This is one of my favourite places in Joburg. The Perfect Cup is an intimate, cosy home away from home. The team are like a family and it is run in a personal way with every customer coming in being welcomed into its gentle, relaxed vibe. The coffee is a well-rounded, mellow, warm-noted, delicious hug in a cup. The menu has a selection of simple breakfast, sarmies, the famous jaffles, delicious cakes and pancakes to die for. The only downside is that there aren't any gluten free options, but the food available is home made and delish. There is live jazz on Saturday mornings, and it's just a fave hang out where you will see lots of lovely faces. The owner, Mich, is warm and wonderful and makes everyone feel right at home. Do yourself a favour and go hang out at the Perfect Cup :)
I went for breakfast at the perfect Cup and the atmosphere is nice and the service is good. The staff are friendly and Owner hands on very good and nice to see food is good and fresh .Will most definitely be back. Well done keep it up.
A few friends and i popped in at this cute little coffee shop just the other afternoon, all i can say is this place is a hidden gem! I had an iced coffee followed by a slice of carrot cake, it was probably the best carrot cake i have ever tasted in a long time. Will definately be back!

However, this does not take away anything from the rest of the menu. The full and half breakfast are tasty, filling and always good quality. The menu is small, but everything on it is a hit.
The cafe itself is adorable and on weekends there is usually live music to enjoy. The staff is young and friendly, but very eager to please and have been well trained.
There is usually fresh cakes and sweets but the star is true pancakes. I always have the apple cream and cinnamon pancake, but the savory ones are just as delicious.
The coffee is another highlight. They have beautiful cappuccinos usually served with a tiny short bread cookie. A large array of coffee beans for sale separately is another great feature of this stunning spot.
If you have not given the perfect cup a try, you are missing out!
This is a lovely spot for a breakfast or coffee. Their was a two man band playing which was really lovely. The service was also good and friendly.
I ate the half sized breakfast which was a perfect size for me. We also shared a pancake which was lovely. They have a good coffee offering, it's definitely worth a visit!
My husband and I went for coffee late on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed so we could only have drinks.
We had two delicious cuppacino's and although the shop was now closed, the staff grinded some coffee beans for my husband to take home.
Staff was very friendly and apologetic that the kitchen had already closed.
Only one thing that always bugs me.... When the tables get cleared and stacked while I am still sitting there.
Will visit again !
Lovely little spot with a smooth, relaxing ambiance. and the coffee is very good.
The savoury cheese, chilli and sweetcorn muffins are world-class!
Not to forget the Fletcher breakfast includes a relish which rounds off the whole breakfast experience deliciously.
Wi-fi works well. They have Snapscan for payment convenience.
Staff are also very friendly, competent and attentive.
What a beautiful little gem. I loved the quirky decorations and homely feel. Sweet pretty waitress, who was very patient with my loquacious granny. We had breakfast and coffee. Delicious
Delicious coffee... And a great variety of different blends, which you can purchase to take home, they can also grind it for you which I really appreciated! The music gives it a relaxed vibe and it's was overall an amazing experience! Thanx for excellent service!
Lovely new location next to the tennis courts. Was initially disappointed to not find them in the usual spot thinking this another COVID closure but this is a massive improvement. Right across the road you can’t miss them. The perfect home for the perfect cup. There is cover should it rain and on a sunny Saturday morning in the winter the cold matters not. And of course the coffee is great. Dogs are welcome, there are two plug points, and believe there may even be Wifi.
Such a quaint little spot hidden next to the tennis courts. The coffee is really good (4/5) and the chocolate croissants are unreal with proper Nutella inside! Just a laid back vibe with friendly staff.
I love that they have little treats (like zoo biscuits), a bowl of water for dog's and even doggie treats.

This place is beautiful and what I love about this place is the love of the community. It's a community based place. Their friendly and incredible staff. This place was such a pleasant find!! The best creamy mushrooms on toast in Johannesburg. Great coffee with an in-house roastery. Highly recommended, especially for breakfast and lunch.
A great place for coffee and a croissant or muffin. Tucked away next to the tennis court it's a good find for a quick cuppa. Staff are great.
I was treated to breakfast and a sweet treat. What a nice setting and trendy setup. The place looked very inviting and charming. What a good selection of food - I ended up ordering the following :-
Half Breakfast which consisted of the following 1 egg, 2 rashers of bacon, tomato, toast and jam. Delicious – the plate was clean no need to wash 😊
The sweet treat order was a Bar One Banana & Ice Cream pancake. Pancakes were super soft, fluffy and melt in mouth pancakes. Truly delicious - Loved it.
Overall a decent pocket-friendly place serving a good range of tasty savoury and sweet treats with a decent menu for full eating. Will for sure visit them again!
