cheese fries could taste less like it came from a packet and the burgers flavones aren't spot on. For the price I would rather a pay a little extra and go somewhere else. Hopefully they iron out the kinks or they won't survive in Cape Town unless students keep them going.

Junior is the kind of eatery that hails a return to simplicity. The branding is minimal and striking. The food arrives wrapped in that corporate identity and feels like 'just enough' - it's a mouthful and I like it. The Double Trouble isn't a grotesque monument to fast food as you might expect but it sits on your tray and demands attention.<br/><br/>The decor makes me think it's a modern interpretation of the kitsch 80's styling and that's perfect.<br/><br/>The staff are friendly and the food is rad. Pull in. Chow down.

Always fair tomato give brand new places a little leeway and time to come into themselves. This is definitely what junior needs. I had the veg burger that was pretty good. Tasted kinda like a McDs burger but in all the right ways. The Orea doughnuts are pretty dreamy too. Think with some time this little burger joint could become a little fast food haven.

Opened by the owner of the ever so popular Royale Eatery, Junior is all about good fast food burgers set in a trendy American diner feel space. <br/><br/>Firstly, I adore their branding and the look of the restaurant! The fun packaging and attention to detail did not go unnoticed and made me so excited to open up my bag and devour my food. The restaurant took me back to my days of being obsessed with Grease, and I kind of felt like any second I'd look over my shoulder and see Danny Zuko and Sandy sharing a milkshake. <br/><br/>As for the food, it was tasty but some of it needs a bit of work. The burger was really delish with one of the freshest buns to date, but I couldn't help but think it was as good as McDonalds apart from knowing that it's well made and no funny business is going down in the kitchen. Maybe I've become so accustomed to "gourmet" burgers? Nevertheless, it was tasty and I'd definitely go back for another. <br/><br/>We also grabbed some cheesy fries and an Oreo doughnut. The cheese sauce was a bit clumpy on the chips and the doughnut could have been vanilla quite honestly - it really didn't have much flavour. <br/><br/>Overall though, speedy service and decent food. Personally, it probably won't become a regular for me but it's great for a quick bite to eat or simply cause you're in the mood for a no-fuss takeaway burger and chips.
