This joint seems to be super popular. Waited about 10mins to get seating. Once inside, we were approached by friendly staff. Got our milkshakes quick, and waffles followed through quick enough. For me, the waffles seemed a little too light in density. I prefer thicker and heavier Belgian waffles.... but my friend loved the light and crispy texture. It was really tasty, both sweet and savoury. Definitely choose the double scoop ice cream option. The banana milkshake was divine! No added sweetners.

Wish I could take this place with me to Brazil. The waiters are so gentle and I have no words to describe the owner of the place! I’ll come back ALWAYS! 🧇♥️

Unexpected explorations brought us here and so glad we did. This Belgian waffle 🧇 House bombs ! First time ever at a restaurant where we got our food 🧇 before our drinks. They know how to prioritize 😂 Choose from a delicious waffle selection. Whether you like savory or sweet, they have it all. Loved the layout. It's small enough to fit a few people and also have seating at the window that looks out onto the sea 🌊 side walk. Might sometimes look crowded but the staff handle the business of the restaurant like a well oiled train. Fluffy and light on the inside while crispy on the outside. Must try!

Went to the Belgian Waffle House on Sunday and expected to wait a while for table but pleasantly surprised to get a table fairly soon! Order waffle with ice cream and it was delicious and lovely and fresh!! Great experience and will definitely be back!! 💕🌞😁😁👍👍

Great local place. The lady which runs the place was very nice and jovial. Not your typical waffle house. Bacon stuffed waffle, egg stuffed or even ice cream. You walk out side and across the street and you are on the beach. Breakfast of lunch it is all good. Be prepared to have something unique as each waffle has its own style.

You haven't eaten a Belgian waffle until you've had one here. Absolutely divine. Service is fantastic, really great vibe and the owner is super nice. The Lemon curd and caramelized peaches waffles are a must try! The waffles are so light, moist and crunchy. 11 out of 10 👌

Waffles are top notch! Huge range of toppings to choose from, all of them equally delicious. Can recommend their milkshakes too - try the rooibos one!

This place is something else. The owner is so hands on and friendly. She is always there and enjoys mingling with her clients. Her attitude is definitely spilling over onto the staff. They are friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Definitely an experience everyone she enjoy

This is a must try destination. The food is really great, they have many different and tasty sounding and looking waffle and pancake selections. The staff are also extremely welcoming and accommodating, made us feel like family. Will definitely return : )

This is a real local gem. Located right on the beach road they offer beautiful scenery, an intriguing menu and a very friendly atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and makes you feel right at home. I must say with the variety of waffles 🧇 to choose from on the menu,makes it extremely difficult to choose what to have. The result........I always walk away super satisfied and never disappointed about my choice.

Very friendly service, beautiful Belgian waffles, and the greatest chocolate Latte I've ever had! They were having their annual close, but we didn't even feel rushed to leave, nor did they hover once the doors had been closed. Absolutely love this place!!

We always bring family and friends here, for brunch waffels, when they come to visit from the North. Perfectly fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside waffels. MAJOR selection of toppings. I have had the banana toff, the banana caramel, hot cherries and two savory selection. The prices can't be beat (sweet is ave R50), for your topping, waffel and two generous scoops of creamy ice-cream. They owner is very sweet. She put a candle in my mom's waffle for her birthday and two servers sang for her. Love this place. Like sitting at the window to get a view of the sea. (Meal average R150 for two. Meal and some nice cuppachino)

I’ve had loads of waffles in my life time and TBWH is definitely top 3. Each time I come here I’m greeted with such friendly and efficient service, it’s something so rare in Cape Town! <br/><br/>I opted for the syrup and vanilla ice cream - I’m a big fan of the classics. I wanted to have more waffle than ice cream because I’m not into the soggy mess that comes with waffles, so I’m a less is more when it comes to toppings.<br/><br/>I noticed they have a savory menu as well, can’t wait to come back to try it 🍦

Friendly and fast service, cute small place. Waffle tasted ok, but not the best I've had. Worth stopping by if in the area and want a place to stop right by the beach, the best thing about this place was the great location. And I was pleasantly surprised by a really great cup of tea.

Prompt service, attentive staff, great location, excellent quality. Definitely deserves a visit. The restaurant is clean and cosy. I can't fault them on anything.

Toppings was nice, waffles itself.. overcooked. Just a hard shell with no fluffy dough inside. A waffle place that doesn't know how to make a waffle?

Great crispy & fluffy waffles (maybe a bit too fluffy, but really good), super service (ordered 2 waffles and it came in what felt like 2mins), but not much of an atmosphere. It makes you want to leave after you've finished your waffle, & kind of reminds me of a school cafeteria, bland. But the waffles make up for it!

Definitely the best waffles I have ever tasted, light and fluffy and not at all a doughy batter. They have a good variety of toppings, definitely something for everyone. Cozy venue and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable.

For what it is, can't complain. Decent coffee and nice, more European like, waffles. It's a simple place, but nice to sit and have a chat with someone. Service is okay too.

Simply the best waffles in town! Staff are great and service is quick :) last time I went the waffles were a little bit airy inside.. but very nice owners they always happy to do a bowl of mince or something for my dog to eat outside :)

this family owned restaurant makes the best waffles I have ever tasted. the waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. i wish this restaurant would franchise.🙁 any option on the menu is a winner. this is a hidden gem and definitely worth a trip to Strand👌

We often go, the place is never empty and it's no surprise! The waffles are light, crispy & smothered in delicious toppings served alongside some really good coffee.

Stay away. Waffles presented undercooked and doughy. Management tried to imply that we didn't understand Belgian waffles. Undercooked is the same in any country. Waitress even admitted that the waffles weren't cooked properly.

The varieties all sounds dreamy. <br/><br/>I had strawberries and ice cream. The ice cream and fresh berries go excellent together. Another winner was the banoffee. Very sweet. But unbelievably good.<br/><br/>The service was very friendly and helpful.<br/>Definitely worth a visit for everyone sweet tooth or not.

They're waffles were really great and so was they're service. They're chocolate sauce however was not the best. It just tastes like cocoa powder mixed with water. The strawberries were nice and fresh. Would definitely come here again.

Been here once. Can't say it was worth the drive. Found the waffles to be average at best. I had a savory waffle and so did Sashen. The creamy chicken and mushroom was very mushy. And the chicken curry was quite bland. The waffle itself was just a let down. I wouldn't go back in a hurry, but if I was in the area I'd maybe give them a second try and try out their sweet ones.

If you have not been to the Belgian Waffle House in Stand, Beach rd you are in for a treat. Absolutely divine. Crispy, light and delicious!! Many toppings to choose from but I prefer mine simple with a splash of dark chocolate sauce and cream. Great coffee to accompany your waffle is an added bonus. Great value for money too makes this spot a win win. And the view of the ocean is an added bonus.

Visited here on a wet Thursday morning and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Had a chicken and mushroom waffle main followed by a roasted nut waffle afterward and loved both. Not much of a view due to the construction work on the other side of the street (hence no 4 rating) but great food and slick, polite service.

So this is how a waffle is supposed to taste?? It literally melts in your mouth. The toppings, both savory and sweet, are also of best quality. The coffee is amazing, both decaf and caffinated. To top it all off, the service is warm and welcoming. I will try to visit again as soon as possible.

Good place for a quick dessert or a sweet treat. Waffles are lovely and portions are a good size. Service is fantastic must be cause its all Belgian ladies. There is ONLY 6 tables so good luck getting one! Will go again when I am in the area. Ps. The Belgian beers are cold with 10% alcohol lol. Served in authentic belgian goblets.

A cosy and romantic setting opposite the Strand Beach and flea market. Great service and friendly staff. I must visit when visiting the famous Strand Beach. Waffles are very delicious. Fresh ingredients with a touch of class. What to impress your partner. This is a great place. Reasonably priced for a tasty treat. They get my ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We popped in over the weekend and it was quite busy. I ate some actual Belgian waffles in Belgium. And this was very good! Light, fluffy and cheap. A must visit. Would love to go back and try some savory options.

Always an awesome treat to go to this little gem of a restaurant. Service is casual yet attentive. The owner is always there, very handson and friendly. They close for a month or two in winter. Waffles are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Good selection of toppings to choose from.<br/>
