I usually come here with my sister or friends.
The first time we were here, our waiter was Katlego, and every time we went there we would ask for him. He is a great waiter, always has a smile on.
Today I was a bit disappointed that he left, but anyhow, service was still good, and overall it is a great place.

I've had a huge change of heart concerning this place. My first time there was a bad but second time was too nice. Lebo our waitress was super friendly. The music is great. The food is good and it was just great way to end the week. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager Thabo and he made sure we were well taken care of. Overall I think this is my favourite News cafe.i I'll definitely be back
Newscafe for me will always be a cool drink spot after work or on weekends, purely for drinks, music and the vibe (day & night) I really like it, personally I stay away from the food at such places.
Splendid service and the manager...superb customer care..everyone knows how to not pester but give attention...even going expectations to make u feel at home.
Good vibes. Good music. Great choice of Dj's... A proper place to just have a great time, amazing customer service as well. Thoroughly impressed.

My waiter Ayanda was a superstar! I had asked him to keep my drink as I went to MTN as I had a phone problem and he trusted me enough that I could quickly go out and in before I finished my drink or settled my bill. I had been jotting in and out but his service had always been a winner. He recommended the original melt dish which I declined at first then when I asked for the menu again and he recommended it again, I went for it and don't regret it. Thanks Ayanda- you're amazing.
Today was #TSwomensrace in Newtown and this place was not prepared for the influx of hungry runners wanting breakfast
That said, the service was great, coffee amazing and the breakfast just what was needed
Most of us ordered the Early Bird R25 special... My word there was such a LOT of food on the plate! Well worth the money.

Food was great. Drinks were great. Waitrons need name badges though as they dont introduce themselves, it would be nice to know who is taking care of our table by name.
Great vibe and great music. The waiters are very nice and respectful. The food was great although took longer than I would have liked. Otherwise no complaints, their bathrooms are also clean and look modern. Inside they is DJ and you can seat on couches around, great overall.
Awesome place to go out. Great food. Waiter was on fleek. And the vibe was awesome. Made a few friends there.
Nice and cool music 👌, food and drinks reasonable price
Oupa Salemane dazzled us with wonderful jazz music, his session was well attended and News Cafe was on point in terms of hospitality

The place was buzzing with very loud deep house music, however was not packed. It was very chilled it was just my bae and I and no other odd distractions. The lamp ribblets offered in rosemary were very tasty and nice.
Food delicious, beer extra cold, service on point
It's a nice place but I am concerned about the salt in their food. It was the second time I went there and felt that the salt was too much. Either than that, the place is nice.
Staff very helpful. I enjoyed myself, will surely visit again and again. Thanks a lot.
