The best all round meal I’ve had this year. Penne pasta was world class and the cheese cake is to die for! Service was very friendly and helping. Very cozy with a unique vibe.
Great Breakfast and Fresh Juice!! Had the eggs Benedict with onion jam and mushrooms on the side. Lovely Ambience. Friendly staff and good service.

We had an excellent experience celebrating a friend's birthday here. The staff in the kitchen and waiting team made an extra special effort and went out of there way to create a memorable experience with great food. Will be back for sure. Thanks guys!
The Sidewalk cafe is a very cute cafe. It is idea for breakfast. It has a very relaxed vibe. The cafe has a lot of natural light which is really nice. It also has faith lights sort of draped all over. I ordered a bacon omelette and a Belgian not chocolate. The omelette sizing was perfect, the portions were not too big or too small. The Belgian hot chocolate wasn't very hot, but it was good nonetheless. The cafe has free wifi, that enjoyed a few people to use the cafe as a mini workstation. Some people came for business meetings and others just to eat. I found it very difficult to flag down my waitress as there are only about two for the whole cafe. I think they just get overwhelmed because there are quite a few people in the cafe at one time. Other than that, no complaints.

I've been here on various occasions over the last 5 years and have never had a bad experience. Whether for Sunday breakfast (when everyone in Cape Town has the same idea) or a coffee fueled business meeting this place ticks all the boxes. Service is usually quick and friendly, they have some long term staff who take their jobs seriously.
The decor is quirky (I believe they're related to Madame Zingara) and the vibe is relaxed and not noisy even when it gets very busy. Plenty of seating outside on the sidewalks and dogs are welcome too.
A good selection on the menu with interesting and delicious twists on the old breakfast classics. Great coffee too.
But seriously go for the view.

Had an excellent reunion breakfast with my sister at the sidewalk cafe! Such a pleasant vibe! And stunning little cafe! Loved it. Didn't want to leave. Had the three cheese and mushroom omelette! It was to die for!!
This tiny germ in Vredehoek is one of my favourite spots. I had the line fish which was absolute perfection and the pan fried fillet with summer veggies is to die for, its so tender and juicy. The service is great however the menu is pricy. Its all worth it at the end. The food is fresh and bursting with flavours. Breakfast at The Sidewalk Cafe is also a must do.
Sidewalk is definitely my favourite sweet indie cafe. The food isn't the cheapest, but it's always amazing - any restaurant with a Ravioli Of The Day is going to be magical (10/10 would recommend the Ravioli Of The Day), and the lemon soufflé cheesecake changed my life. The happy-hour special is great, the Pimm's cup is grand, even the jugs of water at the counter are beautiful and delicious. I've only had amazing service here, the waitstaff are bubbly and funny and really make you feel comfortable.
