It was a very beautiful day when I visited. It was a beautiful place as well. Enough parking. Wheel chair accessible. We had a picnic on the grass and there was an Easter egg hunt going on. There was enough space for everyone. The store has unique items. There is a very traditional type store outside. They make hand crafted jewelry and animals and using recycled materials to make beautiful items. Worth the drive and the experience. One tick of my bucket list.
Spier Farm Kitchen has everything you need to put together a delicious and fun picnic for the family or that special someone. Order a ready made picnic or put your own together. Pastries, breads, salads, nuts, sweeties, cold drinks, wine and there were even avos in a dish at the checkout. Be sure to try the house brand ice tea. There are some tables and chairs available, but the green lawn is very inviting, so remember to bring a blanket!

The presentation at Eagle encounters was next level, the bird handler who conducted the show "Clinton" was very knowledgeable about the various birds that were displayed, he handled them very well & enthralled everyone by including them in the show. The other bird encounters were also well recieved by helpful staff. The area around the venue was beautifully laid out with the " singing magnetic rocks " being very interesting too... We will definitely return to picnic in the gardens soon... very highly recommended to anyone wanting a break from the hustle & bustle of Cape Town.
Ooh the food is tasty... i enjoyed the serene while having lunch. The fresh smell of the greenery is heavenly. Perfection 👌
We loved it! What awesome staff and food, the only comment i can make is bacon free chilli poppers and they must be deep fried.
OTHERWISE IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL!

Wine tasting was great as well. Diferent options. Not so many details explained, just short words on every wine.
Authentic farm kitchen with deli. Fresh cakes, tarts and other delicacies available with coffee. Great for light lunches with a variety of fresh salads. Cured meats, cheese, wine and local produce available from deli section. Pricey though!

Only prebooked picnic baskets unfortunately, previous summer it was possible to buy on the same day.

Beautiful setting, Farmer Angus supplied kitchen so the food quality is incredible.
Highly recommended. Great menu and service to match.....
Well worth an outing. Quality goods, amazing setting and don't leave without Farmer Angus' meat products or Chef PJ's Vadas pies.
