Review Major Fraser's Craft Bar & Eatery - Grahamstown

From the moment we walked in the place warmed my heart. Our waiter Xolelwa was outstanding as she provided us with top service. I greatly appreciated the fact that she was able to advise on the top picks from their food menu. The food was by far the best we have had in Grahamstown up to date, and the drinks equally as good. We had the Philly Cheese Steak Burger and the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles. SO GOOD!! They also have this very unique mayo that they serve with their meals, It is addictive.🤤 We will be recommending Major Fraser's to everyone and will most definitely be going back for more.

Nice restaurant. Service was good but the aubergine gratin was a little cold and the pork belly skewers were a little more skewer than pork belly. Other than that, we had a very pleasant meal.

Such a great spot! The pizza was to die for (highly recommend The Major) and the staff were friendly and efficient. Such a lovely experience, the meal was great from starter to mains. The service was fantastic and despite it being a busy Friday night with end of year/ exams we could have been the only table with the level of attendance and care shown to us. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to come back the next time we are in town.

Wow what an incredible meal!! Buttermilk Chicken waffle, jalapeño honey drizzle and wedges…satisfied beyond words!! Hit all the right Spots!! Thanks Curt!!

The decor is quite aesthetic. The menu is also quite varied and delicious. From Major Fraser, you can just walk into a hair salon, an ice-cream bar and a gift shop. A good place to kill a few hours of time.

Came here for our staff end of year party and everything was great. The food. The drinks. The Atmosphere. Thank you to Hlumelo. His service was top tier. Definitely coming back.

Simba was an amazing host and waiter for the evening. Definitely made us stay longer than we initially intended because he was so amazing. The cocktails were awesome, too

Their sauces need major improvement, their food could do with some improvement as well. loved their hot chocolate and loved loved! the fact that they had heaters and blankets in every table, when it was cold and raining,for that I recommend it highly.

Favourite restaurant in Grahamstown :) The tapas menu is great, lots of nice vegetarian options :) And there is a great selection of cocktails and drinks. I always have friendly and efficient service, and the atmosphere is awesome.

The best restaurant in town, you are guaranteed amazing food, a very cool atmosphere and the friendliest service especially if Xolelwa is your waitress! Definitely go out for a treat here soon.

Beautiful spot as you enter Grahamstown. Food portion is so generous, prices reasonable. Servers all such friendly, happy people. See you again when im in the area again.

The most delicious vegan and gluten free pizza! Specially came back here to have it. And once again didn’t disappoint. What a super venue and courteous, lovely waiter.

Hlumelo, was such a lovely waiter which made the experience ten times better! I had a good time.
