Had dinner there last night. Food was lovely, portions quite big so be warned. We had ribs and chicken and it was a real treat. It was cooked to perfection with their Bourbon basting sauce. Their cocktail menu is interesting with a nice variety to choose from. They had live music that was not to overpowering. After our meal we sat and listen while having coffee and desserts. I can recommend Bourbon street. It is definately one of the places to visit when visiting Robertson. The only thing distracting is the large trucks driving pass on a regular basis.
Awesome food, good spot, fab music. Always love it there. Been the best place in Robertson to go for years
This restaurant was over my expectation..the food was great ..all meat was well cooked with sumptuous quantity.Wide variety menu.. and the service was excellent
Such an amazing place! We come here every time for a casual evening out. They have a great variety of meals and we have never been disappointed. Great service too.
Stopped at Bourbon Street whilst passing through Robertson. The food was really good and although our burgers took a while to get to us the staff was friendly and the food was worth the wait. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Robertson, I definitely recommend this place, friendly service and tasty food with a good vibe. Enjoy!
After receiving aweful service at Christina's @ Van Loveren we came across Bourbon Street. From the moment we walked in the waiters were all friendly. The food was delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely go there again when we in Robertson.
A very nice spot in the middle of town...RIGHT ON the pavement!!!! Nice place with good food and good service!!!! Nice beer selection as well, will definitely stop again!
After an impromptu decision for a drive we landed up in Robertson absolutely starving. Being a Monday afternoon the little country town was quiet and we didn't see many options in the main road. We opted for what seemed like a rough pub from the outside but was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable and warm interior.
What further surprised us was the great quality of the food. The menu is quite extensive and we found it a bit hard to decide if we should have a burger, a steak, a shank, or a.....the list goes on and on. But what we eventually settled on did not disappoint.
✅ Oysters fresh and beautiful
✅ Ostrich Carpaccio with home made ciabatta was perfect
✅ Grilled calamari in lemon butter was soft and tasty
✅ Fried chicken wings ....gorgeous
✅ Pulled pork ciabatta....comfort food happiness
✅ Hawaian burger...excellent
✅ Lamb shank perfect
✅ Lamb chops was overdone but quickly replaced with my rare option. After that it was perfect with the yummiest Caulimash.
So overall a lovely time had by all with top notch friendly service.
On a busy street, the red umbrella's seemed the most exiting and I was not disappointed. Moving away from my usual burger and craft beer combos, 3 pizzas were ordered and all 3 tatsted fantastic!! The service was friendly and the restaurant is super cool. There craft beer menu is huge and I had the awsome blonde ale.
We had dinner here on New Year's Eve and the tapa's food was really delicious! The selection was different to what we always usually see at tapa's restaurants in Cape Town, which was a welcome change.
Unfortunately our waiter wasn't that great but the manager on duty was on top of things and eager to make sure we enjoyed our evening.
We will definitely be back during our next visit to Robertson.
Stopped here for late afternoon lunch after wine lands driving day.
We had ribs and eisbein, and were pleasantly surprised with quality and taste of food. Pricing very reasonable as well at just over R300.00 for main meals and drinks for two persons.
Will be back to try the slow roasted lamb neck, marrow bones and key-lime pie.
First time being there, I loved the vibe, set up for the venue, the food was good, and the cocktails as well. The fire in the middle makes the place. I'm definitely going back
We love going to Bourbon Street
The food is really good, big portions, so many options to choose from. They have a massive menu. Love the cocktails as well. They have a warm fire place for cold winter nights
Top quality food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. I will most definitely recommend this establishment. Keep up the great work 👍
Kudos to Elvis for the best service twice in a row.
I have always wanted to try out this place. Food was brilliant. Service great and friendly staff. We will DEFINITELY be back. Worth a stop.
What a great evening we had at Bourbon Street! Fantastic food, huge portions, friendly service and well priced. Will definitely be visiting again when I’m back in Robertson.
PS - the Pina Colada is very syrupy and the margarita was super strong we had to mix it with a red bull. But the Latin Lover cocktail was great!
Service and food was excellent, portions are so huge! Definitely will make this an event when passing through again.
Let me say firstly, the food... holy wow... incredible... the service... not so much.
Fistly, when you open a restaurant at 11am, your appliances should already be up and running and bathrooms and floors cleaned.
We arrived at 11:15 on a Sunday and ordered coffee, but was told the coffee machine has not been started up yet and had to wait. We could not even order tea as this was also used as an excuse. I mean really. Cannot serve tea due to coffee machine not ready. How about a kettle?
Then when we finally got our coffee 30 minutes later, we had to move downstairs (the people smoking upstairs was too much), and thats when they were cleaning the bathrooms and floors (over an hour after opening) with an intense smelling detergent, that was soo strong one of our party had to leave as she has asthma and it affected her. Cleaning should be done before a shop opens.
Other than that... food wise... some of the best we have ever had...
An amazing Sunday lunch that lasted more than 5 hours!! 😋 The Starters were to die for!!! We would recommend the fresh oysters, the Mussel Pot and the Chicken Livers! We had such a nice time!
They have an extensive list of awesome cocktails and shooters! The main course was amazing! From seafood, pizzas to amazing grills and even gourmet dishes like lamb neck! We loved our time at Bourbon Street and can't wait to go back.
From the moment you walk into the restaurant you are made to feel welcome. We ordered a pizza and a wrap. The pizza was succulent with lots of topping and base with a perfect texture. The accompanying garlic, chilli, and parmesan cheese was supplied in abundance. The beef wrap was tasty and served with a horse radish sauce that completed the flavours. The chips were crunchy on the exterior and soft inside. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
