Came here on a lovely Saturday morning for breakfast. The scenery and setting is amazing. Lovely tables outside between the guava trees. Service was wonderful - friendly staff. The coffee was quite disappointing unfortunately. The food was fine. I ordered the french brioche with bacon, and my wife the poached eggs with smoked salmon and cream cheese. It wasn't anything to get too excited about, but we had a good morning. There is great spots for kids to play and a petting zoo area.

We decided to spend the weekend in Wellington because Mands is running the Safari Half Marathon tomorrow. We met up for breakfast with friends, who are staying at Dunstones Wine Farm and Guest House. Breakfast is great value for money and delicious. We both had the omelette, both were well-made and tasty. Our friend had the pancakes, which were a little underwhelming and served with artificial version of maple syrup, while our other friend was totally satisfied with the full English. The coffee is a little weak, but that's because I like my spoon to stand up in my first cup of the day. All in all, beautiful scenery, relaxed vibe and a morning well-spent.

We were arranged by our hotel to come to this lovely little restaurant for dinner as we arrived to Cape Town late, we were really surprised on arrival, the decor is quite nice, there's machinery for wine making, menus are written neatly on blackboards hanging on the walls.

We got seated and we had a look around for a good wine, how can you not have wine in the cape!!
We chose their wine of the year, Dunstone Shiraz 2013. We even bought a case home with us after having it.

The menu choices were limited, but good for those that have problems with making decisions. Haha

We were served bread, we had a butternut soup and a chicken salad, wow, what a great start, soup was delicious, chicken salad was very nice as well.

For mains, fillet steak, mash, mushroom sauce, steak was done well, that mushroom sauce was so awesome, we even told the chef about how good it was. She was not secretive about it, and tip us off with her little trick.

I had a ribs, onion rings and chips. Fantastic ribs falling off the bone, onion rings with thin crispy dough and soft center.

We had a passion fruit meringue which was little sour but went well with the sweets meringue and cream!

I think it's great comfort food, just what we needed to unwind from having a long day.

Such pleasant staff, and tasty fresh food. We enjoyed breakfast outside with friends and previous to that a tasty lunch (ribs, quiche and beetroot salad with honeyed pecans) all highly rated. And the wines are superb. We enjoyed both the rose' and the Viognier 🍷🍴😊

Went there for fathers day and I must say it's a beautiful place :) The food was pretty good but the only thing that could be perked up a bit is the service on busy days like fathers day which was a bit slow. But other than that I wouldn't mind going again with family :)

We went there for Mother's Day. It is a good place for children as there is a lot for them to do. I was not very impressed with the food, especially the salad, which I felt was below standard. Not sure if I will go there again.

We recently spent a night at Dunstone Estate in Wellington and were lucky enough to dine at the Stone Restaurant for both dinner and breakfast… both very different settings and both thoroughly enjoyable.

Dinner was in the restaurant/winery and was available as a 3 course set menu. It was incredibly warm and cozy with romantic candlelit tables throughout. Dinner was delicious - For starters we had a parma ham and melon salad - fresh, light and tasty. Next was fillet steak on a bed of potato wedges and topped with julienne veg and a peppercorn sauce - the steak tender, melt-in-your-mouth goodness and the peppers and courgette were a welcome addition (one I will definitely have again) with full and balanced flavours. Dessert was Eton Mess - the perfect ending.

Breakfast was served in the gardens of the Stone Kitchen and our full English breakfast and coffees went down a treat. Peaceful, yummy and what a wonderful start to our day :)

Fantastic service, food, views and setting.

We had the pleasure of having breakfast here on Sunday. This place is such a hidden gem.The view from the restaurant is amazing, perfectly framed by the wooden sliding doors. The food was delicious and we all left very satisfied. Husband particularly enjoyed the coffee served piping hot in a blunger. The only problem we had was their toaster was on the blink so we waited a while to get extra toast.Great place for a Sunday outing into the countryside.

Great place for kids - mud kitchen, goats, jungle gym, guava orchards and trampoline outside as well as indoor play area including a lego table. Attention is given to the little things which make all the difference. They brought the kids food out first, so it could cool down enough to eat by the time our food arrived. The chef specially made cheese sauce for me even though it wasn't on the menu, just because it was my preference. The food was great, and really good value for money too. Thanks Stone Kitchen - loved the experience!

We decided especially on The Stone Kitchen for brunch/tea time due to their great kids area. Definitely kids friendly, from as young as a year. They have an indoor play area too. Their outdoor area has a few different “areas” with sand and jungle gyms, as well as swings and a trampoline. Their food is delicious! Would recommend their grilled chicken wrap and their coffees. Their wine selection is small yet satisfactory with delicious Dunstone wines. Their kids menu is superb and has a great variety for each age group. I would suggest making a booking beforehand as they get busy on holiday days and over the weekends.

Beautiful views. We visited on a Friday during their quieter times, which was great for us as we could fully enjoy the restaurant as first time visitors. We were told they get extremely busy over weekends and bookings are essential. There is plenty of seating available inside and outside. This place has the biggest play area I have seen at a restaurant (indoor and outdoor), therefore it is perfect for families. There is also a section with goats and pigs which kids will love. Our little one truly enjoyed herself and keeps asking to go back. Our waiter was friendly and very accommodating. We ordered burgers and wraps. The burgers were a bit dry and the onion rings a bit too oily, however the wraps were delicious. Our coffee came very hot just as we like it. This restaurant is definitely worth the visit.

An awesome family oriented restaurant with an indoor and outdoor kids play area which makes it perfect for all seasons. The restaurant also has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options but seeing that it wasn’t raining, we chose to sit outside under the guava trees! Their food portions are very generous and well-priced, not to mention delicious! Be warned though, the section of gravel road which leads to the entrance is quite bumpy at the moment due to the heavy rains.

Went for breakfast on Women's Day - dined inside. Arrived before the rush so service was great - it's possible it slowed down later when there were more customers, especially as there was also a large kiddies party starting outside. Food was great for all of us. The only downside - the toilet facilities are in urgent need of attention - doors not locking, lights not working!

What a beautiful setting, this wine farm was recommended by friends who said it has a children's play area. The children enjoyed it and the staff was very friendly. The wine tasting was nice and not to expensive. I can really recommend this place if you have children and want to enjoy some grown-up time.

When it comes to passing the time in Wellington @Dunstone_Estate Stone Kitchen is one of the must-do places. Whenever we're in the area my daughter demands a visit and I can't blame her. The ataff are friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the wines and food. The playground is perfectly located which allows parents to enjoy the surroundings and have full view of their kids. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are very generous. They also have a Duck pond, piglets and goats on the premises. Dunstone ticks all the boxes and I cannot wait to return
