Loved the food and atmosphere here. The service was just the right side of attentive and their eggs were cooked to perfection. The gluten free bread also does not taste gluten free, which is a win for me as I am offended at having to be gluten free! The loveliest thing was they served me a proper bowl of chilli when I asked for it to go with my scrambled eggs, it was very very spicy and delicious. I think it’s used by people working from home as I saw lots of people on their laptops working away, so I might do that a couple times a week if my kids are at school and don’t have extra curricular activities after. The tea is served in a cute little stone pot and they gave it to me with condensed milk when I asked, because sometimes for my second cup, I like a treat ☺️. My husband said his croissant was spectacular and the coffee was good too! It’s also next to a super cute book store so if you are working here, you could take a break there. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else they have.
Honestly, this place has the best coffee in Cape Town by far! The service is always extremely friendly and the smell of freshly baked bread and pastries in the air perfectly complements the warm and cozy atmosphere. And don't get me started on the food! Absolutely a hidden gem!
I have a #small addiction to Rainbow cakes and Vovo are my go to for my fix. At R52 you are getting a fairly large slice with vibrant colours and sprinkles. Its moist and delicious. They have other varieties of cakes available plus open for breakfast, lunch and tea and their food is yummy. They offer platters for special occasions too. The staff are friendly and professional are go out of their way to assist all customers 😀. I had the sad misfortune of Shelby the dog im looking after steal my piece of rainbow 🌈 cake off the counter when nipped to the shop quick 🙄😭. However was back today at the Steenberg branch for another- made sure was hidden away lol. Constantia branch are amazing too. There's a special of cake and a coffee available in the afternoons- can't recall price which is worth it xx
