Wide selection. Good variety. I just wish there was a better adult sitting area. Also get your staff some chairs, are they giraffes just standing whole day??? There's no bloody need for that.
Phenomenal Service with staff who know most books, where they are in the store, and or when they're coming in (all without looking on the pc).
Over and above they'll suggest similar reads or provide suggestions that have proved to be true gems 💎!
The store is well set out and welcoming, quite a collection point at times.

It's always good to pop in and browse this store. If you're lucky, you'll get a good deal. If they don't have what you're looking for, they source it, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg.
Store has a lot of variety. I like fantasy books, mind body spirit and Manga primarily and the variety at the store is very impressive.
Also a lot of interesting other sections, puzzles and gadgets. Definitely worth a look

Loving the new store. Great selection and engaging staff who new their stock. Pity they don't have the full range of magazines thay they once had but overall a great experience for young and old.
Lovely staff. Called ahead looking for a book, they checked and let me know they had it. We may not have been greeted on entry but they were very attentive when we asked for help.
Also, not treated like thieves and followed throughout the store - thanks for that. They will walk you to the genre you are interested in (not just point in a general direction and continue chatting to one another) and even have recommendations. Even remembered me from the last time I was there and the lovely long chat we had.
Definitely turned around the last experience of the other staff member not helping me as she thought I was the nanny of a woman with seventyleven children I did not arrive with. Much much better experience.
They have a lovely selection of local authors so it's nice to see them show cased and that my suggestions did not fall on deaf ears.
Would definitely recommend this store if you're looking to buy a book or two while in Canal Walk. They now close at 8.

Exclusive Books shut it's doors after the covid pandemic. More's the pity since it's one of our most loved and appreciated bookstores. I was disappointed because all there was at May's end, 2022, was a pop-up. Still I found something good - Simon Sinek's 'Start with Why', an inspiring and useful one, as is the author...well worth having a look at his YouTube posts as well. The GOOD NEWS was that Exclusive Books was once again opening its doors from Friday 3rd June 2022..all those wonderful reads again available to all you avid bookworms! The staff were most friendly, helpful and informative. Go browse you lucky fish that live in Cape Town...or visit from beyond...
