If you’re a student in Pretoria or just a local, you’ve heard of Eastwoods and their cocktail specials. This place is off the chain! The atmosphere is crazy fun during weekends especially and on days with live sport. Have a walk around and check out the effort done outside in terms of decorations and enjoy the company of people you love to spend the most time (and get responsibly drunk) with.
This is a sports bar where they run a great deal on cocktails and they have some nice pizzas and grills. Obviously it isn’t the place for any occasion but f you’re in the mood for cocktails and beers, it does well.
What an amazing experience! I love the vibe and the atmosphere. It's very different, one would never think it's so different when you walk by outside. The vintage VWs outside used as table setup was an amazing idea. It's refreshing and one would forget they are in pretoria. I had pizza, it was fairly okay, not the best I've had.
Love it! Very relaxed vibe. Suitable for singles, dates and groups. The food is great; the meat was well cooked and they're portions and presentation look just as good as they do in the pictures. S/O to Felix, he was an amazing waiter for Gabaiphiwe Makgale and I.
Very impressive.. Had lunch with a friend just last weekend and we both loved it. We loved everything about the place from the setting to food and drinks. Definetly going back soon
Woah! Now this is a place I really underestimated outside looking in as I passed all the years I was in varsity.
I finally went to have a drink with a business client and I must say it blew me away, it's like a luxury meets pub meets new skool vibe with over three seating areas from the bar stool, to the street facing deck to the lounge area in the back
I didn't have a meal but I thoroughly enjoyed my No 3 Fransen Street Creamy Ale (the best beer ever man THEE VERY BEST) and the service at the bar was warm and welcoming however the I was disappointed when the beer ran out :(
I must say I really appreciated the manager exchanging my beer when a fly flew into it with an Irish Ale by the same beer brand.
Definitely need to return for the food to update my review!
Eastwoods is your typical pub.. if you like burgers steaks and a diner experience this is it.. they have nice from-the-grill specials and their cocktail menu is YUMMEEEEEEE!!! 1litre cocktails and also very nice wine specials. Will go there again!
I loved this place the minute I walked. That vibe was so cool. We then found out cocktails were half price till 20:00 and that just made me so happy. They had such a great selection on cocktails. So many options to choose from. The cocktails were sweet just the way I like them. The food was also very good. I had the 500g pork ribs and they were so delicious. They were a lot and I couldn't finish them. But really impressed by this place. Definitely coming back again
From a non biased view as a chef working in the same industry. The service was decent, the waitress was friendly and worked hard. My steak was well priced and well cooked. However I had to ask my waitress if they tend to over cook the steaks. She said yes and that's why I ordered mine rare. So I had a perfect medium rare but everyone else's steaks were over cooked. Thanks Eastwood for a wicked steak.
One of the best Sirloin steaks you will ever eat. Great atmosphere, wonderful waiting staff and at affordable prices. Eastwoods is definitely a must see.
It is always a good time to go to Eastwoods to chill and unwind. The cocktails are a bit on the pricier side. A tip would be to wait till 16h00 for the specials. The atmosphere is nice, great for pictures. It's a huge space, and each section has a different feel to it. The aesthetics are brilliant. One thing I didn't like, though, was the number of flies we had once the food came. And the menu is so limited, would have loved for more variety. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.
No one at the entrance for welcoming. Menu was such a turn off because most of the items were not on the menu which was very disappointing. They must just remove the items that are not available. The food was very blend. Super boring. Only 1 starch served with your stew, no veggies, had to order aside. Drinks were amazing. Dessert was not bad, malva was a bit stale but custard was amazing. All in all I could rate this place 3 out of 5. Not forgetting their hubbly price, it is way too much no ways. Looking at the way things were, many people couldn’t order due to the crazy price.

This place is amazing, very clean aswell. Great atmosphere and it's got a vibe, great music, and the service from the waiters are superb. Though it was quite difficult finding a seat but hey, who wouldn't want to be there for some good vibes and cold beers. My only disappoint was the ladies toilets, only 1 toilet was working we had to wait a long que.
Beautiful place to chill out or host your people. With nice food and good music to dance to, if you are majaivava 😜. The service is also great. I even like the fact that when it's your birthday, you get a little something 🍾 from them
I loooove what they've done to the place. Great improvement between 2017 to 2023. It's grown into a proper lounge. Oh yes! I also like that they have an option of hot beverages, which are usually not part of the choices at most lounges. The fire place! The music volume! The sectioning of the types of vibes. Wow.👌. No longer one size fits all, because it doesn't. They understood the assignment.
Very nice bar and restaurant to chill enjoy a decent meal with wine to enjoy.
An energetic and fun spot with plenty of TVs tuned into the sports channels, and a variety of social spaces with a terrace, bars, cosy relaxation area and dining rooms. Expect plenty of people, all busy enjoying themselves. The food is basic but enjoyable. This is a great place to watch football or rugby. It will usually be packed on Matchday at Loftus Versfeld stadium, which is just over the road.
Woooow the place is breathtaking 👌💯my last visit was 2019 but yesterday I was shocked the face lift was wooooooooow 💯❤️
A nice place to relax with your friends. Their food is nice. Though some waiters complain about the amount of gratitude you offer them.
