Super friendly staff , love the decor , it's right down the road from me , so this place will become a regular breakfast stop for me on my way to work . Love the coffee as well. And the scrambled egg with salmon trout bagel is a winner!!!!

The bagels were on point. Had the cream cheese and the salmon trout bagels on sesame seed bagel. Also had freshly squeezed orange juice. Will come back when in this neighborhood.

Those cruffins are to die for!! Coffee is great!! Good place to grab a quick bite!! We did try the bagels but more than that we prefer the cruffins!! Highly recommended. Seating is limited, and those cruffins do get sold out!!

Arguably the best bagels in the world... consistently absolutely delicious and that goes for all fillings and all bagel types. If you are a fan of the bagel you need to come here. (Ps this is lunch for me religiously every Wednesday ... I have to restrict myself to that)

I walked in a little bit peckish after just having eaten and I was greeted by the man behind the counter as if we were old friends and one of his patrons (who seem to adore the place) I was already taken with it (because let’s face it service these days is nonexistent in most establishments) both of them recommended to me that I try the famous chocolate cheesecake if I am not in the mood for another meal and to my utter delight when I got home and snacked on it it was one of the most blissful taste bad experiences and I am a harsh cheesecake critic! I hope to be back soon for a bagel or three!

Really great place, cozy and super friendly service. Shoutout to Peter who helped me last week. I had the Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake (🤤) and a cafe mocha, and it absolutely banged. What a combo. Probably the best chocolate cheesecake I’ve eaten, to date.

A Sunday morning must. The vibe is great with a definite community feel. Feels like everyone is here picking up breakfast bagels and a cup of coffee before getting their day started. The bagels are super tasty and the service is friendly and fast. Awesome bagel shop (in that sense, ‘New York’, yes) but with and African flair 😉😎👍

Hands down the best bagel spot in all of Cape Town! The extensive array of bagel choices is mind-boggling – from the NYB Classic „the Reuben“ and one with salmon and scrambled eggs. Each one was exceptionally delicious. Also the cheesecake is super delicious!The prices are very reasonable too. We'll definitely be coming back!"

I had heard about the interesting food stores opening in District Six and decided it was time for a visit. An exciting exploration followed, from Charlie’s bakery which is hard enough to resist and the wonderful aromas that wafted out of the Lebanese Bakery. On to the New York Bagel which was really my goal. I had the most delicious fresh Bagel filled with Smoked Salmon Trout, Red onion, Cream cheese and tomato. I had to squeeze in a slice of the Cheese cake which was absolutely delicious.

What a deliciously delightful Cafe! Most friendly cashier and staff. Full of smiles. Lovely baked goods to look at and the sourdough sandwich was the best ever! The latte and hut chocolate was to die for!
