Having mucked about in this quarry as a little boy and coming back decades later to discover this stunning setting for a meal, is a memory to treasure. Definitely make an effort to go at night. The few complaints I noticed about poor service on here, the complainant's need to get a life. The restaurant was really busy, which to me tells you that a) The location is good and b) the food is going to be good. Both did not disappoint, infact as a seasoned, overweight, over eating traveller let me assure you the steaks will be in the top 5 steaks eaten on anybodies list. Waiters looked after us well and my only regret is the capacity of my stomach or I would have had 2 steaks. Make the effort to go here even if you have to drive passed 3 other Cattle Barons.
Excellent service, atmosphere was good,great food.. we enjoyed ourselves and we were loud shame but no one felt offended... great cattle baron .. Will surely come back... just add desert on your buffet menu ... Love it

difficult choose between a 4 or a 5. So forgive me for the 4. Been to a cattle baron in mosselbay, with this woody effect, then walking into this fine dine cattle baron, WOW i was so glad i didnt have slops on. The service of this place is by far the best i ever had in a restaurant. Specials well priced,,the rest of the menu a little bit steep. Taking out work mates, well this is the place to go. Really enjoyed the evening..
I have been here many times and I guess I would be considered a "regular" but realized that I have never left a review. I cannot boast enough about this place. I live upstairs and come down often and have ALWAYS received phenomenal service. The food is always world class and I absolutely love having a drink in the bar area which has my favourite bartender of all time, Nick (Nicholas), who is absolutely amazing. When I walk in I don't even need to order a drink, he knows what I'm going to order and brings it. The first time I came I placed my drink order and the next time I came I didn't need to order and it's been that way since. I was actually bummed out when Nick was on leave because I was hoping to see him. I could not recommend any place more than this establishment, it is my ultimate go to place and I always have a great time here. I feel I need to add that the manager, Chase, is AMAZING! Cattle Baron is always warm and cosy which is exactly what you want on a freezing winters night.
The fact that they do not charge corkage! A win in my books all the time.
Their steaks are melt in your mouth tender, the table veg and bread service just adds to the great value this restaurant chain offers.
I only wish they could offer a skinny fry instead of the thicker versions they usually have.
Other than that...always a great time...so great in fact that by the time I remembered to take photos, I was halfway through my steak.
I was really impressed with The cattle baron tygervalley waterfront from beginning to end: the door host was warm and friendly, our waitress was polite, efficient and knowledgeable, the food was excellent, and the upmarket environment added to a good evening. The restaurant is clearly popular and was extremely full the night we attended, be sure to book, and for good reason. The menu is extensive and you can choose anything from light grills to large 600g steaks, chicken and fish. My partner and I ordered the fillet roulade stuffed with feta and pepperdews, and the large prime rib, both delicious and highly recommended. For dessert, the home baked bar-one cheese cake is a winner. We will definitely be back to this little gem, highly recommended.
Checked in yesterday for a staff lunch. What an absolute treat! We were a large table of about 22 people. The service was quick and efficient and the food was out of this world.

Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront is one of my absolute favourite restaurants to visit. I've visited many times and it is a choice location for special occasions. Each time I've visited the service has been friendly, professional and fast. I have no words to describe the brilliance of the food. No dish I have been served has ever been a let-down. In fact - each dish has consistently amazed me. I would definitely recommend the carpaccio - it is the best I have tasted. Their wine and champagne offerings are certainly to be looked forward to. The atmosphere is elegant and refined. The restaurant certainly offers a full experience.
Ambience: romantic and elegant. Love the heaters outside for the winter season. Beautiful views as well. The only con, not enough seating in the pre-drinks/ bar area, although the staff quickly assisted by getting some seating arranged for us.
Food: well made, a constant for this restaurant. Also, great wine and drinks selection.
Staff: always friendly, courteous and pleasant.
This is definitely a favorite spot for us, especially as exceptional service, food and ambience is a constant.

Came here during the Cape Storm and received the expected warm welcome from staff. The atmosphere is comfortable and stylish, with a warm feeling and lighting that perfectly suits the mood of the venue. To drink I had my regular of a cappuccino, which is well priced and stylishly presented in a black cup that contrasts the golden foam. The flavour is strong and full flavoured, an almost perfect cappuccino.
For a main, I ordered the lamb loin chops. Bread is served to the table to snack on while waiting for your food. The main dish arrived and immediately had my mouth watering. Served on a nice large plate which is hot to the touch come 4 perfectly done lamb chops along with your side, I had the mash and lemon butter, and a bowl of sweet pumpkin and cream spinach and green beans. The mash was fluffy and tasty and the chops were perfectly done and very very tasty. I tried the meat with each of the sides and everything works.
The staff are well trained and give excellent service. Uniforms are very professional, being neat, tidy and clean. All staff have large smiles, which are mirrored by customers throughout the restaurant.
The experience was very very good and I will definitely be coming back. Brilliant restaurant.
