Great people.. lovely venue to do any kind of function..plenty of space..if u want to brake away and have good fun and friends...that's your place..would recommend to anyone...I will be going back...lovely food..people..lots of respect and kids friendly...just love it
I was blown away. OMW it is so beautiful and relaxing. The beauty the creativity it's amazing.
The funny little quirks written and hiding in plan sight. If I had more time I would really have loved to spend the whole day.
Found the cutest, quirkiest little farm stall.
They literally had everything you could think of and certainly spoke to my artistic side
If you are up this way it is worth stopping on
The staff are so friendly and there are all sorts of trinkets and books and crannies to explore
Enjoyed the alternative farm style environment. Mixed with coffee shop, farm animals, garden plats for sale to play park for the kids.
So there is quite a bit to do.
Why a 4 star because if you had to compare to some excellent places like waterfront Cape Town it would get less. So it would be recommended to visit this venue. It was great experience, patience with ordering of food would be recommended but all and all was it great value for money.
My personal score on:
*Service - the service here is something different, you order and pay at the front desk and receive a card to put on your table, the difference is that you can sit anywhere you like and the waiter brings it to you. Kind of hide and seek for them all the time, lol.
*Atmosphere - The atmosphere is laid back and tranquil, with ducks in the pond. There are many more animals that what looks to me - living a royal life.
*Food - The pizza we had "Mojo" was as tasty as I would like a pizza to be, the toppings were generous and lovely. The crust is nice and thin and crispy, just the way I like it.
*Cleanliness - The staff looks to be cleaning all the time which makes it a very nice place to be indeed.
*Kid friendly - There are lots for the kids to do, play on the jungle gym, look at animals, walk on the paths to look at interesting works of art and plants.
GENERAL: I would recommend Plaasmol for anyone travelling passed Hopefield a must see.
A must stop when driving through Hopefield... Love the nursary!
My Happy place. Such beautiful people working here!! Love the animal variety and the beautiful maintained grounds. The animals are ao well looked after and their little homes so clean and kept. Such a great place for the whole family to enjoy💕🎵
A different experience. Great for a travel stop and to take a break. Browse the shops or eat something from the kitchen. Let the children view the animals and the petting zoo.
Little “hidden treasure”, the most delicious Roosterkoek you will find ;) lovely atmosphere with burning fire in the cold!
Die Plaasmol is a very unique and interesting place to visit. There are animals (even zebra) that can be fed (buy the food inside). There are lots of plants that can be bought and jams, desserts, snacks etc. It’s a bit confusing to figure out where is what, but eventually you find it. The food shop staff was not really ecstatic about any clients, they just helped as they came along. The queue became quite long and there was no real urgency to get things going quicker. We ordered some roosterkoek with boerewors and relish. The bar side staff was more friendlier and there was some background music playing. They also had a big screen for sport matches I assume. They serve Sunday lunches, so there might be an option to visit again. Lots of parking available.
