We had a great lunch there yesterday. Good starters and main course. For dessert was no more room left in our stomach. 🤣🤷🙈 the Service was good and the prices were absolutely OK for that quality. We would recommend it.
We had a delightful meal at this lovely restaurant this evening. The service here is super good and very professional yet down to earth. We had the warm salad as a starter which was preceeded by the tastiest bread platter on the house. For main course we had the vegetable stack and the rib eye. The steak has to rate amongst the top steaks I have eaten. Very well prepared with a delicious side of mash potatoes. For desert we had the poached pear and the banana sticky toffee pudding. Every course was delicious. I so recommend stopping in here if you are in Stellenbosch. You will not be disappointed.
We walked in without booking in advance. The place was cosy and fancy. The food was so rich and delicious. I enjoyed my slow braised lamb a lot. The highlight was the dessert, it was divine. It was not too sweet and the combination of the malva pudding and ice cream worked together splendidly. From my colleagues' words, their fish dishes are tasty as well. It was a very satisfying dinner.

With the superb setting, no that would outwit the staff - super kind, knowledgeable, attentive, hospitality at the highest rate imaginable.
Food? Beyond your palet! Honestly, I do not remember any place in this planet that has offered such an exquisite, superb and highly balanced dinner (duck's paté and lamb) with accompanying superb wines from the region, (Rose from Lanzarac's pinotage with a jolly bite, and Syrah from La Motte, dark leatherly cocao and soft plumps.)

such a wonderful, lovely and charming location! we got a warm welcome from the beginning. you can either eat at the pool in the back, in the restaurant/hotel or outside in front of the street (which is also quite nice because there are a lot of street artists). the food is very very delicious. they have also a amazing wine list. i can highly recommend the place (parking spaces are at the street available - but not always). we also got a baby chair. five star!
Helena's Restaurant is a true dining experience: delicious food, friendly service and, how could it be otherwise, great wines. I opted for the starter with salmon and the dorado. Really recommendable.
Had the best pre- birthday dinner - Neil was our host for the evening and he did it with grace and attentiveness. We don’t offer come to Stellies but when we do - we will be back to Helena’s. Absolutely adore the sunflowers and a homely feel.
One of the biggest gems in Stellenbosch! The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and the food is consistently exceptional. Plus, the chef went out of his way to make the best meal for my sister taking her unique allergies into account. Guaranteed an incredible experience :)
Amazing food and service! The hotel concierge recommended as we missed another reservation, and it was an excellent surprise. Delicious food and excellent service. Our waiter was very nice and willing to help. The environment is very comfortable and nice. Nice background music. I had as a starter the cheese soufflé, which was amazing. My main was the mushroom risoto, which was really good! The desert.. OMG... delicious.. strongly recommend!
