First time visiting Bihari and it certainly did not disappoint. The food and atmosphere were really amazing. My mum and I ordered 2 dishes two share: Chicken Tikkka Masala (medium) and the Lamb Rogan Josh (hot) along with Garlic Naan. Both Currie dishes as well as the naan were absolutely delicious. I literally cannot wait to go back.

One of the best chicken kormas I’ve had in a while. Lovely atmosphere and really attentive staff.
I ordered the butter chicken curry on MrDelivery and wow I am blown away. The depth of the flavor and the spices that were used was out of this world.
I asked for hot. And I generally find with Cape Town places that hot is not actually hot but wow this was the perfect amount of heat. I would give this place a 5 but I’m giving it a 4 because I wish they had given me more rice. I cannot wait to actually visit them for a sit down. 😭😩
As part of the southern sun, there is plenty of parking and is easily accessible being just off the main road. Bihari has a warm atmosphere with plenty of mood lighting creating a cosy atmosphere. It can get quite loud at times, with plenty of noise coming from the kitchen. Service was excellent. We had a very friendly and attentive waiter. The food and drinks were served very quickly, granted the restaurant was quite empty this evening. Good variety of drinks. Nice selection of wines and good coffee too. Food was amazing! I had the lamb korma (hot) which I highly recommend. The meat was soft and the curry flavourful while having that Indian kick you'd expect and want from Indian cuisine. The same could be said about the fish (kingklip) curry. I have to say, I was disappointed in the chocolate volcano dessert. I was expecting a molten lava center but got a standard chocolate cake center instead. It was still very delicious, though.
My favorite indian restaurant in Cape Town. Food is always delicious, served piping hot, and tasty. The Garlic Naan is out of this world. A bit pricey but definitely worth the spend. Decor and interior is rich and authentic indian. Perfect for family dinners, date nights and special occasions.
Bihari has a warm atmosphere and the service is sharp. The menu offers a wide variety but in my experience it is best to avoid ordering anything as mild, as it actually lacks flavour, not just kick. Personal favourites are the Fish Tikka and Chicken Breyani but you cant go wrong ordering any of their more popular dishes.
Best Indian restaurant in South Africa. One of the few to feature “Indian hot” as an option. Try the Gosht Sagwala as something different or ask for your Biryani to be made wet.
Went there in 2016 and yesterday again,the best Indian food in Cape Town!!!Will definitely go again when again in Cape Town as everything is amazing from the food to the service.
Good ambience...great food...their onion bhaji and pakora are not that great, but their bhuna ghosht, pineapple raita, garlic naan with tadka dal were too good...even their chicken samosa was great...overall good Indian experience...service was fast....
Had a team lunch here and it was lovely. Food was really tasty and portions are generous. Even the starters are very generous. Great vegetarian options too.
This is my first time back in years. The food is still tasty and the service is good. It was a great venue for a family birthday party. They aren't the cheapest though. Similar to Bukhari. The curry comes with rice only and you have to order the naan or rooti separately. The venue is a little dark but the lava cake was delicious 😋
Perfectly spiced, gorgeously flavourful Indian cuisine. We have had a bunch of misses with mediocre curry joints over the last year in Cape Town, but I am very glad to say that Bihari is not on that list. The food wasn't just good, it was surprisingly good. And damnit, I love good foodie suprise.
Banter with our waiter, Yogi, was good fun, and his recommendations were delicious.
The restaurant, as a venue, is fine. There's a couple of nice touches to add a bit of India and the lighting is better than many. In the end, though, it is a restaurant in a hotel. But that doesn't matter much because, who cares if the food is this good.

Trust who has such an amazing personality. He was attentive and friendly. He is a great asset to the restaurant. I asked to meet the chef to compliment him on his delicious dishes. He was so friendly and appreciative of our feedback. If you're a lover of Indian cuisine Bihari is definitely a place to try.

Bihari provided a large variety of flavourful, indian-inspired dishes that exceeded my expectations. All the dishes were served warm with a reasonable waiting time. The service provided by staff was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable for a casual dinner out with family. The paneer dishes served here are among the best I've tasted till date. There is also an array of deserts such as pistachio kulfi ice-cream which I'd highly recommend. Had an overall lovely dining experience at this establishment.

Good experience at this establishment. Food a bit too spicey and creamy for me but that's my experience tonight. Waiter is always in hurry and kinda rushed us to finish saying kitchen is closing

Food, all of it, was incredibly good, flavourful.
The atmosphere was warmer, more welcoming than I recall from previous visits (several years ago).
A very charming and polite man promptly served me excellent food and wine. I had the paneer tikka and it was fantastic and then a Kadai, also amazing. What more could you ask for in a restaurant?
