From the moment we walked in the place warmed my heart. Our waiter Xolelwa was outstanding as she provided us with top service. I greatly appreciated the fact that she was able to advise on the top picks from their food menu. The food was by far the best we have had in Grahamstown up to date, and the drinks equally as good. We had the Philly Cheese Steak Burger and the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles. SO GOOD!! They also have this very unique mayo that they serve with their meals, It is addictive.🤤 We will be recommending Major Fraser's to everyone and will most definitely be going back for more.

Nice restaurant. Service was good but the aubergine gratin was a little cold and the pork belly skewers were a little more skewer than pork belly. Other than that, we had a very pleasant meal.

Such a great spot! The pizza was to die for (highly recommend The Major) and the staff were friendly and efficient. Many thanks to Kurt for sorting us out and making us feel so welcome 🌻 will definitely visit again. Unfortunately didn't take an image of the pizza but here's a picture of a donkey we met outside 🫏

Such a lovely experience, the meal was great from starter to mains. The service was fantastic and despite it being a busy Friday night with end of year/ exams we could have been the only table with the level of attendance and care shown to us. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to come back the next time we are in town.

The decor is quite aesthetic. The menu is also quite varied and delicious. From Major Fraser, you can just walk into a hair salon, an ice-cream bar and a gift shop. A good place to kill a few hours of time.

Their sauces need major improvement, their food could do with some improvement as well. loved their hot chocolate and loved loved! the fact that they had heaters and blankets in every table, when it was cold and raining,for that I recommend it highly.
