This restaurant honestly makes me want to move to Cape Town !
The meal was flavourful and amazing … I loved the veg options. So serene enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and vineyards , while sipping wine ! The food pictures talk for themselves 😊
So we did another quick visit to Cape Town and I had to go to this special place again. I loved that the lady at the front desk remembered us and made us feel special … I have my favourites on the menu but tried another … will be here again and again and …
Wonderful experience at Tryn. I surprised my girlfriend with a birthday dinner here and everything was perfect. The temperature indoor was perfect, the staff were welcoming and patient for the guests who were late due to the surprise. The food was excellent. A very pleasant experience well worth the price. Highly recommended.

A group of us - Besties - decided to go for dinner & we choose Tryn Restaurant at Steenberg as our venue.
I've never been to this venue before & was totally blown away the entire setup.
As we walked into this restaurant we were greeted by the most amasing staff with killer smiles, thank you.
We were ushered to our table & met by our attentive server - Tino, what an amasing person with an smile that sets you at ease immediately, thank you.
We ordered our drinks & placed our orders.
This venue is breathtakingly beautiful with amasing interiors & totally on point.
I was so impressed by the accompaniments that was delivered to our table. The one that caught my eye was the "Mosbolletjies" a type of bread & it reminded me of my gran.
We ordered the Rack of Lamb as a main course & we were totally blown away by the taste. The best we've ever had, amasing, compliments to the chef.
The dessert was such a surprise because we all ordered Creme Brûlée & we expected to normal, but this was served on a bed of fruit purée that none of us ever had before & a absolute winner.
The entire experience has blown all of us away & if you're looking for that special place with amasing cuisine & exceptional staff, this is it.

Had a lovely dinner at Tryn and absolute beautiful setting and restaurant from the outside to the inside very classic and refined. The Christmas in July offering was a balanced menu with options for all, the 5 course menu and a little treat to take home if you over indulged a bit with all the courses.
The Salmon macarons were a pleasant surprise with the salmon coming thru and the bit of sweetness, the bread on the table was a lovely addition and reminded me of when my auntie baked some bread in the winter time.
The starter was a mushroom and pastry adventure with the beefy taste but all mushrooms not a meat insight amazing and was a perfect launching point to the main which was a Gammon and Pear combo pure bliss.
The desert was a benoffie trifle and a vanilla ice cream masterpiece just perfect sweetness and crunch.
Hats off to the Chef, front of house staff and waiters definitely a must for all foodies and families. Shaun the front of house manager always came around and asked if everything was up to standard and filled up our glasses amazing staff, thank you was absolutely amazing.
What a lovely experience! Came here for a Sunday morning girls brunch. Made a reservation through Dineplan, wasn’t even necessary, got lovely seated in a booth. Staff was super attentive and kind, food was amazing, beautiful interior, great for a post-lunch-walk through the vineyards. Loved every moment. Definitely going to come back and give their dinner menu a try as well. ✨🙌
Tryn is a classy restaurant on the Steenberg wine farm in the picturesque Constantia Valley. From contemporary decor, to well presented and delectable meals, accompanied with fantastic service from the well skilled staff - this is a delightful place to enjoy your nourishment. The canapé-style lunch was both dainty and delish.

Upmarket restaurant adjacent to the hotel. My mother and I enjoyed walking out in the beautiful gardens and estate. Came from the steenberg tasting room and Had some drinks and a cheese platter off their tapas menu served between 3-6pm I think, was delicious just wished there was more of it but I guess less is more at these types of establishments. Overall good experience.
We enjoyed our Friday dinner at Tryn. The meal was delicious and the service was impeccable. We were celebrating my partner's birthday. This was recognized by the staff, and they provided a nice little additional dessert:) Unfortunately, it was raining while we were there, so we had to sit inside. Their deck looked beautiful though, and it would have probably been an even nicer experience to sit there on a warm evening.
The restaurant is located in a stunning vineyard. Food is good but not outstanding. The ethically caught fish was my favorite dish. Very fresh and delicious. The sémillon from Steenberg Wine Estate is a must try. Our waitress was super kind, helpful, and patient 😅 Thanks 🙂
It's an awesome venue with fabulous food and excellent service. Food choices for everyone from omnivores to vegans. A great restaurant for a special occasion 😍
