What a discovery! Pure magic lives at De Poskantoor. I would drive along those beautiful farm roads between lush green fields every day if I could. Just for another helping of French toast, cream cheese, fig preserve and home made bacon. Highly recommended. Friday therapy session

We had an absolutely delicious Sunday breakfast at this lovely little bistro. Friendly service, magnificent views and the best bacon on the planet! The only downside is that it is off the beaten track and I imagine the gravel road may put off some people. I urge you to go, this place is a real treat

We had the most delicious lunch this past Saturday. Everyone loved their meals and it was so nice chatting to the owner. You can tell everything is grown, made, cooked and served with love. A must visit when you are anywhere near Tesselaarsdal. We also bought some lovely goodies and gifts to take home with us.

Drove far to get there, waited quite a while for the food, but honestly worth every mile and each penny. I had a Mexican omlette, which had a bit too much salt, but that is properly a personal preference thing. Highly recommended.

An absolute little gem in the middle of nowhere! Very pleasantly surprised by the bacon & avo rosti. Some really great other breakfast options on the menu. Our server was informative and helpful. Peaceful and casual setting, with outside seating for smokers and customers with dogs

De Poskantoor is a hidden gem of a restaurant nestled in the picturesque village of Tesselaarsdal. Housed in an old post office building, the restaurant has a rustic charm that adds to its character and appeal. The menu at De Poskantoor is a delightful mix of traditional South African and international dishes, with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The chefs have a flair for creating dishes that are not only delicious but also visually stunning. The presentation of the food is as important as the taste, with each dish thoughtfully crafted to delight the senses. The service at De Poskantoor is warm and friendly, with staff members who are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. The wine list is extensive, with a good selection of local and international wines to complement the food. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a fireplace that adds to the ambiance on chilly evenings. During the warmer months, guests can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Overall, De Poskantoor is a wonderful restaurant that is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Western Cape. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Honestly, the best breakfast in the Western Cape. Nice easy environment, and just loads of charm. If you’re planning a trip to the area make this your breakfast or lunch stop. Also, the fact the breakfast was R95, which was a culinary “hide and seek” was amazing! Kept finding more food on my plate! As a breakfast man, this place spoke to me. Edit: Make sure to call ahead of time. As it is popular spot for locals. And as it a small establishment, your orders can take some time. Then again, you'd expect to wait longer for a larger meal at home, the same is true here. So, be cool.

Love the atmosphere, good food. All people are super friendly. Home away from home. Anybody in Western Cape who loves travelling a must visit. Set times and reservations are necessary. Variety for breakfast opens at 08:00 till 11:30 - Fri, Sat & Sun. Special bookings, parties up to 12 people and during week as well. A must experience!!!

Situated in the old post office building is the quaintest coffee shop. Lovely decor. Fantastic food served with a little garden salad with edible flowers in it. The food presentation is gorgeous. The iced coffee is amazing and they also have a list of unusual milkshake flavours, we tried the liquorice and the rum and raisin, both were lovely. If you are in Caledon I highly recommend paying this place a visit for breakfast or lunch.

Two charming ladies served us delicious food! They chatted to us like friends. Food was great and nobody starved! We ended off with the best cuppacino.

Real Quint Old Town Charm with a delectable menu. All freshly made so be prepared to wait a little bit for authentic, well presented meals. Interesting History and even some old uncollected post to read. Kind hosts and staff.
