Amazing service from back office, kitchen, front office, and waiters. Everyone is so pleasant and willing to assist.
Waiters were on the ball and didn't have to wait long for drinks or meals.
Meal was amazing... chicken was moist, not dry. Starters were great, bread was soft and delicious. Salads are fresh and not the same boring garden salads normally served. Roast potatoes were the BEST - but served too few, and they didn't have extra. Minus a star for this...
Cocktails are great, coffee strong.
Pecan pie is delicious!
The atmosphere is chilled, with plenty of open spaces for children to play. We were seated outside under the shade of the trees.
The meals were delivered quickly and were piping hot and delicious. The only call-out was on the lamb ribs portion which was small.

Food is absolutely awesome! I've been there twice now, and the food has been wonderful both times! Wait staff need a bit of prompting for service (I think this depends on how bust they are) so make sure who your waiter is. Otherwise, it was very nice and cordial when asked questions
Vadas at Spier Wine Farm: A Culinary Gem
Nestled within the picturesque Spier Wine Farm, Vadas is a culinary oasis that leaves an indelible mark on one's taste buds and dining experience. During our visit, we explored both the outdoor and indoor seating areas, and from the moment we entered until our departure, the service was nothing short of delightful and well-timed. The restaurant's manager, a prominent figure overseeing the operation, ensured that every aspect ran seamlessly, creating an atmosphere of attentive care.
Now, let's dive into the gastronomic journey we embarked upon. The "Beef Brisket Pastrami" was a showstopper in its own right. A thick, succulent cut that yielded effortlessly to our knives, it was served alongside perfectly crispy onion rings and a tantalizing salsa verde. The marriage of flavors here was sublime, with the salsa's touch of saltiness complementing the rich, smoky meat, leaving a lasting impression.
The smoked ribs, bathed in a bourbon barbecue sauce, were a revelation. As we cut into them, they practically fell off the bone, showcasing the expert craftsmanship in the kitchen. The sauce, sweet and tantalizingly delicious, coated each morsel, creating a heavenly contrast of flavors and textures that made every bite a pleasure.
A highlight of our visit was the "Fat Butcher" pizza. With a remarkably light and crispy base, it immediately won us over. Toppings that boasted an array of flavors danced harmoniously on the palate, making it a favorite among our selections.
Overall, our experience at Vadas was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere exuded a vibrant and inviting vibe, and we left with a yearning to return and explore the bakery offerings. Vadas at Spier Wine Farm is a culinary destination that deserves every food enthusiast's attention, where memorable flavors and impeccable service converge to create an unforgettable dining adventure.
What an amazing experience. Service was smiling with a wicked sense of humour (various waitrons and the manager) food was next level tasty and please have their hot chocolate! We had their lunch menu and you get your portion and think that's small but it's so not, it was perfect. Never had pork belly like that ever, and the brisket was just melt in your mouth.
Had a lovely lunch at Vadas on the magnificent Spier winefarm. Highlights were the smoked brisket and the pastis de nata. Pizza was decent. There is an extensive wine and drinks menu. Service was efficient and friendly
I tried their smoked food twice and on both occasions the flavours were underwhelming. Good food but just not smokey enough, yet they call themselves a smokehouse.
The pasteis de nata however is seriously good, especially if you manage to get it warm and fresh. This is possible the best pasteis de nata in Cape Town and it will keep me coming back here.
Service was good, the location and ambiance exceptional. Well priced too.
The food was so good that we had to go back, two days in a row. Staff was were helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful with lovely lawns for piknik and children playing. I loved the whole Spier Winery.
This is such a good spot for breakfast. Sit outside if the weather permits and dont forget to grab your Pastel De Nata - they're done very well.
Excellent, friendly staff! Lovely setting and delicious meals and snacks! Highly recommended!
And very special cappuccino (see the attached photo!)
