We have found our happy place in Cape Town. Johan you made us feel so special and it's the small things in life that count and somehow you just get that. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, delicious food , best music and trendy vibe. If I had to sum it all up in just one word , that word would be ......WONDERFUL
A very cosy setting on the fringes of the famous Bo-Kaap with excellent service and really good food. I can recommend the famous chicken pot pie and the Naked Mexican draft beer.
A real hidden gem! Friendly waitstaff and the best carrot cake you will ever sink your teeth into. They use fresh ingredients to create truly beautiful and delicious food. Lovely cafe feel to the place... yummy quiche. A great place to meet family friends and work colleagues for a cup of tea and a lovely bite.
Been here twice, and all the food everyone has had has been absolutely amazing (including pizza, pasta, burger and bobotie). Location is cosy when it's cold, yet lovely when the weather is better.
great little spot for breakfast, however the food did take a while to come out. Other than that the food was good and service great, manager attentive to all the tables.
Full marks for this wonderful , eclectic, fun and delicious restaurant. I loved everything about this visit- the staff were gracious and took the time to explain the menu to us, the setting is great and adorably quaint and the food was super! We tried the quiche - mine was the salmon and blue cheese and Mike had the butternut flavor. I preferred his to be honest, finding mine just a little too tangy. We had tea and coffee with a shared slice of almond tart. So amazing I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I have been twice, once for coffee and something, second time quiche, neither time was the food amazing but we love the drinks and the atmosphere so much we will still go back for more french vibes!
Very nice little hidden away gem. The food is delicious and fresh, the staff are great and the overall casual atmosphere makes you feel like you have popped into one of your local spots to grab a coffee.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and good food. Simple and tasty. Had a chicken pie that tasted of home. Will visit again. Enormous cake portions! Simply THE BEST carrot walnut cake ever! They should franchise the cake!
Quaint place with admirable decor. I like that they’re open til late and find that it’s a fantastic spot for a late-night piece of cake, hot chocolate, and conversation with friends.
If, like me you work in the CBD and surrounds, chances are that the daily commute to the suburbs is about as enjoyable as watching paint drying. Well, let me start by saying that there is an alternative and a tasty one mind you.
Enter the Cape Quarter. There really is so much to do in this quaint part of town whatever your vice. We decided to have a bite to eat at Le Petite Tarte (The small tart). The décor is eclectic with a mixture of French café culture meets the Mad Hatters tea party, I loved in but then again my taste has been described as slightly whimsical at best.
• We started the evening with Jalapeno Chilli poppers, always a sure winner; I couldn’t believe the size of the peppers, goodness! They we juicy and filled with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon, all the essential food groups.
• We decided to get stuck into the mains in order to leave some room for the desserts we’d been told were amazing. I ordered the Lamb Shank with veggies which was a generous portion, nicely basted.
• Then there was the Sriracha basted Picanha also with veggies which looked amazing and received two thumbs up.
• Next was the Pot Roasted Chicken Pie with vegetables and a side salad. This portion was very generous and tasty.
• Last but not least was the Waldorf salad.
We regrouped after dinner soaking in the ambience eager to get stuck into our dessert.
• There was the Flourless Dark Chocolate and Brazil nut cake, lovely, rich and oh so delicious.
• Next was the Baked Cheese Cake with mixed berry coulis
• Lemon Meringue is always a firm favourite and theirs comes very highly rated
• Last and most certainly not least was the Carrot & Walnut Cake. This was exceptional and the portion was massive, easily shared.
This venue, like the food is simple and unpretentious. Uncomplicated, but done well. So, whether you feel like a slab of cake and some good coffee or like grabbing a quick bite before you brave the traffic and make your way home, you won’t be disappointed.
Not your traditional coffee shop, but a cute and quaint little place in the city centre. The restaurant offers great options of food and drinks all day everyday. Be it for a quick coffee and pie for breakfast or a feast dinner. I love the tea options available in this place, and the pairing of tea and tart is absolutely a must try! The cafe is carefully decorated with cute porcelains, there's a very chilled vibe and it's perfect for families and friends encounters. What a great place. Experiencing a little bit of Paris in Cape Town was amazing. The service was great. Always ready to assist. Food portions was great. Really filling. This was with a deal. The service was no different from my observations with regards to ppl having deals or no deals. Well done!!!
Very cute cafe with friendly service and good breakfast. Impressive selection of cakes.
Tasty breakfast place with a great little outside veranda. Try the pancakes!
Cannot rave highly enough of this place! Went for brunch with my family on my birthday. Service was stellar and food was extremely fresh and well-prepared! The ladies who worked here during my visit were TOP-NOTCH connoisseurs of hospitality! Kudos to the chef!
This turned out to be one of the shockingly best surprised on the trip. It was my 1st african dish. The staff walked me through the different choices and the owner made sure we felt like family. Great menu selections and a wonderful location.
After visiting on the off chance this morning our breakfast was lovely. The flapjacks and bacon were out so good I considered ordering another round! Looks like a really well stocked bar and wines for lunches too.
I go there just about every time I want to meet someone for lunch.
The owners are hands-on and always checking to see if you are happy.
Their menu varies from day to day with yummy treats and meals
The decor is shabby chic and gives a welcoming ambience.
La petite Tarte is my favourite place.
A little gem in the bustling neighbourhood of Cape Quarter, Greenpoint. Serving delicious hearty breakfasts with a gourmet teas, coffees and cakes, they also have a selection of hearty meals that reflect the interesting mix of Cape culture. Fantastic food with the best ambience both inside and outside on the patio under the trees. My favorite place to do work and watch the world go by. Best owner and staff that always do their utmost to serve you with a five star experience and make you feel right at home!

Try their almond cake and their lunch special. Excellent food for a work day in that area of Cape Town. Superb service. A bit expensive but it is worth it. Also their selection of teas is more than the average and rather delectable.
