We LOVE Baconville! The food is great, the milkshakes are greater and the staff are absolutely the best. They always remember us and greet us warmly. The manager once came and offered to hold my baby while I ate. Another time I had already bought a meal from the market and my husband wanted to eat at Baconville and not only were they very happy for me to eat my market bought meal, but they offered to put it on a plate and kept it on a warmer till my husband's food was ready. Have not had better service. Thank you :)
Baconville surprised me. The staff were super friendly. Atmosphere casual and laid back. Ordered an iced coffee (The Brunette - which is an absolute no go ... I was warned about it but figured I’d give it a shot. My waitress was right. lol) Anyway, if you want a good burger, get the Don Draper. Huge. Juicy. Add the Gorgonzola if you’re the type. It’ll be worth it. I’d post a pic, but I devoured my burger long before I thought about whipping out my phone.
Had an omelette, the bacon was heavenly, the food was cooked to perfection, nice light fluffy omelette and the cappuccino was to die for.
The service was fantastic, greeted with a smile and has a great sense of humor.
P.S. give me the recipe for that bacon!!
Food is fantastic its fresh and hot and tasty and lots of various bacon to try. The service is excellent. The host goes out of her way to make sure you're attended to and that you don't have to wait longer than necessary for your order. All round an excellent experience and definitely worth a visit if you at Willowbridge
I hardly give a 5/5 score but this time I saw nothing that would make this outlet deserve anything less. The menu offers a wide variety of bacon-based dishes and their prices are very competitive. The quality of food and presentation is excellent and I was pleasantly surprised by how quick my burger was delivered. But what really impressed me of this restaurant is the excellent service received by my waiter, Solam, right from the time I stepped into the restaurant all the way through my stay. He was very pleasant, accommodating and was able to objectively advise which burger might have suited me. He also checked up with me if everything was fine while I was eating. You hardly come across such an excellent service even in a fine dining restaurant in other parts of the world. Hence the full score. Well done! Keep it up. Highly recommended
We ordered the breakfast club (with sourdough, avo, bacon, a poached egg, mushrooms, rocket and halloumi) as well as a joey tribiani sandwich (with meatballs). The breakfast was very interesting- a huge mouthful with way too much rocket but otherwise quite tasty. The sandwich was very fresh and the sauce that came on it was divine, however it was very expensive considering the size of the sandwich and the fact that it didn't come with a side. Our waiter was also very helpful and enthusiastic as he recommended our meals to us which we enjoyed overall.
Went to Baconville for Father's Day Brunch and even though we had to wait 20 minutes for our table it was totally worth it. The place was cooking but the waitrons was on top of it, with a variety check in from time to time and ensuring we are ready to order and satisfied with our food. I really appreciate this attentiveness especially during super busy times.
The menu is extensive and it took us over 15 minutes to decide what we want to eat. Love the cheeky one liners on the menu too.
Now for the food. Absolutely glorious, tasty and mouthwatering. I had the croissant with Crispy Bacon and Macadamia Nuts with Extra Banana. Perfection! The rest of the table agreed that this little spot is an absolute gem!

We had breakfast at Baconville this morning. My husband had eaten breakfast with colleagues here last week and had a really bad omelette. He phoned the manager and addressed the issue he had with the omelette.The omelette was dry with very little filling when he had requested a soft almost under done omelette.
The manager invited my husband to come again and have an omelette for free. This morning we went for breakfast. I had the Triple T and husband had an omelette with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. The omelette was huge, delicious and made to perfection. My breakfast of bacon and fried eggs was also delicious.
When we requested our bill the manager politely told us our entire meal was on the house, we did not expect this at all.
I appreciate when a restaurant reacts to a complaint/criticism in a positive manner. Thank you to Marie for our breakfast we really had a lovely meal and we are grateful for the gesture.
We have always had great food here and take the bad experience my husband had as a once off.
I'm going to start by saying that this was probably the best level of service that I have received from a restaurant in Cape Town for a very long time. The servers were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable on the items on the menu and in the restaurant, 👏👏👏 . The food (I mean bacon) was amazing, what more in life could you want than a bowl of bacon? I will definitely be back, love, love, love this place 😍😍😍. To be fair anywhere that places this much attention on bacon would rate high for me, but the service and food quality deserves a 10 out of 5!
Me and my girlfriend went for coffee coz we haven't been at that place, so we order coffee, of course, and three "snacks" to share while we drink our coffee..

The jalapeño poppers they serve it without being crumbed, (which is not necessarily bad) it tasted very nice, something different.
The Fries well done, not oily at all, which I appreciate.
The cake was moist and a little too sweet for my taste buds, had too much cream for my taste but other than that was good and the size was generous for one portion.
So I would recommend to share it between two people and eat it with an espresso or americano to contrast the sweetness.
The coffee, we order a cappuccino I don't know if it's my idea but till today I still thinking I felt a little taste of bacon, maybe was the milk who knows. But definitely tasted different than other coffee shops, once again, not necessarily bad, had a creamy taste.

I arrived early for a breakfast with a friend, and they were still busy setting up. But super accommodating, I was offered coffee while I wait. I really love the open feel of the restaurant. My friend arrived, and we both ordered the Yank with a side of bacon fries to share. Wow!! That might just be the best croissant I've ever had! Salty and sweet and super yummy! Service was great, loved the whole experience and will be back!
Usually the service is great, but this most recent time it was quite poor, but it was probably a fluke.
The staff are always friendly and the food always arrives fast. My mom enjoyed hers a lot and my breakfast bagel sandwich was mostly good, but coming from someone who eats them in the US, where they were invented, the bagels can't be put a grill, they HAVE to be toasted. The bagel needs to be crispy.
Besides that, it was very good.
Went here for lunch, owners were very accommodating and friendly. The decaf cappuccino was delicious! Served in a nice sizeable mug. The food was very tasty, especially the pasta dish. (Was not on the menu). Good spot for people watching. Thanks!
My girlfriend and I ended the year on a high with some great food at Baconville. As a pork lover I enjoyed my Pork Belly Bun with Choc chip and Mint Milkshake. The cherry on top was the great service from Ryan,what an awesome bloke.
We had a delicious lunch at Baconville today... tried a few new meals off their menu and we were actually surprised at how good they were. Even the gourmet Salted Caramel Milkshake topped with bacon was a hit.
Definitely enjoyed the food that they had to offer. Plus, I would be remiss, if I didn't mention that the place is aptly named; the bacon added a great flair to each meal
Absolutely a pleasure to eat there. Menu is interesting, waiter professional and attentive. He recommended the pork belly burger - hands down one of the better burgers I've had, and without a doubt the best in Durbanville. Shoestring fries and bacon mayonnaise were both delicious. Highly recommend you giving them a try if your are inclined to some delicious pork.
Thankfully the owner greeted us as I was looking at the different restaurants at Willowbridge. So glad the food is wonderful, a bowl of bacon is literally a bowl of bacon. Huge cappuccinos and the service was attentive.
Family considerations: Didn’t look to see if there is a kids menu. There is a playground right in the square of restaurants that Baconville is located. Lots of foot traffic so be mindful.
Such a cool restaurant with a hilarious menu! Guaranteed smile on your face. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The staff was also very friendly! Lovely experience.
Food is full of flavor and delicious. The Harvey sandwich was a bit
of al let down as I expected a “bigger more bold” sandwich but none
the less it was full of unexpected flavor! Breakfast was a much bigger
serving and I was grateful that we shared.
Could do with some flavored coffee as well but overall a pleasant

Located in the Willowbridge Mall, good size cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. All dishes (most) come with bacon! Excellent menu with some unusual things to try, and also all the classics. The coffee is excellent, on par with some of the best coffee/ roastries in the city. Bacon is lovely and crispy - perfection.
Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect spot for breakfast or brunch. Can’t wait to go back.
