We had a lovely time. We did not book in advance but after we waited for a few minutes we got a lovely table. Our waiter, Ocean, was great and made our visit memorable. The food was also great and we enjoyed the art very much. Will defenitely go again and recommend to others.
Excellent food , good service ! Was there yesterday Sunday 30th July 2017
We highly recommend this place
Perfect spot for brunch. We forgot to make a booking, however we got a seat immediately. Good service and good food with the prettiest view. Suitable for family and children.

I love this deli. The views are breathtaking and the waiters are very attentive. My favorite dish is the calamari starter, it’s delicious (and no I’m not usually a salad person). It’s a great place to lounge around on a weekend, casually with friends and a few glasses of wine, while overlooking the beautiful winelands. It’s very reasonably priced, if you’re looking for something more casual than the main Tokara restaurant. I never regret coming here.
Yes, the food is amazing and the staff are super friendly but the setting won this 5/5.
Delicatessen is a brilliant bar-setting wine farm gem for breakfast, brunch and lunch. You can never go wrong here.
The menu is small, and full of classics like the Eggs Benedict but everything is done with so much care it feels like a brand new dish. And the carrot cake is to die for.
I also love the fact that the café is still small which gives it a more intimate, calm ambience.
Have some spare time to admire the peacocks, sculptures and bric-a-bracs for sale.
Gorgeous setting in the Cape Winelands, I opted for a croissant and coffee which was lovely. The views at the deli are simply breathtaking and the service is great..definitely worth a visit on a warm summers day.
Went to a wedding here and it was honestly beautiful! The food served was incredible and the vegan option was so creative. I adore this venue and know it is always busy. Worth a visit
The burgers 🍔 are amazing and milkshakes too, the view of simonsberg and vineyards are really spectacular and such a nice place for a lunch
This is a short and sweet review for a place that speaks for itself...
It's in the winelands, nestled in a pass (directly across the Delaire Graff Estate (make sure to read our review on DG 🤓📖)
Tokara is unpretentious and cosy, almost as if long time friends have invited you to their family wine farm to enjoy the vistas and the locally made wines. It's effortless and unapologetic about its farm style delicatessen
Order a cheese and cold meat board to start 🥖🧀🥓, and add some excellent South African bubbly 🍾
If still hungry, the farm-home-style delicatessen offers a wide range of hearty food options for all tastes. Soak up the sun through their glazed glass walls which give an indoor/outdoor feel, gaze into the vineyards in the valley below... if you're keen to feel wisps of wind to remind you you're alive and life couldn't be better, have a seat outside 😎
The art enthusiast shall enjoy the numerous sculptures dotting the property by artists as Guy Du Toit, Wilma Cruise, Sarel Petrus and many more 🗽
*TIP: its most beautiful just before midday to late afternoon... bring good shoes👟, sunglasses🕶, a hat 👒and SP 30+
park the car by the main wine making room (after perusing the wine making processes) and take a walk up a small ascend through the shrubbery to the Delicatessen a few hundred meters off
We arrived without a reservation last, but were very warmly accommodated, space is ample but to be safe make an advanced booking ☎️
What a place!!! Lovely view of the wine yard and a pretty garden with peacocks, it's the perfect setting for a scrumptuous meal. Service was also very attentive. The pork belly is to die for, crispiest skin I have ever had!
Always a satisfying occasion. Views are breathtaking! Had 5 star service. Coffee is a lovely balance. Breakfast is very reasonably priced. Lunch is a bit pricier.
Had the chartucery platter. Divine doll! Meaty and moreish, just the way I like it. Surrounded by fabulous art and picturesque Winelands. Gay heaven, and I'm the fallen angel that got back on his feet to sissy that walk. The stuff in the deli also looks so good you may spend your salary there. Although, their prices are very reasonable (not cheap, reasonable) like a neat bob cut rather than a highlights and asymmetrical fringe do.
