Today I sampled their trio of slider burgers and was delighted. Succulent and juicy.
Prompt service with little mini red velvet cakes served with our coffee brings a smile to our hearts.

Walnut Grove certainly has left the exact opposite of a bad taste in my mouth! The food was incredible and so was the service. The quality and styling of the food was designed to feel comforting and simplistic yet also have a certain variety of ingredients and complexity of flavours. Due to the reasons above this restaurant deserves five gleaming gold stars, no questions asked. Walnut Grove has an open feel with plenty of space for seating and it certainly was packed when we visited! With no negatives or criticism, I would visit this place again in a heartbeat and hope that you do too!
The restaurant is located near the food court so it can be a bit loud unless you sit further in the restaurant. The decor is quite cool with an enormous tree chandelier at the entrance. The rest of the restaurant has wooden arching details. We have been to the restaurant 3 times now, primarily for the cake! The waiters are always friendly but the service is generally quite slow. The food is tasty (although very averagely presented). The standout is definitely the cakes. Although really pricy at R69 per slice, they are moist and decadent!
Got some afternoon tea with my friends and we all loved the ambience and how quiet and chilled the place was. They have quite a few vegetarian friendly options and their cakes taste just as good as it looks and is super moist, sadly none of the cakes are vegan friendly. They have a few very common vegan dishes available but I would appreciate if they had more options.
Great food and service for a break from shopping at Sandton. The mamma pizza was awesome along with the Cuban club sandwich. Drinks are plentiful and the cucumber and apple granita not to be missed. Give this place a try!
They have the best wings and cake ever (they have a variety of cake that you can enjoy) !!! Their service is great! I love the ambiance as well

For as long as I can remember, this place is a great classic. From the decor to the food, this is an amazing place. Most of the dishes served are of hotel quality and service was pretty decent to say the least.
If you want amazing and made by the angels in heaven cake . This is your spot ,zero exaggeration . This little gem is in the middle of Sandton City Mall .
Their service is really great and the manager is constantly checking up on all the tables . It’s pretty cool that you get to see the cakes being made and the magic happens right in front of your eyes . I’ve never had the breakfast here but I hear it’s good too .
Be warned ,the portion slices are super huge and it takes a good hour to kill a slice . So sharing of one slice can definitely happen .
I’ll always love this place and without a doubt will always recommend it .

I came her on Friday morning with my two friends for some breakfast.
I was impressed with the set up and the ambiance. Got greeted by 4 friendly waiters/waitresses at the top of the stairs and we were walked to our table.
This place is classy and worth your money because the food is worth its value . The food was great and the service was perfection. Our waitresses name was Buhle and she was there to make us feel 'at home'. Her professionalism is something I appreciate the most because she made sure everything at our table was 'fine' and also checking up on us without being a nuisance.
It's cosy and a perfect place to eat. I highly recommend it because in my opinion Sandton city has many restaurants that fall flat on expectations. I can't give it a 5 because it's not the best restaurant I've been to, but is one of my memorable ones and I shall return.
This is such an amazing spot. The ambience is amazing. The food was okay but the cakes were the winners of the day. I particularly enjoyed the rainbow cake. It was to die for. I really enjoyed myself.

I had the Walnut Grove make a Red Velvet cake for a Birthday celebration. With only 24 hours notice they were able to provide a custom cake that both looked and tasted outstanding. Everyone at the celebration commented how moist and delicious the cake was. Thank you for being so accommodating.
Food is expensive but a very large portion and very tasty. The burger was drenched in cheese and abit oily but chicken strips was delicious. The waitress was extremely pleasant and checked on us frequently. The restaurant and its bathrooms are very clean and have an upmarket feel.
Walnut Grove has always been beautiful, a lovely place for date night. The cakes are are show pieces that keep one wowed with their height and flavor combinations.
My husband and I started our date with burgers. Huge burgers at that. The beef pattie was tender, well cooked, the bacon and onion rings were a perfect accompaniment to the pattie. As for my slice of carrot cake with cheesecake, it was absolutely delicious. The cake was moist, with a perfect ratio icing to cake.
We went in for supper on a Friday night. The restaurant was not to busy and we were seated fairly quickly.
I chose to have a light meal and went with the chicken strips with almond crust which came with cheese fondue.
The chicken was very tender and flavourful which was good. The food was prepared a bit on the slower side and the wait was a bit long.
For dessert I tried the black velvet oreo cake. This was really good and the slice was very generous. One would struggle to finish it after a full meal.
I would definitely return to try other options on the menu.

Good meals at decent prices. We really enjoyed the options, there’s a fair amount of veg but I feel like there could be more variety for vegetarians.

We went during weekday lunch time, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was unexpectedly great, had a nachos and salad, and the decor and interior design of the restaurant is tranquil and lovely.
The food is juicy and delicious, the cakes are worth every cent, the service from the staff is great, however the setting of tables is a bit weirdly cramped.
