Real good food! We let us recommend by the waiter. The recommendation was really good.. We loved it!
Had a fantastic meal here with wonderful attentive staff. Spoiled for choice with the amazing menu. Great ambience and would certainly recommend it.
The setting is nice, on the street. Service was very friendly, but slow. The lamb shoulder is excellent. The kingklip and chicken fillet was good too. There was a gumboot dancer that came to “entertain” the patrons, which is a bit annoying, but when he was allowed to walk into the seating area to collect money I thought that was a bit over the top. I’m there to have dinner with friends and family. We skipped dessert as there was nothing that interested us. Stellenbosch is blessed with many good restaurants, I’ll give this one a miss.
Best fillet I've had in the past year. Melt-in-your-mouth good. Great wine selection to go with our dishes. Very good service. Definitely making this a regular spot.
We had a great dinner here. Super friendly service. One surf and turf with delusions Cray fish and venison. And the fish of the day. Very tasteful and generous portions.

Feels homely and welcoming, large menu and wine list, cosy and romantic. Pork belly starter was great and so was the line fish (sea bream) main. Had a really pleasant evening!
Oppie Dorp Restaurant is a dining experience complimented with really great service! The menu is truly unique and interesting from various game/venison options to the usual family favorites, including a "to-die-for" calamari!
We had an absolutely lovely evening and as usual filled up with starters and mains so no deserts.
We were however treated with a small "Mandla-Chino" to end the meal off with, make sure you ask for one when you visit!
Excellent service! Amazing food! Comparing to Joburg restaurants this is 10/10 stuff! Landed here by change, will return for sure. Good work!
Dec 29 lunch: We were roaming around to find a restaurant to eat as it was already past 3 pm. We saw this place with quite an entry - barrels and benches on the street. The place is done up elegantly and has one liners written with chalk on black boards hung on the walls. The food is of good with quality and fresh ingredients. The pizza, open sandwich, prawns and calamari - all tasted good. However, hardly any option for vegetarians. The cheesecake though was good and good end to the meal.
This is a really warm restaurant with great service, food and wine!! I had the vegetarian meal and wow it was too much deliciousness on one plate. Brent Neethling had the chicken wrapped in bacon and that too was tasty !
An intimate and elegant setting with a quirky charm. The hostess was amazing and tended to our every need of wine, champagne and personal dietary restrictions. There were free side dishes that needed more something.. But the rest of the food was brilliant!
