Review Bourbon Street - Robertson

Dereachia Miller
First time being there, I loved the vibe, set up for the venue, the food was good, and the cocktails as well. The fire in the middle makes the place. I'm definitely going back

We love going to Bourbon Street The food is really good, big portions, so many options to choose from. They have a massive menu. Love the cocktails as well. They have a warm fire place for cold winter nights

I have always wanted to try out this place. Food was brilliant. Service great and friendly staff. We will DEFINITELY be back. Worth a stop.

What a great evening we had at Bourbon Street! Fantastic food, huge portions, friendly service and well priced. Will definitely be visiting again when I’m back in Robertson. PS - the Pina Colada is very syrupy and the margarita was super strong we had to mix it with a red bull. But the Latin Lover cocktail was great!

Service and food was excellent, portions are so huge! Definitely will make this an event when passing through again.

Let me say firstly, the food... holy wow... incredible... the service... not so much. Fistly, when you open a restaurant at 11am, your appliances should already be up and running and bathrooms and floors cleaned. We arrived at 11:15 on a Sunday and ordered coffee, but was told the coffee machine has not been started up yet and had to wait. We could not even order tea as this was also used as an excuse. I mean really. Cannot serve tea due to coffee machine not ready. How about a kettle? Then when we finally got our coffee 30 minutes later, we had to move downstairs (the people smoking upstairs was too much), and thats when they were cleaning the bathrooms and floors (over an hour after opening) with an intense smelling detergent, that was soo strong one of our party had to leave as she has asthma and it affected her. Cleaning should be done before a shop opens. Other than that... food wise... some of the best we have ever had...

An amazing Sunday lunch that lasted more than 5 hours!! πŸ˜‹ The Starters were to die for!!! We would recommend the fresh oysters, the Mussel Pot and the Chicken Livers! We had such a nice time! They have an extensive list of awesome cocktails and shooters! The main course was amazing! From seafood, pizzas to amazing grills and even gourmet dishes like lamb neck! We loved our time at Bourbon Street and can't wait to go back.

From the moment you walk into the restaurant you are made to feel welcome. We ordered a pizza and a wrap. The pizza was succulent with lots of topping and base with a perfect texture. The accompanying garlic, chilli, and parmesan cheese was supplied in abundance. The beef wrap was tasty and served with a horse radish sauce that completed the flavours. The chips were crunchy on the exterior and soft inside. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

Had the best sea food pizza ever. I have eaten pizza in many international countries. Man, I have never had so much seafood on a pizza. The cheese was crazy lotzzzz. The beers are super cold. We'll done. Deon and Lizzy.

Fantastic place to eat and drink. Food is awesome and service is good. Helpings are very generous especially the "Moerse" burger. Well worth the visit. Lovely to sit outside on the pavement, in the sun, and watch the world go past.

We had a wonderful experience. This was possibly the best eisbein I've eaten and it was a low carb version with cauliflower rice. Generous portions. Great atmosphere, excellent service. We'll definitely return!

This restaurant deserves the 5 stars. Food is fantastic - friendly staff - simple and clean aesthetics and last but not least the bathrooms are clean beautifully done. Going there for lunch or dinner - you won't regret making the effort to drive to Robertson or if you are driving through make it a point to stop and give them a try. You won't regret it

Amazing food, amazing vibe and an exquisite Menu of Gourmet meals and Craft beers. What i personally admired the most was the interior and the setup of the restaurant. There were enough space to work with, well put out tables and swiftly service at the liquor bar. Well done Bourbon!

Had dinner there last night. Food was lovely, portions quite big so be warned. We had ribs and chicken and it was a real treat. It was cooked to perfection with their Bourbon basting sauce. Their cocktail menu is interesting with a nice variety to choose from. They had live music that was not to overpowering. After our meal we sat and listen while having coffee and desserts. I can recommend Bourbon street. It is definately one of the places to visit when visiting Robertson. The only thing distracting is the large trucks driving pass on a regular basis.

Friendly waiters but service is very poor. Took ages for our lamb shank, Eisbein and burger, then can you believe it, after waiting ages again for for the baked cheese cake, the excuse the waitress gave that it looked so nice one of the other waiters ate it? WTF??? Sadly spending almost R700 wasn't a "must come back" experience.

Awesome food, good spot, fab music. Always love it there. Been the best place in Robertson to go for years

Absoluut fantasties. Pryse baie goed en kos van die beste. So baie om van te kies. Atmosfeer ook tops. Daar kan mens enige tyd gaan. Sal nie jou tyd mors nie. Ons ry van die Kaap om daar te eet

Best cocktails in town and the food is just as great and def value for money. Friendly waiters and just a laid back vibe - must visit when in Robertson.
Janey van Deventer
Amazing food. Unfortunately we had to wait a bit too long for our meal. But I loved the vibe, and will definitely be back.
Geraldine Bosch
Awesome food and EXCELLENT service. The presentation of the food was really 5 star and the attention to detail in the restaurant was surprising for such a small town. I will definitely eat there again, without a doubt

Horrible entertainment on 6/8/2017 food was amazing but the guy trying to sing made my food taste horrible Just play music in the background and let ppl enjoy each other's company and the food Hope u did not pay that drunk performer

Elvis is the best waiter. Delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere made a bride-to-be and her 4 bridesmaids very happy. Thank you.
PatandRos King
Such an excellent atmosphere. The food is second to none. Had excellent waiter service on previous visits, however, this time the service was a bit slow because it was very busy. Will definitely be back. The singer was, as always, very good!!!

Fantastic food, fantastic service, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Super impressed. This is truly a restaurant who’s quality and service doesn’t drop even when every seat is packed. Well done!

This was our first time at Bourbon Street and we'll definitely go back. Food was EXCELLENT and our waitress (Anneline) very attentive. We are from Cape Town and visit restaurants regularly. Bourbon Street really impressed us and it's probably one of the best restaurants that we've been to.
Bianca Lewis
Food was amazing and the service was great! Would definitely go back and would recommend everyone to give it a try when in the area

Stopped at Bourbon Street whilst passing through Robertson. The food was really good and although our burgers took a while to get to us the staff was friendly and the food was worth the wait. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Robertson, I definitely recommend this place, friendly service and tasty food with a good vibe. Enjoy!
Food took over an hour to come and the restaurant wasn't even busy, chilli poppers took 5min however. Not one apology from any of the staff, they acted like it didn't even happen. How long does it even take to cook a chicken snitzel? They clearly just completely forgot about it. Won't be back, ever. It wasn't even good, mushroom sauce with the snitzel was horrible, tasted like yogurt, chilli poppers were far too hot, hadn't been deseeded properly.
Carisa Carstens
Terrible service! We waited for more than an hour for our food. Although the meals were of good quality, the service and whole experience was awful. Short-staffed and unpleasant service. Would not go back again.

After receiving aweful service at Christina's @ Van Loveren we came across Bourbon Street. From the moment we walked in the waiters were all friendly. The food was delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely go there again when we in Robertson.

Service was good, that is all that was good.
The most disgusting meal I have had in a long time. My husband and I both had a burger. Really was not good at all. Their menu is far too big to be able to do everything well. I should have taken this as a warning sign and left.

A very nice spot in the middle of town...RIGHT ON the pavement!!!! Nice place with good food and good service!!!! Nice beer selection as well, will definitely stop again!

After an impromptu decision for a drive we landed up in Robertson absolutely starving. Being a Monday afternoon the little country town was quiet and we didn't see many options in the main road. We opted for what seemed like a rough pub from the outside but was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable and warm interior.

What further surprised us was the great quality of the food. The menu is quite extensive and we found it a bit hard to decide if we should have a burger, a steak, a shank, or a.....the list goes on and on. But what we eventually settled on did not disappoint.

βœ… Oysters fresh and beautiful
βœ… Ostrich Carpaccio with home made ciabatta was perfect
βœ… Grilled calamari in lemon butter was soft and tasty
βœ… Fried chicken wings ....gorgeous
βœ… Pulled pork ciabatta....comfort food happiness
βœ… Hawaian burger...excellent
βœ… Lamb shank perfect
βœ… Lamb chops was overdone but quickly replaced with my rare option. After that it was perfect with the yummiest Caulimash.

So overall a lovely time had by all with top notch friendly service.
On a busy street, the red umbrella's seemed the most exiting and I was not disappointed. Moving away from my usual burger and craft beer combos, 3 pizzas were ordered and all 3 tatsted fantastic!! The service was friendly and the restaurant is super cool. There craft beer menu is huge and I had the awsome blonde ale.

We had dinner here on New Year's Eve and the tapa's food was really delicious! The selection was different to what we always usually see at tapa's restaurants in Cape Town, which was a welcome change.

Unfortunately our waiter wasn't that great but the manager on duty was on top of things and eager to make sure we enjoyed our evening.

We will definitely be back during our next visit to Robertson.

Stopped here for late afternoon lunch after wine lands driving day.
We had ribs and eisbein, and were pleasantly surprised with quality and taste of food. Pricing very reasonable as well at just over R300.00 for main meals and drinks for two persons.
Will be back to try the slow roasted lamb neck, marrow bones and key-lime pie.

Really good burgers. Laid back, not the best service but not a bad experience. Good for a casual meal with friends. The pizzas looked really tasty and the coffee is not bad either.

Came for post wine festival supper, and it was pretty awesome! Ribs that fell off the bone, deep fried calamari that was perfectly cripsy. And a steak that was absolutely delicious! Their veg was quite lovely also. Never knew spinach could taste that good 😊 There was also live entertainment that had us singing along the entire time. And the service was excellent, very attentive! This is surely the best restaurant in Robertson 😊

One of our regular stops when we are in Robertson and we have never had a bad moment. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is stunning. The food portions is large and the price is reasonable. The staff is friendly.
It became very apparent that this is a popular restaurant amongst the locals in Robertson. We decided to give this place a try and see what the buzz is all about.

This place has a great vibe and the menu is quite extensive. The restaurant is packed and is amazing to see how attentive the waiters are.

I opted for a chicken parmesan banting option. The chicken was coated in coconut flour, served with a cheese sauce and accompanied with a cauliflower mash and crunchy salad. The chicken was still juicy and had bags of flavour. The food portions are quite huge!

This is not a fine dining restaurant but a great place serving hearty meals that will leave you satisfied and full. Booking is essential.
2 nights in a row with family for dinner during our stay in Robertson. Delicious meals at reasonable prices. The waiters know the menu and are able to give patrons guidelines on what to order. Service is really great with friendly waiters but food does take a while to get out - the average waiting time is 45 to 60 minutes or longer if they are very busy which they are most times. Make a booking to avoid disappointment. Great dishes lamb neck, eisbein, peri peri chicken livers, beef burgers and pulled pork burger , snails, calamari. Desert - peanut butter cup pie, cheese cake. Pub vibe with nice music. Average spend was about R680- for 2 course meal for 5 adults.

I was told that this place is very popular with the locals and I can see. This place has a awesome chilled vibe. Their menu is vast, I'd say a little too vast but if it caters for everyone and is done well then I don't have a problem. I had the pulled pork burger and it was very tasty on a fresh roll. We also had the Banting chicken stuffed broccoli and bacon and it was tasty. It's a shame it's closed Sunday's for dinner, so I'm going to get a take away from their. Service is friendly and accommodating. Well worth the visit.

Walked in was greeted with smiles and a nice friendly waiter. The menu was put together well. Wasn't a difficult task to choose mu first drink as i would say is probably the best beer ive ever had in my life so far. Kwak is the perfect drink if you dont want to try the local wines and spirits. The food was great finished my pizza and sushi. Just typing about it now sends cravings for the food again. Good eating !!!!!!!

After a long drive from Stellenbosch, my flatmate and i stopped here for a starter before we have our next stop.
It was the best idea ever, literally the best chicken livers and snails we have ever had and just having devil's peak lager with it, complemented everything. The vibe is amazing and the service as well, very friendly people.
I would recommend this place to all travelers driving through Robertson. FYI this is coming from culinary students !

Atmosphere is good. Waiters are average. At the " moerse burger". It was quite a surprise. Yes it is the biggest burger ever. Taste is amazing as well. The bun is hime made which adds to the quality. A happy experience
