The experience was lovely, with attentive waitering staff.
The portions are healthy, the taste - impeccable. Had the Carbonara, which felt like the royal majesty of all the past meals I have had before it.
The venue itself is charming, with a nice range of music playing in the background. You might catch yourself singing along at some point.

When I went to Cape Town, I had lunch with my mom. The food is sooo good, big portions, great quality and the prices are amazing.
We took my dad that same evening because it was such an amazing experience.
Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back every time!
Salmon was to die for!
I made a reservation yesterday morning via the internet for the same evening, which was dealt with quickly and without issues (thank you Charl). We arrived at 18:30 and was promptly shown to our table by a very friendly waitress. Ordered the snails, bacon and cheese starter - worth every sent, it was delicious. We opted for the signature dishes - the Eisbein and Pork Belly. Both dishes was really nice, good portion size and presented well - we weren't in a hurry so we didn't really time the dishes. Overall experience was a great evening out with very good food and friendly attentive service. We'll definately visit again.
Great food, nice place for kids. Swimming pool, jungle gum, trampoline and a huge open space for outdoor games. Perfect for pool parties and birthday parties. Bring the kids and have a nice time. It's a must go!
Went there for the burgers for a 2nd time and enjoyed it alot. Huge portions with lots of salad , not just a piece of tomato & a slice of cucumber, but almost a full green salad. Compared to a Spur burger , you'll think Spur is ripping you off , because it's almost the same price. Make sure to ask how the patty must be done.
We've been to Rusty Oak last week for breakfast. We had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and the Bacon Bits Eggs Benedict. Both were big portions and really nice.Yesterday we spent the day at the restaurant and with our daughter at the swimming pool.My daughter and I shared the savoury mince on toast for breakfast. For lunch we had the pulled pork nacho's. Generous portions and very tasty.The only negative: Some attention to décor in the restaurant is much needed as it is outdated.Overall experience: Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere with GOOD food. Nice play area for children. Will definitely visit frequently. Note: The menu currently on Zomato is still the old menu.
About 2 weeks ago, the spur of the moment 2 girlfriends and I decided to try out this spot for dinner and drinks. We were surprised at how empty it was. Our waiter was attentive (in fact all the staff were pretty friendly and chatty) and happily changed all the linens when I knocked my wine over (oops perhaps too much wine). My friend and I had the pulled pork burgers and the other lady ordered the mussel pot. The food was excellent and really huge portions. Ended up taking half of it home because I really wanted to try the "pampoen tert". Sadly there was none and I settled for the apple crumble. Once again a huge portion but slightly too sweet for my liking (was I too heavy handed with that butterscotch sauce??) Perhaps a smidge of cream or ice cream should be served with this. My friend enjoyed her creme brulee. I really have to go back for that tert. All in all a pleasant experience. Really value for money. I'll be back tomorrow for breakfast 😊
This is a very beautiful venue for functions or birthdays. The food is excellent! There is always good service with friendly welcoming. This venue is the best at night and gives a great vibe. #ZomatoTopStar
Initially we were a little reluctant to try this restaurant as some of the reviews weren't great , however there were some really good reviews as well. So we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt ... and we were pleasantly surprised. The Jalapeno poppers were tasty and freshly made , the fried calamari starter tender and portion decent in size , the creamy fettucceni really delicious and rump steak perfectly done and juicy ( not needing any sauce ). An overall decent tasty filling meal experience at a fair price.
Lovely cosy restaurant, food was superb and our waitress was friendly.
Nice to chat, however the music and tv kept being turned up and we had to request a few times for it to be turned down so we could hear our fellow diners. The roosterkoek is not really roosterkoek but a bun cooked on a grill.
We went there for breakfast exactly a year ago to the day in November and it was awful. We went back this November and the breakfast was fantastic. Was very quiet but it was such a beautiful day and we opted to sit outside. Food was very reasonably priced aswell. We had a breakfast, eggs Benedict, strawberry shake and a latte, portion of chips(huge) tip included it only cost R250. Service was good too.

Absolute phenomenal experience at Rusty Oak Bistro today. It was My Mum's 60th Birthday and altogether we were about 30. From preparations over emails and calls from Ashleigh (Manageress) to going through to the venue to set up earlier - Fantastic customer service! There was honestly no fault. The food was divine, music perfect, our waitress Nicole was just perfect! She ran around so much for us making sure every single person was happy with drinks and food. I am coming back to Rusty Oak Bistro for my 30th Birthday in August and I just cannot wait! Thank you so much from myself, My Family and all our Friends! 5/5 Everything!
We had our company Christmas lunch yesterday. Everyone was happy with their meal. I had the steak. The basting sauce is amazing! The dead flowers on the tables looked awful....you can do better.
New spot to have a beer, brekkie, burger or best pizza. Mervyn our host was on point at all times. We also met Rayne who gave us the full monty of what Fire Craft Restaurant is all about.
A sweet and cosy restaurant, beautifully decorated. Fit for a romantic dinner or just a night out. Delicious food and friendly staff.

Decided to try Fire Craft after seeing a post on Facebook. Initially I was irritated because you didn't have a few items I wanted. That said, when the meal came, we really enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food. I would definately recommend and be back to try other dishes. Two small constructive criticisms: Waiters should tell you about items not available before you set your heart on something and please check your menus before daily service. Due to their design, some have acquired duplicate pages and others have missing pages altogether.
Went to Fire Craft as it is now known for the first time last night for dinner. Seated inside and was a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and food was delicious and in very generous portions. Outside also looks nicely set up and look forward to coming back
