Ons was vanaand vir die eerste maal by Hooked Restaurant. Hierdie was verseker die eerste van nog baie besoeke. Die kos was heerlik voorberei en die diens van die kelner puik. Ek beveel enigiemand aan hom hierdie plek te besoek.
Third visit and loved the food.Absolutely worth it, value for money, quick service, everything was fresh and a top notch waiter the waiter that served us was really friendly. The roll with the jam and the sauce that was served with it was divine. Will be back soon for that fish and stirfry. Keep it up team.
Hubby and I were looking for some good seafood after all the Christmas meat. We decided to try Hooked and we were not disappointed. The food was so fresh and tasty. I couldn't even contain myself before taking a pic. The bread you get before your meal is freshly baked and tastes amazing. You get service with a smile and we didn't wait long for our food. Just one hiccup, I would have wanted more saucy prawns, but that's a personal preference.
Amazingly hooked serves real butter not Margerine blends with the bread, and surprisingly the grilling sauce doesn’t taste of Margy wargy either. Thank you hooked. It’s like ocean basket used to be when they were fresh and tasty.
Amazingly flavourfull food. Friendly staff. Been here 4 times already and will def recommend above ocean basket. Much better taste in food and flavor.
Only reason I do not ever give full points is that there is always room for improvement but this take away I ordered was a great experience. Firstly, the brittle/crispy Hake batter was a real surprise and delight to have (took the platter for one) and the prawns were so delivcate and softly prepared it melted in my mouth.
I ordered for myself and three colleagues and there were only compliments. I have only one little problem with my order, the half/half chips and rice all came out as just chips but again, the triple cooked thick cut chips was amazing so I don't have a problem with that.

What a delightful experience! Hooked is the place to get all your “ off the menu must haves”. This was my 3rd time dining here. Their Chowder is a must have! Today I had their fish and veggies and it was great! One time I came only to have of their complimentary freshly baked bread! The waiters are always friendly and serves to please!
Well we haven’t had such a tasty meal in ages!! This was our first visit to Hooked.

Visited hooked today and I was impressed. The food was really tasty and well priced. The waiter (marvern) was friendly and attentive. Food didn't take long and he checked up on us a few times. Will definitely be back! :-)
Tried this new place in Tygervalley since Ocean Basket is closed.
I was so impressed by the prices, much cheaper than Ocean Basket. We were seated quite quick.
I ordered the hake and veggies, but when the food arrived it was served with chips and rice. The waiter said the veg was off so he decided to bring me the chips and rice.
I feel like the waiter could have asked me if I wanted something else. Since I'm eating a paleo based diet I can't have chips or rice. I would've ordered something else.
I will definitely be back though, because of the good prices and the fish was really, really good!

Awesome service, great food. We had fresh baked bread when we got there with a selection of condiments, butter and apricot jam which was heaven. Platter for one followed with line fish, mussels, calamari, rice and chips. The food was great!! Then came the dessert, malva pudding with a choice between custard or ice-cream... that was really the cherry on the cake. I would definitely go back🤗👌especially with the warm friendly atmosphere!!
Really good experience. Fresh food with friendly and efficient staff. Didn't have to wait long for our food and even the snack bread provided was fresh. Our waiter Mike took good care of us. One of the best food experiences I have had in quite a while. Thanks guys.
Food was fresh and amazing at competitive prices, ambience can use a little work, service was good except for an incident that happened that almost made us leave. Upon arrival we were seated at a dirty table. After a couple of minutes, a paper cloth was thrown on the table over our belongings and soon after the bread arrived. Eventually we had to clean and neaten the table ourselves due to the lack of service for at least 8 minutes. After confronting the waiter, she got very stubborn about her poor sevice and gave no apology. Once we requested a new waiter, the service level went up and everything was professional from there on.
Had a late lunch here with my dad. R109 for their Fish & Calamari. This was the "half-chips, half-rice" portion 😂. Two pieces of fish and about two handfuls of calamari. The photo doesn't do it justice! It's definitely bigger in person. Will definitely be eating here again 😉 PS: the store must be in association with Ocean Basket, as the vibe, menu and food are all of equal quality. Plus incredibly friendly staff from beginning till end.

Having our favourite dish today, the famous fish and ships. But it was a disappointment, the fish wasn't fresh it had scales on it and over done. However the hot chips was good.
Also please work on presentation.

My family and I usually order online from Hooked. Today we had some of the famous fish 'n chips. It was delicious as always. But I have to say, the thing that is in a class of its own is the rolls. Oh my, those beautiful buns are fantastic. Please support Hooked, great food (and of course the rolls). And very friendly staff.
We often go there, because of the excellent value for money of their meals. They have this special of hake and chips for R59. Normally you would expect small portions for that amount, but it is full size. The two times that we ordered that, the quality was exceptional. The fish is crispy, not oily and flakes. Signs that it was cooked to perfection. Before that, we received a delicious homemade bun roll. So tasty, I can make a meal of that itself. The chips was crispy, without being overcooked or oily.
Then there are the staff. They are very friendly and make you feel at home. The service was spot on and the turnaround time for the food was quick. Now for the coffee. I just love their coffee. Nice and strong and a decent serving.
Even my 8 year old daughter loves to go there.
Thank you Hooked for always making our dining there a fabulous one.
I can strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoy good food.
