Lovely place, so peaceful! Good for unwinding because there is no network in most parts of the property, and the WiFi also struggles 90% of the time. Close to hiking trails, well kept swimming pool and good food.
Esther, her husband and Arthur were amazing hosts, and we always felt safe.

We simply love the setting in the garden and the food and service was simply amazing. Loved the home made lemon ice cream.
Prawns and fish was a bit dry and tasteless but what to expect from frozen seafood. Loved the rösti which is simply divine.
We went for Sunday lunch. Perfect setting, super friendly and efficient service, owners are hosting guests, food options wide and simply delectable starters, mains and desert, super delicious. Well worth the 50 min drive from Jhb, and terrific value for money. Memorable. Thank you Esther.

Do yourself a favour and pop in at Esther's Country Lodge! Best food, great service in a peaceful, tranquil environment. You just want to stay and not leave....
You also have to try their homemade bread and their chocolate brownies and cream for dessert.
Definitely going to go back again and also try out their accommodation next time!
