We enjoyed our meal and service. Really enjoyed the Tia Maria pasta. It was my first time tasting sushi, and it was delicious, but my guest said it was too salty (I wouldn't know, as it was my first try). I've officially joined the sushi gang😆

My family and I really enjoyed our experience here at Papachinos on Sunday afternoon. We really enjoyed the variety of the food. For starters we had the Rock Tempura Prawn sushi and it was really good. My wife and I had 2 different burgers for our main course and what we really appreciated was the smoked flavor of the home made beef patties. The service was very good from our waitresses Melody and Abigail and what really stood out to me was the fact that the restaurant has 2 kitchens. 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs and this makes a massive impact on the service of the restaurant, it was efficient and of very high quality. The restaurant also has a big play area for the kids and there are attendants that help supervise the children as well and that is excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant to those who have families.

Great place for an Outing both afternoon and Evening. Set up was Great. Amazing food 1 issue was that we had sat for 15-20min before out Server attended us & until we called any waiter to assist us but besides that. I love how patient and Accommodating Melody our Waitress was.

Absolutely amazing, the food was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very well looked after establishment, food on the expensive side but then again..YOU PAY FOR QUALITY. Awesome job guys.

My most favorite place to relax and enjoy good food and company! Waiters are professional and so is their managers. The atmosphere is wonderful. My kids enjoy the menu and play area. Ample parking and there is wheelchair access. Overall I am a very happy customer 😊

If you're tired of boring places to take your kids, Papachino's is the answer. <br/>I love how there's enough entertainment for the kids. It's a spacious restaurant. <br/>The Food is good, I always visit the place for their nachos and cocktails.

It is a very pleasing atmosphere to hang out with friends. The Focaccia is very nice, while the pizza is average at best.<br/>Expected much more, especially for the price of the food.

Next time I will try the sushi, it looked so amazing.<br/><br/>I have eaten here 4-5 times in the past year, never had a bad meal, always a good experience. One of the BEST restaurants i have been too. Amazing friendly staff. A very big menu there’s bound to be something you like and the food is delicious, and well prepared. Great value for money and if you have kids they have a wonderful play area with staff watching the kids constantly. Awesome place I’d recommend everyone to try this place out.

Never disappointed when I visit Papachinos Boksburg. The food is always amazing no matter what you order, the service is great and waiters are very friendly. Their Rocky Road dessert is to die for! Definitely give it a try. Love this place.

What a beautiful place, convenient and child friendly, unfortunately the service left much to be desired and my steak was a complete disappointment. I thought that I should give a second chance but unfortunately the second time around was no better, the waitresses completely ignored us....and when they realized we only having drinks they became somewhat dismissive...will not be going back.☹️

Best food I've ever had, the portions are enormous. You're insane to not try this place out. I had the biggest plate of Alfredo, took me two days to finish, my family had the lamb cutlets, lamb shank and grilled chicken, boy were their meals delicious. The kids play area is like a small amusement park, my nephew had so much fun. I cannot wait to go back.

The service was great. Our waiter explained to us all we needed to know. We had a half and half pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Great for dining out as a couple or out as a family as there's a kids play area and kids can make their own pizzas. Very friendly staff

Anniversary dinner was amazing! We don't have kids so we were lucky enough to sit upstairs. Great staff and delicious food. Our waiter was attentive and we really had a memorable evening.

This place is always packed, which is understandable as the decor is stunning and the play area looks awesome. I mainly go there for the insanely great cocktails, as they are teally not stingy on alcohol when they make them. Food is good, pricing is fair if you are not on a budget.

From the first time my family and I visited Papachinos in Boksburg, and every time since then we have been astounded by their ambience, friendly staff and awesome food.<br/>Everything we have ordered, from wraps, to burgers to pizza and pasta have been great, and not stingy with portions either.<br/>But... (and this really deserves a dramatic pause)... I will say with confidence that I have never had a better fillet anywhere else: I normally order the fillet medium-rare, with the rock-salt, mustard seed and cracked pepper option with wood oven roasted veggies. The stake melts in my mouth, and the flavour is heaven. <br/>It is cooked perfect every time, and the flavour is just enough to compliment the steak, but not too much so I can still taste the fresh steak flavour.<br/>I hear same from my wife and son also after their meals every time.

As today is a public holiday and all, Omphemetse Mafubelu and I decided to spoil ourselves to breakfast. We chose Papachinos Sunward park as a venue for this. When we arrived at the restaurant there was ample parking, and we were welcomed and ushered to our table.<br/>I had the mango smoothie (divine)to drink and my wife had the cappuccino and they were generous with the cream.<br/>To eat I ordered the Parisienne off the menu and it was amazingly delicious. My wife ordered the salmone which she thoroughly enjoyed.<br/>Our waiter Alfred was a very good host, checked on us if we were happy with our drinks and meal.<br/>We enjoyed our meals a will definitely return very soon.

The menu is fantastic and exciting.... Something for everyone. We ordered breakfast for a few hungry teenagers and no one left hungry or dissatisfied. Wonderful service and definitely value for money.

I honestly only have good things to say about this particular Papachinos. Was actually my second visit. I played it safe and ordered the same meal as I had the first time .I mean if it's good , "order it twice 😂" just remixed it a bit there 😉. I love everything thing about it , everything 📡| You should definitely try out the meal I ordered, can use my pic as reference 😊

What a pathetic place. Vernon,the owner, does not have a clue how to run a restaurant. Four of us were here for supper and two of us got our food, finished our meal, had to complain to two people including Vernon before the other two got their food. How does a substandard place keep in business and how does the franchisor allow the brand to get so bad. Never again.

I have been there a few times and always enjoy my food. The prices are good and you always get a big portion. I would recommend their steak, pizza and believe it or not - sushi. Even when they are busy the food is still good.

The Fourways branch is FAR better than this one!<br/>The service here is slow and lax. We were a big table of adults and children here for my goddaughter's 9th birthday - we had to find a waiter to order drinks and food. <br/>The waiter brought me the wrong burger to begin with, and then, when it came, my instruction for a well-done patty had been ignored. It was a pulled pork and mozzarella topped burger which somehow managed to be bland! To be fair, my friends enjoyed their burger and pasta. <br/><br/>The manager stood leaning against the wall near our table staring into space the entire time, and not once came over to check that things were ok. <br/>We eat out a *lot* and will *never* come back here again. This was a thoroughly disappointing meal. <br/>

The worst experience ever from service to food, we  firstly waited close to an hour to be seated, waiters were lethargic, and to make matters worse I found an elastic in my food, i alerted the management which included the "senior manager" Vernon who was arrogant and uninterested in his response , no willing to listen and not even apologetic in the slightest. I previously gave this establishment a 4 star, however on my visit on the 3rd of July, the service was absolutely appalling.<br/><br/>My date was given a sweet hot chocolate that he simply could not drink. The waiter was not moved at all.<br/>We had menus at our tables for over 15mins with waiters flat out ignoring our waves and request for assistance. Christo, the manager, didn’t even flinch as we narrated our story. I’m so disappointed.<br/><br/>I’ve been to other franchises that have they their service together. As a person that works in Customer Service, this was purely shocking and disappointing.<br/><br/>This is not a rant but a call for establishments to start respecting the customer and their money, because Papachino’s has lost mine!

What a great all round restaurant! I love the classical style and decor, modern with a touch of rusticness.<br/><br/>I wouldn't usually order Sushi from an "Italian" style restaurant, but was really craving Sushi, I was certainly not dissapointed, the portioning and flavors were perfect.<br/><br/>The lemon chicken and pasta dish was great too - Lemon basted grilled chicken fillets on top of a rich and creamy flavored pasta. I find however if you cook chicken on a gas grill, a lot of the gas flavor transfers over to the meat, I'm not saying it was terrible however, I just wouldn't order it again unless they pan fry it instead. Another major plus for me, they serve craft beer! This is fantastic as the craft beer industry is booming right now.<br/><br/>I love how this place caters for kids so well, its almost as if they interviewed a bunch of children and asked them what their favorite dishes are. Being a family orientated restaurant keeps this place quite busy at all times. I was initially concerned about the noise, which is what to be expected from a place with a massive kids area, but the restaurant was designed so well that the play area is placed mostly behind the building. reducing the majority of the noise. Some great planning right there! <br/><br/>There is one complaint I have, Managers at this restaurant are not needed.. They dont really serve a purpose. they don't even greet when arriving or leaving. The thin guy at reception desk literally just stood beside me when we were leaving and didn't say a word. Additionally he smelt so terrible because he just smoked a cigarette I almost gagged. Restaurants need be be more attentive to who manages their front line. This is after all the first person a new customer sees. For this reason I've given this restaurant a lower rating than I would have liked to

Food was really good , great environment and really excellent if you have children they literally disappear until food is served only down side is service is a little slow think they need a few more waiters .

We probably frequent Papachinos at least every 2 weeks and surprisingly i hadn't reviewed them yet, so here goes.<br/><br/>Decor, ambiance and overall atmosphere are outstanding, the vintage aviation/ cafe racer vibe throughout the massive establishment creates a really nice atmosphere, they have various sections which can accommodate anything from a romantic date to a party of 20 people, in either an intimate space, large dining areas inside or outside surrounded my the beautiful palm trees preserved from the old La Campana restaurant which used to take up residence on these grounds (<br/>The welcoming faces of Robby and Martin are still here too, who must be complimented on their staff and the training they have been given, service is very seldom anything but outstanding). Being a smoker there are also ample sections which are separated from the main restaurant, both upstairs and down that are open and pleasant to be in.Kids are kept entertained with a massive outside play area, coin guzzling rides or an inside pizza/waffle making station and we are seldom pestered by bored kids.<br/><br/>Right, so onto the food, which is mostly cafe style grub with a twist, portion sizes are more than generous, Having been here for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner it is quite impressive how they do all three courses so well and with many unique choices. The standouts for me are the Burgers and Pizza's. although this would be considered common fare, they are that good that they deserve a mention. there are a few beers available on tap and an extensive cocktail menu makes this multi faceted restaurant ideal for Friday sundowners.<br/><br/>Overall a great place to go for a variety of occasions, or no occasion at all. It comes highly recommended!

Today was a family birthday breakfast and everyone attending has children, so we came through to try this restaurant. It really is a child friendly restaurant and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. There was ample entertainment to keep the children active and stimulated. <br/>On arrival I was impressed by the size of this purpose built restaurant complex. They have a large parking lot with their own security guards. The decor and appointment of the interior shows that a lot of creativity & effort and thought has gone into it. The double volume building is really spacious and the tables are well spread out. <br/><br/>The service we received was good and the staff were very polite and respectful. The waiter took our large tables order perfectly and the dishes came out exactly as ordered. <br/><br/>The breakfast menu had a number of options that are not your usual, same old same old, breakfast dishes. <br/>My wife ordered an omelette with ham, cheese & tomato and I ordered their big Grande breakfast with eggs, Cambridge sausage, bacon, tomato, onions and mushrooms. <br/>The omelette was huge and to much to finish. Unfortunately it was a bit too brown on top and was a little dry and over cooked. It had plenty of fillings. <br/>The Grande breakfast looked good on the plate but the toast was ice cold, the eggs dry and over cooked and the halloumi as thin as a potato crisp. I was a bit disappointed and as it was my birthday even more so. <br/>I felt the food did not reflect the huge amount of effort put into the look & feel of the restaurant. <br/>The overall experience of the entire restaurant is very nice and impressive but my food didn't quite match the effort and ambiance of the holistic setting. <br/><br/>I will go back again, especially for my daughter, and for the great atmosphere but I hope my next menu option is more impressive.

Tried the Casablanca pizza which has a lamb topping. There was very little lamb though, maybe a small little sliver every 2nd slice. In general the pizza was tasty but the toppings were too little.

Been here several times now.<br/><br/>This is not just a restaurant... this is a full family experience catering for everyone whether you are young or old!<br/><br/>The decor in the restaurant works well with the menu presented and there's definitely nothing "PLAIN JANE" about this place. <br/><br/>Every meal during the 5 or six visits over the last six months was brilliantly presented and tasted even better than it looked!<br/><br/>The staff is well trained and service is spot on. You always end up over tipping as it just feels like the right thing to do.<br/><br/>If you haven't been here... this is one of the restaurant Jewels of the east!<br/> <br/><br/>Warning.... Be sure to book as it is usually packed.

Ok flew in from Cape Town early Sunday morning and needed a bite to eat!  My favourite Casa was closed so drove past Papachinos.  Heads up make a booking it was packed, still I did not wait for more than 15 min and were promptly seated. The rest of the service were so so , not bad considering 500+ people seated for lunch!We had pita bread, some chicken dish, pasta and a seafood pan with calamari and prawns.  None of the dishes were exceptional, not bad just ok.......I did feel that they are very expensive for a plain Jane family restaurant !!!

What a great restaurant! From the decor down to the food our evening was spot on. I opted for a pizza, a Quattro and it was so good, nice base and quality ingredients! The others at the table opted for pastas which were equally as good. Our waitress Promise was so attentive and had such a comedic personality which made the evening even more enjoyable!

Went to Papachinos Boksburg for breakfast this morning. We were a party of 4. 3 meals arrived at the same time. The fourth one didn't. After asking about it after waiting for 10 minutes the manager show up with it. The excuse was that there was a problem with the eggs. In this whole process the waiter wasn't anywhere to be found. By this time the meal was cold and the steak was over cooked. This is not the standard I expect from Papachinos.

With the best cheescake in South Africa what more needs to be said about this awesome place. Papachinos rates very high in the food dept and never seems to disappoint. With awesome decor and friendly staff this place is a regular dinner/lunch spot. Well worth a visit or ten.

What a excellent place , I have been there twice and I must say they do not disappoint! . The choices on the menu is excellent , both time I have been there a have tried something new and it was amazing.. Milkshakes is really good. Its a homely rustic feel to the place. will recommend to any one a must try .

After arriving without a reservation, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly manager to greet us at the door! A plan was made and a table quickly arranged for us! Tentative waiter by the name of Chammy! Food was a bit slow to come out, but understandable with being so busy! I would however like to compliment Papachinos on their baby changing facilities, it is by far the best I've seen in any restaurant. Will defiantly be back.

I wanted to go somewhere new to celebrate a special occasion and after reading all the reviews decided Papachinos was the choice ... I was not disappointed! This restaurant is amazing The food is delicious and well portioned Even though they were crazy busy our food was made promptly and to specification The drinks were a bit delayed but stands to reason as the bar was busy Kiddies play area is spacious and has something for every age group I will definitely be back and recommend this place to all looking for a relaxing meal and awesome service Thank you again :)

Papachinos offers just the solution for a restaurant for parents who are looking to enjoy their meals in peace while their children play lol. Just kidding, but on a more serious note, Papachinos is such a breath of fresh air. If you want a family friendly restaurant which offers a wide ranging menu to cater for all palates then this is the right place. I have been to the original branch in Fourways but this time I went to the Boksburg branch.

Must say we had an amazing time. <br/>Food was great and portions was quit large <br/>If I can give one suggestion it will be to get a few more waiters to assist as our water just could not keep up as he had quite a few tables to serve with 6+ people per table. <br/>But he still did a great job<br/>

I'm not overly impressed with this place. The restaurant area is huge and is well decorated. The staff and management are very friendly and are quick to assist. The food on the other hand is extremely bland. I had the mussels starter which was very floury. For mains I had the calamari salad which was terrible - do not order this. This restaurant has great potential if they give their food some attention.

How disappointing!! Been here 3 times now, and service have been shocking and food mediocre to say the least. At these prices there are much better options.

A stunning family resturant catered for kids (Spur on steroids) with good food and portions. Been twice and wouldn't recommend cocktails other than strawberry daiquiri, with Sunday lunch bookings nothing later than 12:00 as they close 16:00 and don't want to be rushed or shoveled along. Service satisfactory although Sunday 25 October a delay in our one main meal ordered whilst the rest of the food arrived together.

20.10.2015 I was absolutely impressed with this branch over the weekend. Firstly props to them for the amazing setup. The restaurant is huge. It's nice and open and more than enough space for all the kiddies parties and even adult celebrations being held here. They have a section for kids to make their own pizzas and waffles too and don't forget the kiddies play areas.<br/><br/>Management and staff were friendly and welcoming and our waitress Melody was a star. There menu is also huge so if someone can't find something to eat then there is something wrong with them. In the end we decided to order the 3 tenors (fillet medallions individually topped with a trio of sauce), the chicken parmesano ( chicken breasts with napoletana sauce mozzarella and baked in the oven) and the new signature pulled pork flatbreads.<br/>Well all I can say is we had very full and ery satisfied tummies.<br/><br/>My pork was the juiciest and tender I have had in a while combined with the coleslaw and flatbread was definitely a winner.<br/><br/>My sister loved her fillet and she couldn't stop raving about it as she asked for blue cheese sauce and something else on it.<br/><br/>My mom enjoyed her chicken and veg too, but the mozzarella does get a bit stringy to cut after a while.<br/><br/>For drinks we had a cappuccino which was piping hot. The sundowner (OJ, vodka peach schnapps and grenadine) very refreshing and definitely a summer drink. I had the melktert shake. Sadly I was very disappointed on this one as it tasted like milk with some cookies crumbed into it. There was no melktert taste at all (so m&b yours still rocks) I ended up sending it back as it just spoilt my good food.<br/><br/>We were stuffed but decided to share a dessert and ordered the cheesecake.<br/><br/>Very nice and a huge portion so sharing was no issue. I took the family and celebrated my birthday lunch. We sat there for a good few hours munching down on amazing food. Everyone walked out of there with takeaways. For the portion sizes the prices are fantastic we had so much food leftover to take home. We couldn't resist having dessert. Honestly hands down one of the best brownies I've ever had. I will happily keep going back if they continue with great food, great prices and great service. We all left happy and fed.

Very disappointing. Waited an hour for our breakfast. And we were told it was due to the internet being down????? Before getting here, we receive a call to say no split bills and no sharing????

Truly pleased to have taken the chance to eat there, by far the best burger I have ever had. If you ever go please give the Al Capone and the Bonny and Clyde burgers a try.

Even though we don't have children we decided to give Papachinos a try. The menu is vast and there are some great choices. Our waiter was tentative and brought our drinks quickly. We had asked our waiter to please bring our food as soon it was ready but unfortunately all our meals came luke warm to cold. I had the Mediterranean wrap which was ice cold on arrival, all other similar wraps that I have had have always come warm so im not sure if it sat on the pass for too long. The pizzas were all luke warm and were sent back to be reheated. The food was good just cold.

Great family restaurant, that's perfect for the kids, with a big outside play area keeping them entertained! Italian cuisine is perfection from their pizzas and pastas to their salads and deserts! My biggest problem with this restaurant is the service, besides waiting for long periods for the meal, the waiters are moody and dull. - this has been the case several times.

We had a good time! The food was good, service was fair but quite slow. Salad was nice and fresh. Feta cheese was tasteless. I didn't like the marinade on the chicken pizza. The restaurant had a lovely, child friendly vibe.

Extremely disappointed. Starters never arrived at the same time. Starters were cold (snails), but ate it anyway. ....but.... had to send food back because it was cold....the food rates around 4 out of 10. It could be the service that inflanced my taste buds. Hair found in food.... the ambient sound and accustics is terriable just constant over bearing noise.....Very dissatisfied given the effort that was put into the design which when you enter sets the expectation that this will be good...the prices being charged and the poor service and overall experience. ...this is a zero....avoid it...try somewhere else...your palate will thank you....

Food was ice cold when it got to the table and the restaurant wasn't even full. Service overall is terrible and slow and staff not well trained. I was looking forward to it but left very disappointed.

The melktart milkshake is delicious. The waiter is diligent. I like the flag feature which shows how the meat is prepared. We had a big order for 6 people and in less than 35 minutes we were all served. The ambience is classical and laid back. There's a huge play station for the kids to have a blast. My birthday is bliss

I'm so happy that a place like this finally opened in Boksburg! The type of setting where you can lunch with family and friends or coffee and blog alone. The rustic, urban style is wonderful and the food is great too! It's busy but the tables are spaced so it's not crowded which makes for a great atmosphere. The kids play area is nothing short of amazing. Will definitely be going back! *Just a heads up - they don't have wifi, although it says that they do.

First time here will definitely be here more! Service was stunning thanks to the managers and our waitress Promise. Food was amazing! A must try

Papachinos Excellent food but Shocking service. The atmosphere of the restaurant I really enjoy is has a wonderful play area for kids and a lovely outside sitting area the menu has a huge variety of foods. I had the Chicken Breasts with Tatiki and a side salad and it was great! The chicken breasts were grilled to perfection and the rest of the family enjoy there meals! Only downside was all the meals were brought at different times and it took 1hr and 15min for our food.

Extremely disappointed with this restaurant!! Seeing as it is a new restaurant around the sunward park area we thought it would be a good experience but i was sadly mistaken. The food was of very poor quality and not its usual standard as I have been the the papachinos in fourways which was far better. Myself, my girlfriend and her mother all had pizzas and they were all bland and tasted reheated. The service was also not great and the seating arrangements are not ideal. Will not be returning to this branch in a hurry.

Not as good as i thought it would be. The decor is quite nice but it's what is on the plate that matters. Food mediocre for the prices and portions a bit dainty for dinner service until you order cake as a dessert and then a ridiculous slice of wet undercooked cake arrives. The filter coffee was unbearably strong even after asking for extra milk. Smokers exit onto a balcony via a door directly off the dinning area which means we kept getting blasted with cold air. <br/>Won't be rushing back in a hurry.<br/><br/>

The play area is great as well as the child minders. The food is quite good too. Those are the only positives though. The service is slow. They also don't do split bills which is a pain when going in a large group. The managers are less than great. Our first time we decided to just go and see if we get a table. The manager working that night was quite rude. We turned around and went to Spur instead. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 9:30 and we're told that most of the tables were booked but we still got a table. Walking past the booked tables, most of the sign were for bookings between 11:00 and 12:00, seems like a wast to not have those tables available for breakfast.<br/>It's a beautiful place with a lot of potential is only it was manages better

I was not impressed what so ever. I ordered the lamb wrap which tasted like absolutely nothing and my sister ordered the pulled pork flat bread which was cold and when we sent it back to reheat it came back even colder than before. The service was pathetic to say the least we had to shout to get our waitresses attention. When we arrived we had to wait 25 mins just for menus because there weren't enough. I will not be going back I was extremely disappointed which is a shame as I have been to the one in fourways which was a wonderful experience.
