Neat sports bar spot for lunch or dinner whilst watching sport and having a chat with friends. The food is generous and tasteful. The service is great and welcoming.

My neighborhood go to. I've had everything here from the pizza, to the calamari, to the schnitzel.

Everything is AMAZING.

BUT if you're a meat eater and feel like a spoil - get the ribs. I've tested many places in CT but nothing stands against Villa's ribs. So tender - literally falls off of the bone. Perfectly marinated. DELICIOUS.

Their pub lunch is a great deal and the portions are so decent.

Staff are warm, friendly and amazing.

A definitive must for any Vredehoek local.

**** ate here again like I do weekly. And just a add on to say THE BEST RIBS IN CAPE TOWN. Succulent. Tasty. Tender. PERFECT.

Food Guru Snapper

Great laid back restaurant offering delicious hearty meals and some Portuguese classics! I really enjoyed the pork eisbein, apparently it’s one of the most popular items on their menu. It takes a while to be prepared but totally worth the mouth watering wait! The waiters are on point and very knowledgeable with their recommendations. Come try this place out some time.

Interesting vibe, great service, and delicious pizza! Villa Portuguese is conveniently located - they have a strange set-up where the smokers sit inside and non-smokers sit between the door and the inside area. We are always impressed by the informative, friendly service here. My recommendation: order the Napoli pizza - it's delicious!

had a birthday party dinner at this place and it was absolutely brilliant!
Firstly I want to compliment the service and waitrons working there, they have
the most hart warming and friendliest service I have ever come across in the
CBD!

We
had the Prawns, Ribs and some of their starter dishes and it was very nice,
tasty and excellent for the price you pay.

I
would recommend anyone to go to this hidden Gem!!

Starters were delicious. Tentacles amazing, chicken livers outstanding. However, our mains were terrible. Cold food, over cooked meat, ribs weren't the greatest. Not sure I will be rushing back. Dissapointed!

We were extremely impressed with the service received from the staff all round we were well taken care of and the waitrons were very informative and friendly. We were a bit let down with the food, however I have to commend the manager for sorting it out professionally and fast. We ordered the massive 500g steak egg and chips and the 500g portion of prawns. The steak was great exactly what we expected however I did send my prawns back because they really were not fresh and there was more heads than tails. The second attempt was much better they brought out fresh butterflied prawns that were grilled how prawns should be. Over all I had a pleasant evening and I will be back again.

If you go out in the afternoon this place really has some food prices for really well made Portuguese food, the chicken wings wasn't the best but I just really like wings. I also like the bar, except for when it gets busy. Then some old man will tell you 6 times about the old days.

The Espatada was good but lacked that Portuguese buttery flavour. Trinchardo, Rump with egg was good but the sauce was pretty much the same for all the meat dishes. The prawns were not good - tasted of old oil. For dessert -good tartufo and chocolate brownie. The casata didn't have those glazed fruit bits so it just tasted like ice cream. Good service.

Great food
The food was absolutely phenomenal. Crispy chips, hearty vegetables, and probably the most tender half chicken known to man! The only downside was the background music. Slightly invasive for my taste.

If you like hot food, then this is an absolute must!

Living walking distance from this place couldn't have been better, we love making this our regular spot for a drinks, snacks and food. The wood fired pizza is absolutely amazing and the staff even more so. Would definitely recommend for tourists and locals!

If you have a dog and looking for great Portuguese food look no further. Staff super friendly. They bring a doggy blanket and water bowl and make you feel at home.
