Nice little cafe with great breakfast and delicious juices. We sat outside and enjoyed the people with their dogs passing by. The food was simple yet very good. Service was excellent!

Great location with shaded outside seating onto Waterkant street in the beautiful neighborhood of De Waterkant.

Relaxed lunch spot in the Waterkant with a pleasant atmosphere and plant shaded outside seating. Staff are friendly and service is great. Their juices are outstanding and their signature chicken pie is a must have (possibly the best I've had in Cape Town).

Our new favourite spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine after work to just unwind. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Loved their cheese platter, it is divine!

Had a quick breakfast to start the day, and it really was quick. We ordered and we received almost immediately and no corners were cut on the quality of the breakfast and coffee. Very pleasant experience.

A very nice and cozy cafe good for having a cuppa coffee by the fireplace and read a book.
Came here for a quick brekkie and had scrambled egg with coffee and OJ.
Everything was yummy but the OJ was the best. Maybe because we can in the season for oranges but it was the sweetest oj i have ever had in my life! :)

While walking through the area, we stumbled upon Village Cafe and stopped for a freshly squeezed juice and catch up. The restaurant is quaint, with a pretty outside eating area, perfect for a summers day. We both ordered the Apple, pineapple and mint juice. It arrived promptly and it was delicious but definitely not as cold as I would like it. I would return for one of their delicious looking pastries or a smoked salmon salad, that looked delicious.

We stumbled across the village cafe as we were on our way to another restaurant. It's a quaint cafe with seating space inside and outside the establishment. We had the village boy which is a traditional fry up of eggs, bacon, etc. The food was good but what made the breakfast pleasurable was the atmosphere and people watching. We took a slice of carrot cake home which wasn't too shabby.

They serve an awesome good old bacon and eggs. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Only disappointment was the coffee. Service was good and friendly. Reasonably priced and good value.

Lovely little place. The omelette was amazing, coffee was a bit cold. It was a very chilly morning when we went there, and unfortunately they only have two tables inside. So it was quite a freezing experience. Will definitely go back, but preferably in summer.

I a spoilt brat as I get to stay in De Waterkant every time I travel to Cape Town - once a month for a week . The Village Cafe is the so quaint - 5 steps from my door - freshly juiced juice every morning and omelettes to die for !! My secret is no longer safe - our CEO has fallen in love with the Village too .....as long as they juice my ginger , carrot and apple juice I will share - can't wait to be back next week !!

The best thing about this cafe is the seating outside. The coffee was disappointing and the food was expensive for what you get.

Stumbled across this sweet little place on a foul rainy day - humble, warm & tasty were the impressions I left with. Small menu with just the right mix to satisfy for breakfast or lunch, though for vegos wanting a hot somethin somethin on a cold day the changing daily specials (though interesting) were of the carnivore persuasion; so I ordered a haloumi, tomato, sweet chilli & olive panini. WOW. There's an art to simple sandwiches - these ladies are masters. Was coffee'd out & had hot choc -not a fan of 80's style talk glasses but most Cape Town cafes still are.. what was important was what was inside, & it was just right for a rainy afternoon. Manager (maybe the owner) was a top chic, didn't ask her name, but the attitude, simple tasty food & vibe will see me back again. Recommended for a bite with a friend or two, limited but comfy seating & great communal table if you're on your own.

Peaceful and quiet, at least on a Sunday... Great position in the Gay district amongst the old slave house, now redone in modern splendor. Great food, especially good breakfasts where slow Sundays can be enjoyed while sipping smooth coffees. Life at its best is enjoyed here, especially with good friends!
