WOW! The most amazing calamari I have ever had and great portion size! The fish and chips was also divine. The name has changed but what a great restaurant!
Blown away by the food here- cannot fault anything. We had Dim Sum starter that we polished, I had the kingklip with Parmesan mash and my boyfriend had the calamari wow wow!
Only let down were the banana/Nutella spring rolls which tasted too much of banana!

Malawi. Ill never forget - I wanted to order the tempura as a starter and she recommended I order the rock shrimp instead. How delicious!! Food was great and my husband and I had a really great time. Lovely vibe too.
Had dinner here last night. I loved the ambiance of the place, the decor and music was great. I had California roll sushi for starters, which were soooo good😋. I then had Peking Duck as a main, I enjoyed that too. The service was also excellent, very attentive staff. All in all a great place and would definitely recommend it.
I ordered 3 hake and chips takeaways and the food was well prepared and tasted fresh. The restaurant is a little cramped, but the restaurant is always almost full of people dining,wining and having conversations. The waitresses are efficient and the owner is really pleasant interacting with his patrons.
I will definitely return for more of their fish.
The best seared salmon tataki and spicy seared tuna tataki in Durban. Durban often disappoints on the food front and it’s great to find a dish or two that you’d seek out.
Food was outstanding. Opted for the hake and calamari with vegetables. Oh wow was this a perfect dish! Service is spot on and the sushi for a starter or main is divine.
Love the decor and ambience of this restaurant. Super impressed by the kiddies’ food options available-not your run of the mill processed food. Great weekday lunch time specials (we went for the 30% off sushi and dim sum). Really enjoyed the sushi. Hake and chips coming past looked great too.
Catch is a magnificent restaurant to dine near the sea at. I would like to acknowledge Trevor our waiter for his friendliness and being attentive when serving our sushi and seafood. I had the 4x4, Volcano Roll, Futomaki and calamari. The calamari was juicy and had a wonderful taste. Sushi was delightful with all the different tastes such as salty with salmon, plain with rice, soy with Unami, sweet with mayo and pickled ginger. Ambiance and decor was amazing and a lot of effort was put in. Definitely recommend it as one of the best restaurants in Umhlanga for seafood and sushi.
