Definitely a delightful dine.
There is certainly a Greek atmosphere. The food is simple yet delicious, all Greek staple flavours are prominent throughout their food. Although we waited fairly long for our mains to arrive, it was well worth it as the food was prepared really well and the use of fresh ingredients was obvious. They make their own pita bread which is by far the best I have tasted yet! The portions are also generous and well worth the price. When in the mood for Greek cuisine, as the the terminator would say "I'll be Back."
Nice atmosphere. Wonderful view of Table Mountain!
The spanakopita was divine!! Grilled calamari starter was also delicious :-)
My friend had the lamb souvlaki on a plate with pita bread pieces. Served with a Greek salad and delicious tzatziki. Very fresh food and nicely served.
I'm a big fan of a shwarma and The Fat Greek did not disappoint! The service was good, very friendly and attentive, but not overly so. I had my usual gin and tonic, which came in the traditional on the rocks fashion with big chunks of cucumber....You really can't go wrong with a G&T. I wasn't starving so didn't have starters or dessert, I went straight for the mains. My shwarma was delicious. The tzatziki was perfect and the pita so soft and fresh. I went with the chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Your meal comes with chips, rice, salad, baked potato/mash (I think were options) or any combination of the two. I just had chips and they were good chips. My friends had the lamb slouvaki and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be back.
Wow, the food was delicious !! I tried a few things on the menu and I was blown away. The keftedes (meatballs) we so good, I wish I had ordered more. The big surprise for me was the tiropita, crispy flaky pastry and a warm cheesy filling, so delicious !. Then had the speciality Yuvetsi a lamb pasta dish which was insanely good , it was very rich and the portion I had could easily feed 3 people, it was so rich I thought it could do with a acidic side to break up the richness, but my goodness what a great dish. Then the souvlaki it’s was herby and garlicky the pita was a perfect vehicle for the pieces of lamb. All I can say is wow and well done, I will definitely be going back.
Really good food. Well priced. Bring your own bottle of wine or buy from around the liquor store around the corner. True Greek food. the Greek salad is a must try.
AMAZING PLACE! Best food, best atmosphere and best service! I went there tonight with my mom and dad for my 21st birthday dinner, and I was treated like a princess! Thank you to the manager and staff for a memorable evening! I loved every second and every bite!

Oh wow it’s so nice to have an amazing. Greek restaurant in the hood - as we usually trek to town. From the amazing starters with delicious hummus, olives and more, to the delicious main meals, we couldn’t fault a single thing. We arrived starving and left stuffed, enjoying every bite while catching up with a friend. What’s more, the restaurant is great, has a fantastic atmosphere and the decor is beautiful. One of my new fave food joints in the area for sure.
Wonderful meal. Absolutely fantastic. Just be aware no liquor license.
Really enjoyed the starters. Schwarma was great and yeh Halva amazing.
This new restaurant in tableview is so popular that i was unable to get a table for supper on friday 10th sept. Being curious to see for myself what all the fuss was about we went there for lunch on the following Sunday. Firstly they do not currently have a liquor license so you will need to take your own, which suits me fine as I usually take my own wine when dining out anyway and pay corkage, so it was a saving right at the start. I am not very familiar with Greek cuisine , so it took some time to select our food but eventually we settled in a mezze platter for our table of four for R320. The platter was full of amazing tasty delights and we all enjoyed our meal, I ordered a starter portion of sardines which were tasty and crispy, the best sardines I have eaten for ages. The platter came with 3 bowls of Greek dips which were hummus, tzatziki and one that we had never tasted before called taramasalata, it was nice and tasty and had a "fish paste" aftertaste and we were curious to find out what the ingredients were but our server had no idea, fortunately google came to the rescue and we read that the dip has cod roe as one if its ingredients, which explained the taste. All in all it was a pleasant meal and Greek experience and I would advise anyone to give it a try. There is another Greek restaurant 2 minutes walk away called Feta Mama which has equally good food with slightly better prices so we have a choice of two decent greek food restaurants in Table View.
Great food with amazing, friendly service. The portion sizes were ample and the quality was right up there. They have yet to receive a liquor license but that's not too much of an issue. Will definitely be going there again.
