Carmella's Nutella cake saved the day for me last Friday! I traveled from Melrose Arch all the way to Cedar Square to get a speciality cake for my fiancés 40th birthday party the next day (long story about why it was at the last minute!) and was let down at the cake shop I'd originally gone to whose website professes to have ready to go speciality cakes. On my way out, all despondent, angry and bothered, I spotted a beautiful cake at Carmella's and went in to enquire about whether they sell them. I was accommodated to the hilt. My cake was personalized and sparkles added at no extra cost! And it was so delicious that guests who don't ordinarily have a sweet tooth went back for seconds! Thank you so much for your kind assistance, generosity and professionalism. I will be back for lunch the next time I'm in the area.

I love Carmella's !! I always take my dogs with me to breakfast -they get a warm welcome and their own water bowls -they are so kind to my animals. Staff are incredible and so friendly ! I am super fussy and asked for an 8egg white omlette -they didn't hesitate to whatever it would take to gice me the best breakfadt. The owner's warmth and love for her restaurant gives the place a wonderful atmosphere.
Love the setting and service is great with all protocols followed.
Had a slice of the raspberry cake and unfortunately was not enjoyed.
Overall a great setting with the tastiest eggs benedict.

My friend and I went for breakfast this morning. I live really far from the fourways area so wasn’t sure what to expect. Carmella’s was excellent the portion sizes are huge and the prices really reasonable for what you get. My friend has the mini vege with extra avocado and I had the savory mushrooms on rye bread. The mushrooms were amazing and the tumeric bomb was the perfect drink to wash it down with. I would definitely go back when in the area
We frequent Carmella's often as it's 2km from our home. They have fresh, quality food that is always impeccably plated and presented well. Their halloumi is amazing. We haven't had many of their cakes but the ones we have had were good. Reviews aren't really our thing so if we're posting one it's because you either screwed up badly or you did something amazing. Thanks to Carmella's for always making our breakfasts amazing. Keep up the good work and give your chefs a sloppy kiss from us....
Carmella’s is a lovely café with stunning decor and great busy morning ambience! The delicious food does not come cheap but its definitely worth every penny! Coffee is great and so is the service! Will return and recommend this as a quick coffee or breakfast spot!

What a charming spot in Cedar Square. Carmella's is the perfect brunch and lunch spot. There is lots of safe free parking and the restaurant is easy to find. We chose to sit inside even though there is plenty of outside seating. The decor is as sweet as the cakes on display. Fresh and charming at the same time.
Because I was a bit fluey, I decided to have the spicy vitamin C floo shot. I also had a lovely cappuccino with the most decadent chocolate cookie.
Cyprian had the burger and said it was juicy and tasty. I opted for the unusual pita meat ball combo with fresh guacamole. This was a real treat. Perfect for a winter lunch option. It was wholesome and full.
We struggles picking a cake, so wee had them all. Well smaller slices. I loved the carrot cake, filled with chunky pieces of pineapple. The Bar-One cheese cake was deadly. If you like chocolate this is a must. The regular cheesecake was delicious. Served with a side of strawberries, I preferred it plain.
Surprisingly, we had enough space for a frulata. This was creamy and not too sweet. The shakes and smoothies are big hit, so we had to taste them.
Its a lovely little restaurant that serves healthy, tasty fresh food in the Fourways area. If you looking for a great brunch spot, this is it.
If you're looking for healthy, wholesome homemade food in and around Cedar Square, then this is the place to be. The Service was effecient and the breakfast and smoothie was brilliant in terms of taste and presentation. To be honest, I couldn't identify any flaws.
Been meaning to eat here for a while. Have had one of their home meals which was great and they have quite a variety of them, they also have honey for sale which I love.
Menu was a lot healthier than I expected.
Their burgers were huge and extremely tasty. They come with sweet potato wedges that are amazing.
Definitely going to make more stops here

Great for coffee. Services freshly baked cakes and also serves smoothies and milkshakes.
The bakery is good sells cakes, cookies, brownies, biscotti etc. The confectionery is fresh, rich, very well done, not your average cakes. If you are fussy cake person and cannot handle coffee shops with mediocre cake, Carmella’s is your spot.
Nice for breakfast and light meals.

The square has option of Free uncovered parking or paid covered parking.
Restaurant is located on top floor opposite Kauai and next to PostNet. On same floor as the Virgin Active Gym.

Lovely restaurant located in Cedar Square. We paid a visit during loadshedding though, so the entire menu was not available and understandably so. The food was lovely and prices were fair. This restaurant feels like a cafe that offers home made meals, something I found very pleasant. There are a multitude of cocktails on offer and some gourmet milkshakes too.
Just ordered from here and got an unexpected surprise. I loved my Bfast and the cake. Thank you ❤️
The service was great, and the food very delicious. I was shocked to receive my food within 5 minutes, literally it was soo quick. The food on the dish were so fresh and tasty,I especially loved the watermelon surprise(was not on the menu), it really complemented all the flavors.

Exceptional salmon scramble breakfast, perfect eggs scrambled with cre'me fraic'he toasted rye, grilled cherry tomatoes, the stand out was the orange slices and the crispy kale done with a subtle spice, everything complimented one another, the best salmon breakfast I've had by far....

The in-house rusks deserve their own review. Make sure you ask for some. They also have the gluten free version. Staff are always more than happy to ensure your prime satisfaction. I love it there. 6 Stars !!!
Superb service. Breakfast was amazing. Got a cupcake for my birthday, nice touch. Lemon meringue tartlets were very tasty but a bit small.
Mimi was great and took care of us for our breakfast; food was super tasty - especially the guinoa / buckwheat spinach; avo & egg bowl 🥰
The service is very attentive and the food is wonderful and surprisingly good value for money. Lovely vibe with the staff being highly passionate about what they do and it reflects in the food. Learnt a great tip to keep the wonderful bees at bay whilst eating,burn left over coffee from the coffee grinders.
Never disappointed with the service and food. 10/10. Excellent food, excellent service.
