The grill room is a very nice restaurant situated at the palace. It gets really full quickly when the palace is fully booked, hereby we had to sit in the Crystal palace but could still order from the grill room. Thus I cannot comment on the place itself. The food however was really good, i had the steak rolled in peri peri and mushroom sauce side , chakalaka side and a garden salad. It was absolutely delicious, just the sauce tasted like nothing. They need to work on the flavours of the sauces. My family also had the same experience.
My steak was cooked medium to rare and what a tasty protein it was. I am small framed but I finished my 500g. It is quite a lot so go hungry. Very delicious. Great place to eat when at sun city. Dont miss out on this lovely foodie experience.
Hearty dishes served in a fine dining setting. All food was well cooked and presented (steak and lasagne mains and chocolate slice's for dessert). The chicken wings starter was delicious. Our waiters and the manager were friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the red wine.

We went to The Grill Room for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic! These pictures of the decor on Zomato are quite old, they have nicer, cozy, comfortable furniture now and the setting is dreamy and sophisticated.
We ordered the ceasar salad, Pablo dusted squid and spiced hot wings for starters. We forgot to say no bacon so I didn't eat the salad but it looked good. The squid was perfect and crispy. The wings were just ok, nothing special.
For mains I ordered the rump steak because they were out of lamb. It was cooked perfectly, soft and tender. The accompanying mushroom sauce was memorable, almost spicy, yum! My boyfriend ordered the pork belly confit ribs. I didn't try it but he said it was pretty good, soft and delicious.
We ordered cocktails, they were delicious, I could have had 10 easily. Instead of dessert, they brought out a birthday cake for me and the entire staff (including kitchen crew) sang me a special happy birthday song.
What an amazing experience! I would highly recommend their steaks and their wine list is quite extensive as well. I will definitely be going back to this fine restaurant.

This place is an upmarket steakhouse with a nice setting. The service is good & there is a fair selection of nice wines.
For a starter I had the pork belly which was cooked nicely & was tasty enough. My husband had the spicy chicken wings which were good but nothing amazing (crumbed wings with a slightly spicy sauce on the side). For main course I had the pork belly ribs (their signature dish) & I was a slightly disappointed as it was basically exactly what I had as a starter expect with a salsa sauce. My husband & the rump & was also a bit disappointed as it had quite a bit of sinew. It was cooked properly though. For dessert we had the ice cream trio made up of lime, popcorn (delicious!!!) & Turkish delight (also delicious!!!) flavours. All of the food was well-presented.
We found it a bit pricey & I don't think that this would be our first choice when going back to the Palace.
Service excellent and food fantastic👍The Rosemary mash is highly recommended. We had steak and pork which was top class. The desserts are very nice as well

We had a fantastic dinner at The Grill Room while on holiday. Fantastic scenery accompanied by delicious food and excellent service just makes for a five star dining experience!
We started off with onion rings, a chilled carrot soup and some of their complimentary bread. The bread was nice and soft, but not fresh from the oven. The onion rings were devine! Not as greasy as you usually get and with an elegant flair to them. The soup was an interesting dish - very refreshing on a summer's day, but not something I would order again.
For mains, we had the ribeye, the fillet and the kabeljou. The ribeye and the fillet were a bit disappointing because even though the meat was soft, it was over cooked. The sauces that we ordered with it were to die for! I highly recommend the peri peri sauce - a real showstopper! The fish was also very tasty with a crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth meat. Cooked to perfection!
The evening could not be completed without trying their signature dessert - a trio of ice cream, namely kiwi, popcorn and turkish delight. I guess the only thing I can say is... Best ice cream EVER! Truly amazing! I was blown away - you could taste the freshness and the love and care that went into preparing the dish. Wow!
Overall, a wonderful dinner with great service! Just a bit disappointed that the mains were overcooked. If it wasn't for that, this restaurant would've gotten 5 stars - definitely one of Sun City's top restaurants and a must visit if you are vacationing here!
