A really enjoyable Golf experience and lots to do. Course is in excellent condition for end of winter season. Nice and relaxing. Highly recommended. Mgmt can look at clearer hole number markings. Perhaps large numbers on bins...

I had an amazing experience playing the 12 course at Kimiad Golf Course. The wildlife and beautiful plants surrounding the course add to the experience, and it's lovely to watch the buck, ducks, and monkeys running around in a safe space. The staff are great and the course is well-maintained. It's a perfect spot to relax and feel like you're out of the city without actually leaving. The location is convenient too, surrounded by many restaurants and other businesses like the Koi Fishery. Whether you're a serious golfer or just looking for a fun day out, Kimiad Golf Course is definitely worth checking out.

Well kept golf course. ⛳ Tranquil, many trees, a calm environment. Enjoyed a very inexpensive lunch. Order steak, egg, chips from starter menu. Simple food but well prepared, tasty.

Amazing little golf course and driving range tucked away in the residential area of Pretoria East. They offer a 12 hole executive course and a 6 hole par 3 course. You can also play them combined for a 18 hole experience! The driving range is just as nice. Bring your kids while you play or just come and have a picnic or walk about the place. Awesome place for bird watching aswell. I would definitely recommend it!

Visit Kimiad for an experience of nature and clean air. The greens are well maintained and clean. There's plenty of monkeys (will make you feel like you're at the coast), and they're so cute. Blended into the landscape is also a variety of bucks, birds, and... beautiful settings in a variety of restaurants. Rosewood, Forè, Boerkombuis, die Bos and Viking Pit. Most are licensed to sell liquor, and there's plenty of grass for kids to play. Viking Pit is a new and exciting brand that offers the most delicious burgers you've ever eaten, and it supplies the coffee shop too. It's definitely a place to have a scrumptious breakfast, business meeting , or join for sundowners. The skies and ambiance are out of this world. If you want peace of mind, get away to think, want some quiet, and listen to the wind rustling through leaves ... this is your place to be. Oh ... plenty free parking just in front of the nursery at Viking Pit or the coffee shop, unless you venture through the boom gate to. Rosewood Terrace, or the private diners at the other restaurants at Kimiad.

We’ve been here two or three times. Although I’m really no good in golf, it is a good course and very reasonably priced. There is a lot of shade which is good if you want to play mid-day. They also have a restaurant on the premises that serves some good food – we had pizzas.

Course gets played a lot. The greens aren't always the truest, but great to get the eye in for the longer courses. Can definitely be played socially, with 2 restaurants on site. Very affordable, and no need to book a round. Quick 2 hour rounds can be had, with not much effort. Personally i enjoy the challenge of this course as often as I can. R90 for six holes in the week being my favorite.

Lost 7 golf balls, had to wait for some bucks to pass by, great fun.

Was an absolute pleasure to go for a walk at Kimiad. The premises are very clean and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning there.

Always enjoy playing a few holes here. We have played a 12 and a 6, extremely well priced, and a very nice course (coming from an amateur). There are a few nice streams and ponds, no bunkers, and you play mostly with your irons, bring your putting game and you'll do well. Apart from the driving range and putting/chipping practice area, there are a few nice restaurants too with great food and good service. The area is well kept, very green with beautiful trees and some wildlife too, we will definitely be coming back here more frequently!

If eating your lunch or dinner whilst sitting next to the golf course under a large tree sounds good to you, then this is a winner. <br/><br/>The service is always excellent, the food good and the atmosphere super relaxed.

We decided to meet friends at this venue as it is in plesant surroundings.  What we found is a run down, unclean, weary establishment.  The service is slow and very unprofessional.  I ordered an R80 haloumi starter as I was a little peckish and what was brought to the table was a small pile of rocket topped with 5 thin strips of haloumi and a sweet chilli sauce that was old and dried out and had no flavour at all.  The owner was not there and I asked the waiter to call the manager.  He did not come untill we asked again.  He begrugingly agreed that the starter served was not worth any where near R80 and allowed a R20 discount.  Still not worth it at all.  The kitchen should not have served such a feable dish.  The only consolation was the two for one offer on beer and wine and the venue. The toilet did not have toilet paper, were scruffy unclean and no hand soap or anything to dry ones hands with.   It would be such a nice venue for a well run, clean and efficiently run establishment,

The service was shocking to say the least.  Very slow.  My husband had a T-Bone steak which was acceptable but overpriced and I had a Pizza which was probably the worst Pizza I have ever had.  Al you could taste was Mozzarella.  They put so little of the ham on you could not taste it and I asked for Feta which was not added and when I asked for extra Feta on the side I was told that the kitchen refused.  Absolutely terrible and unpleasant.  The setting is lovely it is a pity they spoil it with bad service and poor food.

The food is always tasty.however this time round the edges of our pizza where over cooked.when we called the manager,Damian he's response was less than professional telling us that there is nothing wrong with the burnt edges.Very disappointed is the customer care and the manager for his righteous attitude towards customers.

Great pizzas, great location (spacious and beautiful) ... Drinks specials make this place even more worth it... Such a shame the service is terrible... Definitely dissapointed, I would be here alot more if not for the bad service.

I can honestly not say a lot about the food (only had starters) as I was so taken a back by the whole setup that I did not pay a lot of attention. Went for dinner and thought they were closing as all chairs were stacked on tables and no music was playing while a lady was cleaning. But they were not busy closing and quickly unstacked two chairs. Atmosphere was evidently not great so only had starters and left for another restaurant. Went back at another time on another day - and again the same story with the stacked chairs.... not very inviting.

Firstly, we book a table the previous evening for 17:30 the next evening (Friday). Once we arrive there was no table booked. The manager was incredibly rude claiming that the booking was made for 12:30 when it was clearly written 17:30 in their reservation book, to his reply "Well, that's your problem." Eventually we waited 15 minutes for them to make a table. We waited another 10 minutes to find more chairs. We waited an additional 30 minutes for our table drinks to which a friend eventually fetched and brought our drinks himself, twice. The savanna drinks were warm. When it came to ordering food for 4 hungry men, it was advised that we take their R350 platter - it would feed them all sufficiently. When it arrived, it was cold, it didn't have the chicken wings as stipulated and not much on the platter worth the price, some cheese, cold ham and lots of lettuce. The manager, Damian, was incredibly rude and said that the waitress would have to take the R350 off at her own cost, as we were sending the platter back, to which we disagreed. I cannot believe the attitude received from BOTH the owner and the manager. The owner was VERY defensive and said, and I quote "Don't ever come back here again." What a horrible experience.

Good food - pizza/pasta - but service is shocking!Waiters are inattentive and slow. Management is absent. Restaurant is dirty. Great venue though.

Great location with lots of potential, but the venue requires some serious TLC to improve it.  The lady's rest room left much to be desired, with no soap or towels and the single toilet blocked.  The children's food was delivered to the wrong table and accepted at that table; our main table food arrived at varying times, meals up to 40 minutes apart; and the pizzas delivered were not the ones ordered!  These problems can be resolved by proper management procedures and the use of table numbers!The children's pizzas were inedibly cheesy, with no real taste or look of a hawaiian pizza.  The Thai pizza was far too oily, some prawns were overcooked, some cooked well and some raw!  The seasoning of the pizzas was heavy handed, clumping patches of garlic into the occasional mouthful.We had to continuously request that cutlery and serviettes be brought to the tables, after the food had eventually arrived.  The manager stated that most staff were new to the job after a mass exodus of staff recently.  The waiters seemed to lack training for their roles.Such a pity, but attention from the owner could quickly make this venue a sought after establishment, as the menu also shows potential.

I'll start by saying they have absolutely terrific food, but that's where the good news ends.<br/><br/>I went there last night and this afternoon and just sat and observed:<br/>Terrible wait staff. Unfriendly and unwilling to serve. It seems more like a hangout for the servers, who sit around talking to each other loudly and who are all on their phones constantly. Lack of uniforms adds to the general sloppy appearance of the establishment.<br/><br/>Bar is slow. We waited, on average, 20 minutes for nonalcoholic drinks.<br/><br/>Venue is dirty and unkempt. I tried to open a drape when we sat inside last night and the curtain rod nearly fell on my head. Tables and chairs are just shoved into corners with dust and grime everywhere.<br/><br/>What is especially unfortunate is the fact that hawkers and peddlers pass by tables frequently and seem to be allowed to disrupt patrons' merriment. It's very uncomfortable and unnecessary.<br/><br/>This place has all the potential to make for a superb dining experience, but ultimately leaves one with a sour after taste. It's a great shame since, I say again, the pizzas are amazing.

A really nice venue at Kimiad golf course. Under some trees watching the golf course. <br/><br/>We had some pizza that was really well prepared and very tasty. <br/><br/>The service was average. Not too slow... But have experienced worse....<br/><br/>The venue seems to be a bit run down and can use some TLC.....

We tried O Sole Mio at Kimiad Golf course for breakfast and were greeted with very slow service. The cappucino machine was broken and we ordered a normal coffee and milo and it took about 15min for the waiter to bring filter coffee in a cup that wasn't washed properly, still showing some leftover lipstick, and the saucer already catching the spilt coffee on arrival, and only then could the waiter tell me that they could not make milo either. I then ordered rooibos tee which did not arrive. We paid for the dirty cup of coffee and left without breakfast.

Very nice location to have lunch after a round on the golf course! Relaxing atmosphere. Pizza was good, we took one to share. Service is disappointing. We had to wait quite some time and it's hard to get their attention.

A great restaurant wirh a great vibe. The food were excellent! Will definately be returning. I had a shrimp and chicken pizza wich was very good, and the staff were very attentitive.

Fantastic outdoor venue. Location is spot on for an outdoor summer's day vibe. <br/><br/>The restaurant overlooks the driving range and is very green. <br/><br/>The food is risky. We ordered the kimiad pizza with avo on the side. I immediately sent the avo back as they should have been embarrassed putting black off avo in front of a customer. The meat on the pizza was bleak and we didnt trust that it was fresh. Frankly it could be a food poisoning risk. <br/><br/>The service is average, not terrible, but there are definite gaps where you need to look for a waiter. <br/><br/>Between 14:00 - 18:00 there's a buy one get one free offer on alcohol. Unfortunately not on any non-alcohol beverages. <br/><br/>In summary, a great outdoor green place with a beautiful view, dont trust the food, but enjoy for a lazy, cocktail afternoon.

We popped in for a quick lunch. Pretty setting and the service was good. I had kingklip which was really yum and my husband had a burger - also yummy. There is a bit of a bee issue though which was a pain

Great setting( under the trees, facing the Golf Course),<br/>Ok food(mostly)<br/>Expect the worse service possible: 8 waiters, the assistant manager( in pink shirt) & manager( in black shirt) are all SITTING/leaning on the stairs. You can discreetly wave, call,try to get anyone's attention; without any success.Only way to get their attention is to get UP AND ASK FOR ASSISTANCE<br/>First drink order took 25 min.<br/>Starters another 30 min.<br/>Mains: an hour( wrong order arrived)<br/>Cold pizza's( most likely because the waiters are too busy on their mobiles to collect food from the kitchen)<br/>45min to get the bill.<br/>The waitress was VERY surprised that there was no tip.<br/>We won't be back.<br/>Ever.<br/>Ever again

Great pizza and very accommodating (took my own gluten free pasta which they cooked for me) Friendly staff, excellent service. Great atmosphere, and Fridays are happy hour on specials and certain drinks!

Friday afternoon delight in summer. You sit under the big trees, enjoying pizza with a really thin base. I had a Regina. A slight sprinkle of oregano-on the pizza-balanced out the bland taste of ham and mushroom. Great ambiance-a lot of laughter-especially when meeting friends after a tough week of work and no play. A summer must!

Love how peaceful is to sit under the tree's and watch people.The food is really great! Our waiter was super friendly and helpful which added to the experience.My pasta Carbonara was delicious🌟
