My husband and I were looking for a good’ol soulful house sessions and a chilled Friday, the music is the reason we checked the place out but the food is amazing we had the meat platter ...small portions but you do get full.The service was good and friendly stuff.
There are very few places in Johannesburg that cater for after-work drinks well. Mix Cocktail Bar is your answer to a chic haunt and a diverse range of drinks. If you also want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sandton, and give malls a "hard-no" - you will love Mix. They also make a great brunch on Saturday, which you must try with mimosas of course.
Mix Bar as Mesh Club has had a complete revamp - I was super impressed with my creativity of the food and the sublime cocktails mixed by the amazing Devin Cross! I absolute love the Italian 75 - never thought I'd be a sucker for olive oil and gin, but it's a complete treat. While the cocktails may attract you at first glance, make sure that you try out their tapas menu which is a mix of Japanese and French flavours. Definitely recommend this spot for an intimate date night or evening with the girls!

This place is not surely one of the places to go out for food but if you go out for drinks then surely try the variety of gins available here with the food also the blueberry mojito here is just awesomely mixed and made.
I went to Mesh for an event and I loved the place! It was beautiful and had a good vibe! The only reason why this isn't a 5/5 rating was that the food on the night was Asian cuisine- not a fan that. But the few things I had was really good. The waiters and bartenders were excellent. I had the most amazing drink- a blueberry mojito, it instantly became my favorite. Would definitely go back and try other things on their menu.
First Thursday led me here with a group of friends after work. Pretty great place. There's a members only area that I'm keen to get access to someday.
Great selection of gin. The food menu is a little thing but I suppose this isn't the place you go to for a great meal.
For Friday after-work drinks, Mesh Club is quite the sophisticated and trendy spot to be. A class above the rest! DO note, they are a paperless restaurant so if you don't have your card with you, you're a little screwed.
It is a bit pricey, cocktails start at about R110 but its an absolute treat!
A beautifully designed space. We visited for brunch - I’d seen a menu online and the prices seemed very reasonable. So, the prices are reasonable however the portion sizes are quite small. I would rather have paid a bit more for a slightly bigger portion.
If you’re looking for a boozy brunch, they have a vast Bloody Mary station 😋
That said, the food was delicious. Service, excellent. Space, inspiring. Art & decor, awesome. View, stunning (especially in Jacaranda season). And I’d definitely return again for cocktails when the bar has an evening vibe and sunset view 🌇 +🍸🍹=👌🏻

What a classy little spot! Cocktails on point - Negroni done right, with a beautiful block of clear ice, with perfect balance! The best in Gauteng so far by far! Service was good and attentive, vibe was cool and location great. Will certainly be back for more. Well done team!

Mix Bar is the hidden gem within a members only club. Wait out the afternoon traffic, take in the spectacular view of lush urban forest of north east Johannesburg while enjoying a cocktail over cool beats.
If you get peckish I'd recommend the Sirloin special if they have it otherwise the chicken tenders - both cooked to perfection & delicious. But the real perk of visiting Mix is the service, which is members only standard. Highly trained waiters, attentive without being overbearing who offer good recommendations based on your mood and palate. Also look out for their specials, as a gin lover I appreciated the double Monkey 47 & tonic at +/- R90 (Jan 2019).

If you are in the Rosebank area, Mix Cocktail Bar is a definite must after work, around 4pm. And eclectic mix of people and impeccable decor to compliment. The staff are super professional, the drinks are great and the bar menu is awesome aperitif before dinner. And the view is remarkably stunning, so you’ll enjoy the sunset while sipping on your beverage.

I am new in Johanneburg and i have visited this bar a few times, the waiters and bar man ROCKS this place....
The setting is very nice as i am a smoker there is a smoking area available to not disrespect the non smokers.
The cocktails are from out of this world - The BEST
The wine list had various wines to choose from which makes it interesting, i normally have the Rijks Chenin Blanc from the Tulbagh family in Cape Town.
I haven't tried the food menu so cant recommend anything.
I will most defo be visiting this bar once or more a week, every week.
Keep up the GOOD work Manager and by keeping your staff happy to keep me happy :-)
The floors are very slippery, do not wear heels when you visit this place. Otherwise great place even though it was a farewell party. Not sure what it's like on a regular day.
Venue is amazing and spacious. Drinks menu, a wide variety and will suit any palate. Old fashions were amazing and the vibe, chilled, vibey and classy. Will definitely be returning in the future.
The newest addition to the MESH offering, a very trendy rooftop bar - partly under roof and part open to the skies. It also doubles as a gallery, exhibition space and events venue. Great for sundowners but with a slightly more limited menu that it's older sister downstairs. The bar doesn't take cash.
