Review Primi - Table View

Still a great venue with great menu. The food was delicious and fresh ingredients added to the flavour. The staff are incredibly well mannered and well trained. They greeted us with the biggest smiles and really added some magic to the evening. We were a table of 3 and all 3 of us are gluten free. All of their pasta dishes come with a gluten free pasta option and so do the pizzas. Primi Table View is a winner and we will definitely be back soon.

Very friendly and well informed staff. The food was excellent. Pizza is amazing! One of my top pizza and pasta places. This was such a pleasant experience at Primi. Always lekker comfortable vibes. Highly recommended when in Blouberg.

Always enjoy Primi when I'm very hungry. I know the food will be great and tend to order the same favourite meals. Foccasia with rosemary, recco sauce and chicken capeneola. Excuse my spelling 🤣

Food is good just a normal everyday experience not something special, but a good view.

It was midweek on my birthday and ordered delicious Recca pasta. Both wheat free and normal. Highly recommended and the portion size was sufficient. Parking was easy downstairs and toilets were right there in the restaurant. Beautiful views of the sea and table mountain. Not many places in the world where such a view can be enjoyed while eating lunch.

Wonderful evening spent at Primi! Sat close to the crackling fireplace on a cold winter's night, spectacular views! The food was both prepared, and presented, in a lovely way. The pizzas were tasty, all fresh ingredients, superb waitering and bar staff, the manager is top of his game! We had a relaxing, unrushed evening. Will definitely recommend!

Great views Food good overall, but carbonara was not the best.

This was a masterpiece! I had Chicken Campagnola and the perfectly smooth, creamy sauce with just perfect amount of herbs melted my heart. ❤️ my husband had the Prego Chicken and also said it was great choice - meat not too pink, not too dry, great seasoning. If you are in this area of Cape Town, go there! + the staff is very nice and kind. 1000% recommendation! :)

Hey humans If you want food that hits the taste buds like the view of the mountain stimulates the imagination then this is the restaurant for that. Good pizzas are a given so I'm not even going to go there. I'm going to describe a healthy meal I have had here since day 1. Two delicious chicken skewers delicately prepared and placed atop a crispy fragrant flat bread. Order a creamy pepper sauce (yes.. the one that actually has real pepper corns in) and enjoy a guilt free (almost) meal as you get annihilated by the exquisite mountain view. I usually grab a carafe of Pinotage Spier (totally quaffable) and melt into the evening surrounded by happy faces and warm hearts. A legendary restaurant. A jewel 🔥 Peace ✌️

This is a classic Primi with both great food, and a spectacular view as it's placed right on the beach front. We ordered some beer, which I found to have a good selection thanks to the craft beer on tap and some pizza's with the family. We ordered a Moroccan Chicken and a California among others, we found these to have lovely thin, crispy bases with great flavour, only to be improved by the cheese, tomato and toppings of our choices. These are really awesome. These are enjoyed best with a drink and watching the sunset as this Primi has to have one of the best views available. Right near the beach, grab a pizza and watch the sun dip just below the horizon.

Being a regular here I just have to give credit where credit is due. Never had a bad experience here for the 9 years I’ve been dining here … Always a warm welcome and always asked where we would like to be seated and never too much trouble when asking for anything. Not fancy but welcoming. Cozy I. Winter with fires .. beautiful views and great menu options. I really do recommend the zucchini fries and the chicken livers peri peri … my two firm faves with a good bottle of Groote Post red wine .. Love this place One star removed just because at times you need to get the waiters attention but things are quickly seen to after that …

A very large Primi restaurant. You are bound to get a seat, even on the busier nights. Still always have been close to a fullhouse in the evenings. Calming atmosphere, with a nice view over table bay. The food is amazing, just as what you are to expect from such a name. Won't be disappointed.

I ordered on UBER EATS, a spaghetti Carbonara, Bacon bits, spring onion, fresh parsley, basil, cream egg sauce, what I got was old pasta, a bay leaf and a few bits of bacon, which tasted absolutely revolting, I'm sure it was a left over concoction from a few nights ago. I called to complain and was told that if I didn't like it to bring it back, which I did as I am so sick of ordering food online and getting ripped off every time. The manager, Michael, refused to taste it, but they remade the dish, which in the pictures you can see is very different, but Michael told me its the same dish and that I was difficult.

I was just at primi and waited 40 minutes for a dagwood beef burger...and a eggs benedict. And not even once did the waiter come to notify us that our food is going to be a while. And everyone that came after us got served and we just sat there so we left and the manager came to say we must sit Down our food is on the way but we already stood up and asked for our bill which was just two coffees. Also we sat with empty coffee cups infront of us for most of the time and not even offered a refill, couldn't even ask the waiter because he was nowhere around. So i dont recommend this place<br/><br/>

This used to be such a vibey Italian eatery, well known for its service and quality food.<br/>Sadly, all of that is out the window now - not even the great view can redeem the dining experience.<br/>The food was cold and had to be returned to warm up, the mixers for our drinks were served from 2 liter plastic bottles and flat as a result. Sad to see a formerly great diner ruined like this.

So tonight I spent a lovely evening with a few of my friends. We had a great evening with amazing food and an extraordinary view. As the night went on we realized the restaurent became fuller, and by the end of the night a large group of men came into the restaurant and sat at the table behind us 5 girls. One of the men approached us and started to bother us. This man was clearly under the influence of some alcohol as you could smell it on him and due to his slurred speech. After numerous warnings, telling the man we are not interested and he should just leave us alone he would not get the hint and walk away. He later came and sat at our table and made sexual references and kept on rubbing us off to the other men who was with him. Now this review is not to really talk about the man, who basically harassed us, but to talk about how other restauranteers as well as employes of Primi Table view responded to this man bothering us. Throughout the confrontation I kept looking around to see if someone was actually seeing how he was bothering us and low and behold, every few minutes there was either a customer or a waiter that would glans our way, see the way he was handling us, and just proceed with what they were doing. Now I'm not saying it is their "duty" or "obligation" to warn of unwanted clients bothering other clients but the fact that no one (niether waiters nor other restauranteers) did anything to at least assist us in getting this man's attention away from us, is what really upsets me. I felt unsafe in the restautant as I knew that no matter how much we tell this man we are not interested, and him not getting the hint, I knew that by the response of others around us, we had to handle our own situation since we would not be helped by anyone obeserving the situation. I'm truly appalled by the reaction shown in the restaurant and truly disappointed...

Had a great experience at Primi in Table view. We had dinner there on new years eve, it was super busy and the restaurant was full. Service was great they definitely prepared for a busy evening. We ordered a pizza and burger with zucchini fries to share, the burger was great and flavorful, the pizza was ok. Overall good experience.

Used to love going to Primi. It was many years since we last went and the menu has changed a lot. The service as always was good and the food was decent. This Primi is in the best location as you have fantastic views of the mountain and beach.

The service from Scott was perfect! His approach and knowledge of the menu saved my day! I cannot recall what it was that he offered me all I know it was a medium done steak with an egg and I don't think I have been satisfied with food in such a long time!

Fair service and a really beautiful view. Was very impressed with the food during my latest visit. We ordered a spinach, feta and olive pizza along with a creamy bacon and mushroom pasta dish. This pizza is my absolute favourite as the crust is thin and crisp and topped with fresh, good quality ingredients. The pasta was also delicious and a good portion was served.

Good service. Lovely view. Unfortunately a friend and I had a bad spell of food poisoning after having the chicken liver starter to share, and a chicken pizza.<br/>I enjoy primi in general but this left a bad taste in my mouth. After emailing the store to let them know I did receive a thesis on food poisining in response with them pretty much not interested.<br/> Probably will Go back after some time or when I'm ready to take a chance again

Excellent food (I love colorful plates), great service - loved the atmosphere! Young adults and families with teens will will love it, the view of the beach added an amazing holiday feel (even out of season) :)

Had the breakfast bowl. It was ok. A bit like a salad. But its just personal preference. I suppose its carb clever. But not very breakfasting for me. The coffee was very good with a hazelnut "shot" yummy

Service was fair although the server was a bit like a car salesman, constantly trying to sell is something special "not on the menu". The food was just average. Nothing spectacular and not bad, but given the price, it was lacking. <br/><br/>The ambiance was strange. Italian food in a casual setting with nightclub music. We found it a little annoying. <br/><br/>Would not recommend.

Mediocre pasta, terrible service, cold food and an annoying constant service buzzer droning over the restaurant are contrasted with the good view and good pizza. It's pros seriously don't outweigh the faults in this establishment

Great vibe overlooking the kite surfers. Our waiter was friendly and we had great service from him. It was my first time eating here, I had the California pizza and I expected it to look better. It was quite bland and had to season it with the salt and garlic to give it some taste. <br/><br/>Would try another branch for a different meal.

Seriously what the hell? How are they still in business?? View and location is awesome and that's it!!! Waited 15 min to give my order after receiving the menu and that only as I waved to get attention. The place had myself and 3 other tables and that's it. Started off with the bloomin onion which was bloomin gross! Raw dough. I eventually walked out after again being ignored for 25 min. You're better off serving yourself as the waiters are just ridiculous.

Had such a bad experience at Primi on a Saturday Morning. I had a group of people that I invited for breakfast. The service was so slow, the food was cold and not worth the value. Our toast arrived 20mins after our meal. When speaking to the manager, he just gave us stick saying that it's not his fault. Never going to primi again. We paid R39 for 1 egg, 1 slice tomato, 2 small rashes of bacon and a piece if dry hard toast. Worse of all is that they served it in a huge pizza plate so it looked as that the plate was dirty with those few items on. Do Not go to Primi for Breakfast. Worst value for money. The extra .5 was for the amazing view.

Totally disgusted with the attitude of management after my child was pushed out the restaurant after coming back from Guy Fawkes eve and she told the bouncer that her dad was upstairs but yet he pushed her out when she tried to come inside and locked her out. She called me from outside panicking and told me what happened. I confronted the bouncer and this led to an altercation. After all this management comes back protecting the bouncer so I will definitely not be going back and to those who frequent the restaurant to think about where their loyalty lies, clearly not with their patrons.

Came here with a bunch of friends. Waitress was really friendly and helpful. Service was quick. Everyone had pasta and really enjoyed it. Portions were great and food was really tasty. Also has a nice sea view with Robben island in the distance.

This place has an awesome vibe, good food and it's warm and cozy with their fireplace and heaters, however, service can be very slow - even when they're not busy. I also don't like waiters shouting orders and having conversations with each other whilst on opposite sides of the room.

I havnt been to a primi in years. I Must say I was surprisingly happy with the food and the service. I had a chicken burger with no roll and onion rings ( some of the best I have had) ! Zucchini fries were also amazing! Primi has won me over again !

Had super there last night and decided on the Recco (curry infused Neopoletan sauce. Found it a bit dry and very heavy on the chillies. My husband enjoyed his pizzas usual. Our guest also had the pasta that could h<br/>Ave done with a bit more sauce. On the whole a bit disappointed <br/>

I have frequented this place many times in the past for coffee and have thoroughly enjoyed myself, however the day I decide to order a meal off the menu I was horribly disappointed with what was presented to me. I ordered savoury french toast for breakfast, and the menu showed a picture of a lovely set of baguette french toast with cherry tomatoes and basil. What I received instead was a couple of slices of dry egg-dipped bread with a side of maple syrup. I found this to be misleading, and mentioned it to the waiter who called the manager. But the manager didn't really intend to hear it from my perspective, and instead just justified what was presented before me. <br/><br/>The waiters in the restaurant then proceeded to talk about me and insult me in there own language, under the impression I didn't understand them. <br/><br/>So not only was I disappointed by the food I received, but also by the professionalism of the staff.

Always a favourite! Our food was amazing as always! I had the calamari starter, husband had the beef burger and we shared the focccia with feta spread...delicious! They are super child friendly. The kids get pizza dough to play with and crayons. The kids get a party pack to take home.

Such a disappointment! Ordered the Cesar salad expecting a filling meal with fresh ingredients. Lettuce was wilting, cheese was stale (all four tiny pieces) as well as the fact that they forgot to add croutons. Left feeling extremely irritated by the poor food. What a waste!!

Such a super experience! Although not a regular here, I have eaten here a number of times and was really impressed on this particular occasion. <br/>The menu has some really excellent choices that takes this beyond your run-of-the-mill franchise restaurant. You're not limited to the standard Alfredo pasta or Regina pizza. I can't imagine I would ever land up with my standard order here because there's so much I want to try. <br/>On this occasion I had the primavera pasta which was absolutely fantastic. The olive oil, spinach and tomato chunks combined to create such a fresh taste. Really impressed! <br/>My teenagers chose the Moroccan chicken pizza and the fresh tomato, avo and basil pizza. Both were fantastic and so well presented. <br/>The service was excellent. Friendly and speedy even though the restaurant was incredibly busy. <br/>All round a fantastic experience and a wonderful evening out.

For a Primi outlet it was below average. The food was slow and cold. The service was awful with our waiter even being rude to us. The view is ok, but you need the right seat. Wasn't a great experience.

HI let me state firstly my wife's favourite restaurant is Primi Piati (favourite meal beef carpaccio)<br/><br/>So we went with 6 friends last night to have a few sundowners and a nice meal.<br/><br/>Well the service was bad we waited 45 to 50 min for the food to arrive but the food was atrocious<br/><br/>Fist problem sorry no beef carpaccio the cutter did not work????<br/><br/>First meal Calzone primi burnt big black patches on top<br/><br/>Second and third burger patty was smaller than usual and made well done so it was like eating sawdust<br/><br/>Fourth burger patty was smaller than usual and made well done so it was like eating sawdust and came late as they forgot this persons order she also ordered cheese sauce which didn’t arrive<br/><br/>Fifth meal California pizza was a bit dry. On bringing the problems to the managers attention, he was rude and made us feel like it was our problem not his.<br/><br/>Meal six and seven were fine pasta and chicken salad but really who can mess up a salad

Had a great experience this afternoon at Primi Piatti, we were friendly received by the manager and had great food, one of my friends ordered their California pizza and I had their Chicken Caesar wrap starter as main meal, both was presented beautifully and was delicious.

What a lovely find. Perfectly situated with a gorgeous view to accompany the delicious food. I'm used to Primi but this one was particularly pleasant. The wait staff was friendly and he food arrived quickly. My mango jam jar was not as delicious as Primi usually offers them, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time. The vibe was great. The view was extravagant with the sight of table mountain and fireworks going off.<br/>The service was not the best. I asked to get a side plate which never came but otherwise the waiter was pleasant.<br/>I ordered a burger with chips. The burger was good but could have had a bit more flavour and the chips were undercooked. The sauce on the side was amazing it felt as if it should be burny but was sweet instead which played with my tastebuds. <br/>I would definately advise people to go here as the experience was very enjoyable.

Was off to a good start. Then we waited over an hour for salads. And no bread was offered or any requests to refill our drinks. Good food. Bad service. Bad manager.

My recommended spot for some good loin lamb chops. Friendly waiters and a beautiful view of the sea! The service is on point and the prices are well worth the food :)

Primi always lives up to my expectations. Amazing pizzas the base for some reason is absolutely delicious. Good service and presentation. Only thing I didn't like was the poor state of the menus. Quite gross to touch actually.

I found the breakfast menu a little annoying. It is as if they a re trying to hard to be innovative. I had the breakfast tacos and they were disappointing. Wish a good old breakfast feat bacon egg was advertised on the menu and not on the board behind the customers😭

Great atmosphere, lovely service tried out the new peri peri chicken liver starter, it was awesome! Perfect balance of peri peri and flavors. I definitely recommend it.

Primi, known for pizzas and pastas have recently added burgers, chicken wings and similar to their menu. Chicken wings arent the greatest however my burger was fantastic (even though the waiter got it slightly wrong). If you're looking for the best burger; this isn't it but its something different. A must try. Good service and a great view of the ocean.

Excellent service all round: brilliant with my little girl, providing so much for her that we had our first enjoyable family restaurant meal. Waiters go above and beyond. Food was delicious. Highly recommended!

I've always had good service at this Primi Piatti. The food is great. In the winter I love the fireplace and in the summer the views are amazing. I miss the Berry Nojito that used to be on the menu.

Always an absolute winner to grab a table for the beautiful Real Primavera on nights you just don't want to cook. Always a fabulous dining experience!

Another franchise! At least this one has a view! Pizza is always good, but I miss the Austin Powers Pizza, tries the California, seems to be the same. The garlic and chilli on the side is a must to spice up the standardized bland out of the box menu!

After a beautiful day at the beach as we were driving back to the hotel we felt hungry so we decided to stop for a bite and by the corner was the primi, we went in and already a girl came to my baby brother, started chatting with him as she took him to the kids play area they helped my baby brother make his own pizza and he really enjoyed playing in the play area there is a warm feel and a great over look of the beach and from expected food at primi never disappoints. The manager is also very hands on I told him how much I loved the place and he was very pleased to hear

A new favourite of ours even though we have passed it almost daily for 3 years without visiting. You have to go a long way to find fault in a Primi menu choices, how can you say no to delicious pizzas, pastas and burgers mixed with exotic cocktails... All Primi's have a good standard and quality of food but it's something about the staff at Tableview, especially how they happen to go that extra mile that make it an even better food and social experience. The view of Table Mountain is just an added bonus. <br/>We visited again yesterday afternoon with some friends who brought their 10 year old son and the waiter went the extra mile to make sure he was looked after. <br/>You'll be sure to find us back here again and again.

Yesterday we went to Primi Piatti for dinner with friends. The food was amazing ... As always but we waited close to 45min for our food. I understand it was busy but if the kitchen is delayed at least advise the people that.

I am not a big Primi fan. Probably been there twice in my life before. The family dragged me there. We ordered 2 burgers and a skewered chicken meal.<br/><br/>The service was not more and not less friendly than can be expected. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to arive.<br/><br/>All in all I would say reasonable .. R350 for three ..

Something different. The menu is playful with all kinds of variations on Italian food. Portions were big, service was good... Our bread baskets only arrived after 10 minutes though.<br/>Overall , the food was good, the view was great.

I always have had great service here and food, found prices reasonable and enjoyed the ambience. Waiter attentive and never needed to look for him . Will be back.

I was incredibly happy to be back in Cape Town at a Primi I had been to many times before, after having such an awful experience at Eastgate in Joburg. I visited with a friend and her one year old son and it was a great experience from the moment we set foot in the door. A waiter carried the baby seat to our table, ensured we both had some time to eat while he held the baby and entertained him. The service all round was excellent. The food was excellent and as always I will come back to this restaurant time and time again. Our waiters name was Joseph and he really made for a lovely eating out experience.

Terrible service, average food. My boyfriend and I wanted to take his father out for nice Sunday lunch yesterday, but we made the mistake of choosing Primi in Tableview. From the time we arrived, we were treated to less than average service and all-round bad attitudes. After waiting for more than 45 minutes for bread at our table, we called our waitress and asked her if it was still coming. She shouted over our table to one of her colleagues to "bring them some bread!" - When we complained to the manager, he was even worse and basically told us that "bread is complimentary" and that we are lucky to get it. My boyfriend also waited over 20 minutes for a beer. Obviously basic manners and customer service are not on the menu at this establishment. We will never be eating there again.

Myself and 5 friends went there for dinner last night. I ordered the seafood pasta which did not taste right. I called the manager over and he said what would you like me to do about it. Great response! Then this morning I had messages from all at the table last night to inform me that they are ill. Not going back there again.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! the owner is an abusive psychopath who physically and verbally abused our table before throwing us out for complaining about a 1 and a half hour wait for food which we still hadn't received. One of our party left the table and discretely asked what the problem was and why no one had come to explain the delay.<br/><br/>The next thing we knew he was at our table screaming and swearing on top his voice tell us to F......g get out of his restaurant and no body tells him how to run his restaurant so loud the entire restaurant stopped eating. We had a one year old child and a 10 year old at our table who were actually scared when he actually pulling chairs out from underneath us and swiping glasses out of the 10 year old hand while she was still drinking.<br/><br/>I have read about more incidents involving him and really wish something would be done about him. He just gets his staff to lie for him when the authorities are involved.

Really good place to go with the kids - they have a 'make your own pizza' area just for the little ones and that keeps them occupied whilst waiting for your meal. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming and the food is very good (especially the pizza).

This is one of my favourite restaurants in blouberg. I always have good service and great food here and the view is fantastic as well.

This is one of those restaurants you visit again and again because you are guaranteed consistent food quality and service. It is often full, and that in itself speaks wonders. Wholesome, yummy Italian inspired food. I love the Californian pizza with streaky bacon, and the Fillet Al Fungi. Add a Strawberry daiquiris and you are all set! It has a beautiful view of table mountain out of it's panoramic glass windows, which adds to the experience.

I had previously given a 2.5 rating for a really bad visit but decided to give Primi another try and was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food was amazing. I had the california pizza and it was really tasty.

Can say with confidence that Primi is synonymous with consistency and I like that!<br/>Primi Tableview and Primi Constantia are certainly on par with quality taste service and presentation but where Tableview has the edge is most definitely its unmatched location!<br/>A real bonus to fulfil all the senses!<br/>To enjoy a great meal with awesome company and fabulous service while having the magical opportunity of viewing the majestic Table Mountain and the ebb and flow of the waves makes for an all round fabulous experience.<br/>Thumbs up to the freshly chopped garlic!!!! There's garlic and.......there's garlic!!!! Garlic is one of my favourite accompaniments and when its fresh and supplied generously it tips the scales from GREAT to LOVED it!!!<br/>A reliable restaurant well worth recommending.

Primi use to be one of my favourite places to go until we had an incident with the manager whom believes the client is never right! Yes they have amazing Pizza's and yummy cocktails but hey without great service the food means nothing however with saying that, the waiters are probably of the best, always friendly and energetic a little on the slow side when they have a full house but I do know they can only move as quick as the back of house when busy...<br/><br/>So all and all my views on Primi are, good food, good wine, good waiters just Management that needs to step up a little to make things flow a little smoother and maybe get a few more hands in the bar and kitchen when you know it's going to be a busy night and get to know your regulars and appreciate them more....

Been there plenty times, food always good and waitrons super efficient and friendly - its one of our favourite places to have lunch on a week end - highly recommend - view is awesome !!

Primi Piatti, Tableview, is an excellent location for a Saturday brunch, especially after a raucous night out! Their pasta is an excellent hangover cure. Service can be a bit slow, especially if it's busy, but if you're able to take it easy and look out at the beautiful view, you probably won't notice!
