Review Monica's Restaurant - Strand

Surprisingly nice little restaurant. The variety on the menu gives one a lot to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. We had the Te Rooi breakfast and it was great. The service was good to, we’ll definitely come back and try the dinners.

Monica's is such a cozy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. They have a little fireplace in the middle of the room, great for winter nights. All the people at my table raved about how good the food was and the prices are on point compared to other restaurants. The service was amazing, and the waiter that we had, coincidentally the chefs son, could help me out and manage some vegan options, since the menu was set for that night and there were none. It was a really great show, Tommy Dell performed along with some of his students. The sound is amazing. There is currently only one ladies and one gents toilet, but one of the staff members said they will be upgrading and adding more within the next few months. I'm definitely going there again. It was just such a fun and amazing experience overall. Thank you ❤️

As I understand it this place is now called Geronimos. Some friends organized me a birthday party there and I was greeted by what seemed to be the locals with a happy birthday song while standing there in my too-too and Batman mask. The owners were very active and friendly and the staff kept our table well serviced. The live entertainment was entertaining and kept the party going and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Very quiet for a Friday night. The menu is quite basic. Had a pizza that was thin and crispy and generously filled. Others portions were similarly generous and well-made. A bit of publicity and a couple of drawcards would do well to bring more custom...

Great for Sunday lunches. Real home made food when you miss home. Friendly staff and great food. A must visit when in town. Been there for years and I can see why. Cozy environment. Will definitely go again. Thanks for the great service and hospitality. Lots of parking available .

Their pizza is good but they can work on the service. We waited a long time for our waitress and the place weren't even busy. Nice venue if you are planning to have a party.

Visited for the first time last night. They had a nice fire going on a cold and wet evening. Fiendly people, warm welcome and good food at reasonable prices. Certainly worth a visit. Thx guys !

Good restaurant for authentic boere cousine. If you like starches, meat, and cooked vegetables this is the place for you. Sundays all you can eat buffet is a must try with the family.
