One of the first places we visited after moving to the Northern Suburbs, have been back many times, always a great friendly vibe. Staff are amazing and chatty, the lady manager is so attentive and always walking about. Food is great, the popcorn butter chicken is addictive! Especially with the blue cheese sauce. Very good value for money and they always have awesome specials. Killer place and looking forward to going back.
The updated menu is incredible and offers something for everyone. New staff and management are friendly and eager to be of service. The cocktails go great with the live music and modern Mexican atmosphere.
Our new regular spot. Great for after work drinks or a casual dinner. Love the Paloma’s! The cheese and beef tacos are a must try. Haven’t been for two weeks and already suffering from withdrawal!
I have been many times, the food and cocktails never disappoint me.
The atmosphere is also great to go with a group of friends.
A bonus attraction has to be the “themed” days/ specials on certain days.
Will definitely be back!
We have dined at Cantina Tequila a few times now. Every time has been an absolute treat! The owners have always made us feel welcome and comfortable and the waiters are efficient and friendly. The food though is the reason we go there! Every dish we’ve ordered off the extensive menu has been phenomenal! The dishes are pure delicious! We’ve had some of the platters, the tacos, nachos and burgers and have absolutely loved every bite! We look forward to our next visit at Cantina!
Service was good, my only problem was when I ordered my food, it didn't specify on the menu that it was spicy, and it was SUPER spicy, but my friends who like spicy food enjoyed it! The non-spicy food that I have tried though, is really good too (just be sure to check with the waiter if it's spicy or not before you order).
Absolutely amazing food, great vibes, friendly staff. Had a platter with chips, amazing, and the cocktails are delish, will definitely recommend this place to anyone. #tequilawasamazing.
My hubby took me and the kids for lunch and it was great, a bit quiet but the food, service and music was great. I absolutely love the frozen margs and the nachos are a must if you visit!
Always love coming here! I have been here since the old Waterfront days and the food is always good and service on par. I took my family for lunch and my kids enjoyed the new milkshake flavours and home made ice cream. The wife and I had some cocktails and the frozen margaritas are the best in town. Nacho;'s were as good as ever and the chicken wings remain a favorite. We tried a few of their new dishes and the calamari and tacos are a winner. Will be back soon!
The burgers are great. the one I had didn't come with bread (The Leaf burger) and had avocado and crispy onions on top of it. My friend said his calamari was the best he has had and the taco starter was also very good. A guy called Mike was our waiter and suggested the frozen margarita, it was worth it. Great view from the balcony and a good vibe.
The food here is truly good and affordable. The service is really good, they have indoor heaters which are amazing for cold winter nights they serve cocktails, "hard liquor" and beer. It is usually empty during the week so sometimes they close the kitchen early its best to call them first to check their operating hours. There is no need to make reservations unless you have a big group of people. It is not wheelchair accessible nor is it child friendly. On Fridays and weekends they stick to their usual times.
One of the hottest places in Cape Town. The food is firstly out of this world. Well priced and offers real value for money. The dance floor is electric and will keep you dancing till all hours of the night. The bar caters for some of the best cocktails and Cantina Tequila offers an all round experience under one roof.
So if you out for a party, come hungry and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
Word has it the the new menu was designed by one of the best young Chefs in Cape Town - Garth Johnson. His inventive, culinary skills has delivered some awesome new tastes and will have you wanting more. So visit one of Cape Towns hippest and vibist places.
Great service. Nice variety on new cocktails and classic cocktails as well! Food good to share for 2-3 people.
Nice chill place to go after a long day at work or at class. Good vibe music as well. After 22:30-23:00 it's good for dancing and having a great time On the dance floor.

Food is good. Happy hour on Saturday between 5 and 6. Great for the first half of the rugby on the big screen.

I had an awesome experience with a group of 7 other friends. Our waiter, Michael I think, took really good care of us. He made sure that we all had something to drink throughout the evening. He was really friendly and gave good recommendations for the drinks and food. It is a very cosy and like they say in Afrikaans "gesellige" place. I really like the warm atmosphere and the nice heaters for these winter days. The food was really nice and most of it had a nice chilly flavour, but not too much. I can't wait to go again and order those platters to share!
Great place. Bartenders are so friendly too. They are quite a tease, they even called me on my full name when I drunk. Good laugh. Totally will go here again. Thanks for the great night.
