Best Naples pizza in Cape Town. Lovely place, amazing pizza and fantastic dessert! Very very interesting wine list selection too.
Popped in for a quick salad, but the manager recommended a Pizza '(served in 15min), which was absolutely devine, light and easy meal... Service was great. Have to go back for an evening meal.
My partner and I found a voucher on Hyperli for two for pizza at Burrata. It was a really great deal because we wouldn't have normally have been able to afford a restaurant like Burrata.
Burrata is located in the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, so the location is quite central as it is quite close to the city centre. The staff at Burrata were extremely friendly during our dinner and when making our booking. I contacted the restaurant the day before about my voucher and to make a booking - I received a response the same day which was amazing.
On the day, we had three courses in roughly an hour!!! For starters, my partner and I ordered the porcini and mozzarella risotto balls with truffle aioli and parsley oil to share. The balls were super creamy and rich! Very glad we shared as they were extremely filling.
For our mains, my partner ordered Prosciutto e Arugula pizza (mozzarella, parmesan, prosciutto and rocket). I ordered the Deire bianco pizza (mozzarella, truffle spread and mushrooms). The Deire pizza was supposed to come with prosciutto but I am vegetarian so I requested for it to be omitted. Usually when I have a pizza, the best part are the toppings while the base is just a holder for the toppings but this was different. The base was probably the focus of this pizza and was so wholesome and absolutely delicious. after two slices, both of us were super full.
For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu. It was made up of mascarpone mousse, espresso jelly and coffee gelato. I usually am not a fan of jelly but the gelato was great.
Overall, an amazing culinary experience!
New favorite pizza spot in Cape Town 😍 Cosy vibe, and the most unreal pizza with a delicious base with the best kind of crust & great sauce. Friendly service as well!
By far one of my favorite pizzas in Cape Town, friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere! Will definitely be back for that delicious pizza. You can taste the quality of their ingredients, such a memorable eating experience!
Really a 3 score, my margherita lacked soul. It’s like the chef had his ‘gone fishing’ sign on the door and left his new apprentice in charge. The pictures I took of the pizza tells this exact story. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good pizza - but has so much potential to become great pizza.
The wine list is however amazing - there’s grape varietals on there that I’ve not heard of before.
The extra point is for the friendliest staff. From the waiters to the host to the manager himself. We were even offered a free dessert for the inconvenience caused with the lights being worked on when we arrived; we basically sat in the dark for about 20 min. I’m not a fan of deconstructed desserts, so the tiramisu was not my fave. But it’s the thought that counts and deserving of a point.
Had very high expectations and will need to give it another shot when the chef returns from his ‘fishing trip’.
Wow! I heard great things about the pizza and was not disappointed , had the burrata for starters and pizza for mains. Everything is so good including the pastas! One of the best pizzas I’ve eaten
So I happen to love all things Italian and let me just burrata never lets me down when it comes to pizza they’re dough it’s light and fluffy and they put just the right amount of sauce and cheese. A pizza worth trying is their signature pizza which is the burrata it’s they’re yummy pizza dough with mounts of burrata cheese and lots and lots of fresh basil and tomatoes
Delicious food. Excellent recommendations from Hilton, a most professional, friendly and efficient waiter. I had the gnocchi - small but super filling portion with amazing flavor. My partner had the pork shoulder pizza. Both dishes were superb. Nice easy vibe in a cool setting. Will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu.

I am always in the hunt for pizza places that make great Neapolitan pizzas
Burrata is definitely on the list
Pity I live in Johannesburg
I had a plain margarita, the measure of any pizza!
My wife had the Del Re which was a white pizza with mushrooms, truffle and Parma ham.
The dough is outstanding!!!
Service was good
Arancini well prepared( although would love to see the original Sicilian ones with tomato in)
Overall I walked away very satisfied with my experience!
I always love eating here! The food is delicious and fresh and not too fussy. Good homemade Italian. Lovely ambience. Good service. You will enjoy it!
Whilst wondering around the Old Biscuit Mill on Saturday we decided to forgo the extremely busy food market in lieu of the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of Burrata. The restaurant is completely unassuming, in fact at first glance it looks a bit like your run of the mill student hangout. The menu and service on the other hand- amazing! We were helped very quickly and the food did not take long either. Opting for a little bit of everything (the menu is so good that committing to one meal seems a bit boring) we went for the arancini with aioli, pizza bread with rosemary and the spicy lamb meatballs. The pizza bread is tasty but perhaps a little too cheesy. The arancini was very generously portioned and delicious with a light crunch, the meatballs were the resounding favorite. Perfectly seasoned. I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Amazing place to visit when you have the chance. They have many food stalls with communal tables, interesting local products and even vintage items to shop for!
Although it rained during my trip there, the place do have some sheltered areas for you to hide out for a bit. :)
Very vibrant market in Cape Town, awesome DJs.variety of food stalls and clothing.Go there take your time to walk around to see everything and support 🥰🙏✨#woodstock

Loved the atmosphere and variety of food on sale.
It was an actual, proper diverse crowd of locals and tourists and one of the few places I visited in CT that had a crowd that reflected the diversity of the country in a welcoming way.
A great way to spend your Sunday, fantastic music and food from all over the world at reasonable prices.
Plus independent fashion and craft stores if you’re in the mood to shop.
Would definitely add to your list of things to do during your visit to Cape Town.
After looking at the reviews, we decided to check this place out anyways. They were right, It seems most of action happens on Saturday, but since we don't prefer crowd we thought we would go during the week and then again on Saturday. During the week, we found just the restaurants and hi end shops. Yea, It wasn't all the flair, but we did get some good photos of the mountain. We went back on Saturday and there were people everywhere having a good time. There was a DJ, great food, drinks and vendors there selling all sorts of goodies.
Good place to have food..
There is a DJ that will let you dance during your lunch..
Good to visit
Some shops there is like leather, clothes and gifts
Normal hours there, 1.5 to 2
Lovely food stalls, some are hit and miss so try them all out.
I enjoyed the halal Korean food place that also does Boba. There’s a place that sells giant cupcakes, also a win for me. The oysters are so fresh and delicious, definitely yes. The falafel shawarma place at the entrance on the right is meh. The place on the right right at the end that does breakfast and curries and rice is also meh (so disappointing). There’s a place that does a veg dish and a meat dish near the oyster stall but in the first tent on the left side -their dhal was insanely good (Annie’s Cape Malay or something?) Also really enjoyed the pastries and fried food at one of the stalls on the right side, the sweetcorn fritters and mebos chutney were amazing.
The only thing that bothers me here is the music is way too loud because there’s a live DJ, but I would rather enjoy my food with a bit more quiet and the ability to have a conversation, esp at 10am.
Personnally the food made it for me! I enjoyed the Ghanaian jollof rice and plantain. Some cocktails were so gooood like amatropicana. You should definitely give it a try. The ambiance was lit! And some great spot to take cute pics. Obviously the only ick for me was finding places to seat and eat. It was kinda crowded. But overall I enjoyed it
Great food & drinks and awesome stores. Weekend vibes atmosphere
Finally went to the Old Biscuit Mill, and I can say I've been missing out. The prices, the vibe, and the experience was like no other.
It is similar to Mojo Market but with more grit and the old fashioned home bespoke vendors sharing their art be it food, clothing, farm produce etc.
I particularly enjoyed the dim sum stand (not sure of the name) they had great vegan options. The Sprung stand also had a very tasty vegan spring roll.
For the meat lovers there are quite a few lovely options too, this market is such a vibe don't sleep on it.
Having a delicious cup of coffee and watching the sun rise from my table outside...breakfast special includes this coffee. Great, friendly service! And you can purchase a range of olive oils, B-well mayonnaise, and preserves.
