My husband and I have spent the last week honeymooning in Plettenberg Bay and we drove past the Old Nick Village and noticed Roost. We read a few bad reviews, but decided to try them for breakfast this morning and those reviews were completely incorrect. It was a top-notch experience, with fast service and great food. We spent 35 minutes here from start to finish - cappuccinos arrived within minutes of ordering them, likewise with our sandwiches and orange juices. We'll be back for breakfast tomorrow!
Loved the breakfast so much, we went back twice! The one great thing about this place is the delicious bakes displayed which makes it irresistible not to buy. Service was great with helpful and friendly staff. Thanks for the great experience!

I loved this cosy bakery, come café, for a divine weekend lunch. The toasted sandwiches are huge and very reasonably priced. The potatoe fries, crispy outside, creamy inside, mmmmmm! Sounds like a love story, and it was! Very filling, but oh my goodness absolutely delicious. To drink, I had a homemade gingerbeer, totally authentic (like grandma made). Even if I just drive through Plett again, I'm stopping here.
We enjoy going here when in Plett for breakfast. Enjoy it, presentable and tastes great. Fresh bread and good coffee. Always enjoyable.
My wife and I had a great lunch at Roost. Easily the quickest amount of time between ordering our food and having it on our table. My chicken and bacon toastie had a great combination of flavors, to also include cheese and pesto. My wife’s hungry hippie bowl was also tasty, and had a variety of flavors and textures. My gin and tonic was also nice. We both recommend this place for lunch if you are at Old Nick.

I’ve had disappointing service, slow waiters and one or two not so delicious items, but despite all of that, I love them!
All their breads are freshly baked and made with sour dough! Sourdough rolls! Sourdough ciabatta! Sourdough everything! (Sourdough is my guilty pleasure).
The eggs Benedict could be better, but alongside the adorable spreads and condiments tray, I’m willing to overlook the imperfections.
All in all it’s in the perfect location, has a really bright atmosphere and a warm and homey feel💖

Lots of choice on the menu even if you are vegetarian or vegan, and the food was really tasty and very fresh.
I highly recommend the choc nut milk smoothie - and I switched the cows yoghurt for almond milk and it was delicious.
My son loved the play area and I also loved browsing the shops and the mid-week market that are all bursting with homemade local goods.
My food was pretty good, service was excellent. My wife's food was amazing. She had the French toast berry dish. It was outstanding. Will definitely come back!
The owners and staff are super friendly and I have yet to try something that isn't delicious. Their Saturday morning market stall will drive you crazy if you visit them on an empty stomach😅

We were questioning what we’d find when we chose a 3-1/2 star rated location for breakfast but our choices were limited on a Sunday morning. We were one of the first in the restaurant so e we had our choice of seating, but by the time we left - just before 11h00, the place was packed to the rafters. And for good reason! Why the 3-1/2 star ratings. Our entire party of four had a 5 star experience.
The wait staff was attentive. Our waiter took our orders from memory and delivered all, exactly as ordered - and we had quite a bit of uniqueness to our plates. When the food came, we took pictures of our plates because the presentation and craftsmanship was so remarkable. We called the chef to our table to give our compliments. He was well pleased, grinning ear to ear. And the food tasted as good as it looked!
We hope your experience was as good as ours. But we will certainly return next time we visit Plettenberg Bay. Thank you, Roost, for the memorable and delicious start to our day!

I don't know what the problem was of the previous visitors, but we loved it. We almost didn't go here because of the last reviews, so felt compelled to write one.
