Review Simply Greek - Stellenbosch

My hubby and I saw this place and wanted to try. The waitress Anell. Was so sweet and kind. Very polite to check up on us. Gosh I forgot my phone on the couch, she ran and found me to give to me. Such honest people! The food was tasty and abundant. Just a little thing of a bit too much salt on the lamb and the seasoning on the pita bread. Please order the platter for one. It's like for two people! I had to take home leftovers :)

Great Restaurant, delicious menu! The food was absolutely amazing, loved the authentic feel and decoration of this very cute restaurant. The food was very flavorful and we enjoyed every bite! Staff was also very friendly and service was reasonably fast. Would love to return here again on our next holiday and would want to order some of the delicious dips extra to take home! We also saw the Ubereats delivery guy come get some meals for pickup, which is a GREAT bonus for Stellenbosch residents.

We had a great evening sitting outside on the pavement, enjoying a very tasteful meal. We were served very portions of great food. Good service and nice atmosphere.

What a gem. Ended up here haphazardly. Food was excellent. Service was great. I can really recommend this one. Will be going back.

Really good experience in this typical Greek restaurant. The food came in big quantities and we could enjoy several typical Greek dishes. I recommend if you want to feel in Greece

It has the authentic Greek flavour and style but there were problems with the execution today. I had the lamb chops which was 4 very thin, tiny but tasty chops. They came with a single pita and a tiny dip. It would best be described as a snack not a meal. My wife and daughter had souvlaki’s. But they found the lamb and pork dry and tough although well presented and flavoured. We would probably have been better sharing a platter for 2 for roughly the same price. The service was slow but friendly. This is definitely not a 4 or 5 star experience though. We are unlikely to go back.

Chilled, relaxed, laughter and friends. That’s how at home you feel at Simply Greek. The Staff is excellent. Precious served us, he was on the ball 👌🏼. The food was delicious, we had shawarmas with a lamb filling. It was served with a Greek salad and potato wedges. They have a good selection of wines, beer and spirits for adults and something for the kiddies as well. We enjoyed a selection from Lourensford Wines. Well done Simply Greek on achieving such a welcome homely atmosphere ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was nice but wow the service was excellent here - really lovely vibe. The doors stay open so be sure to indulge in some wine to stay warm!

Value for money is amazing and all for authentic Greek food. Been there many times and going there again soon

My favourite restaurant in Stellies!!! The mezze is delicious and the shwarmas are full of tasty and fresh ingredients. Definitely worth a visit!

An authentic Greek experience! Tucked away in Stellenbosch - but a treat when you come across it! This little restaurant has so much to offer. From the gorgeous interior which reminds me of a Greek tavern - to the variety of tapas. The menu has something for everyone. The hostess is friendly and welcoming. The owners absolute gems. All kitchen staff have been thoroughly taught by the Greek family. <br/><br/>My favorite items on the menu include: the fresh falafels, dolmadakia, spanakopita, shrimp saganaki, mousaka and chicken souvlaki. Though every time I come here there is something new to try which I fall in love with! <br/><br/>All in all - a fantastic restaurant which I urge everyone to try if you come to Stellenbosch!

Great food! Beers on tap, and a super selection of Greek meze. Plates of food for two or more to share. Grab a few pitas and a dip, and you have a fun meal to share. Makes for great take away too!

Went to simply Greek a few months ago on a date with my Girlfriend. Authentic, cosy little Greek restaurant with some decent food. Laid back Greek video. It took me back in time to the beautiful time that I spent in Athens back in 2010. An enjoyable evening!

Such potential. <br/>Simply Greek is beautifully decorated in the heart of Stellenbosch. A quaint, authentic feeling Greek restaurant.<br/><br/>My partner and I shared a hummus and pita which was warm and absolutely delicious.<br/>However, our mains took quite long and we were the only customers. The food was cold when it arrived. I asked for no tomato on my yeero but when jt came it was loaded with tomato so I couldn't take a bite without hunting out the tomato first. <br/><br/>A little disappointed seeing as I drove to Stellenbosch especially to come try Simply Greek.

Had a great dinner at this cozy, intimate restaurant. The food was great and the host is extremely attentive, helpful and passionate about his work. The only downside was that bathrooms are across the road, but on the other hand, the walk is a nice break between the delicious courses!

Not what I have expected from food to service very small and intimate restaurant no bathrooms you need to go across the road to another Restaurant! Food arrived in drips and drabs. Will definitely not see me again.
